I managed to escape with only having purchased 2 books and a journal. The salesperson was very friendly and available if help was needed. Great selection of books, would much rather support an independent bookstore like this than a big box store or online retailer. That's The Mix. A totally non-judgemental arts and crafts store that appreciates you trying to make art and do crafts in a world increasingly not built for beauty, but for zeros and ones. I found everything I was looking for and so much more here: really sparkly embroidery thread that I never knew existed, gold pens that write oh-so-smooth, and locally made glittery watercolor paint (no gatekeeping here, it's Antimadder Art if you want to look it up). Genuinely, my partner had been craving colors exactly like these! Loving their new space; it's a big, old building with loads of windows to flood every nook and cranny with natural light! Be sure to sign up for loyalty points! There are workshops and product demos now! And in the summer they have live music on their porch! Go. Get your supplies.
