One of my husband's favorite hobbies when we travel for work is to try pancakes at different…read morerestaurants. He is very particular about pancakes, and always gets them with blueberries. He said these are hands-down one of the two best restaurants for pancakes he has ever been to. (The other is in Washington DC). The Klompen cakes with blueberries were light, fluffy, and delicious. I even had half of one of his (he ordered three!) and was incredibly impressed. I got the veggie power blend skillet (sauce on the side) with two poached eggs. I only added salt and pepper, it did not even need the sauce that came with it, it was that good. The orange juice was truly fresh squeezed, the latte was good and the coffee was strong. Overall, an excellent experience. The only drawback to our breakfast experience was not being able to have real maple syrup with the pancakes. Kristin, a thoughtful and attentive server, explained that they used to have this as an option, but no longer do. We highly recommend if you are in the area!

The strudel was also excellent with a perfectly balanced gravy, well done potatoes, and eggs. The flavors and textures were perfect. The server was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was average. Not bad average, just fine average. No complaints. Just a basic farm style diner vibe. I highly recommend this place.

I have been going here for a very long time and would go every Friday when I could. The food here…read moreis amazing and I have never once had a problem. The tenders original are my go to but the chicken sand which I have heard is possibly even better. I always love the Dutch bakery vibes where you can see in the back and what the workers do. The workers themselves are very friendly and helpful. I always recommend this place for people traveling to Holland or grab a quick bite for lunch. They have bakery items of course and I have tried but their breakfast and lunch menu is my personal favorite.

I was looking for places to check out on my recent Holland adventure and this place intrigued me…read more.. because it's a bakery/cafe that has chicken tenders....!! I LOVE chicken tenders. I drove up and loved the spacious parking lot. Walking in, the bakery was well lit and clean, and a bit overwhelming. They had so many kinds of baked goods, including some Dutch specialties like banket. (I honestly have no idea what that is but I know it's a Dutch pastry.) You can order 2, 3, 5, or 12 tenders at a time, and you can get them as a combo (with fries and a drink) or just by themselves. I opted for two tenders, one plain and one with original dry rub which is kind of like a ranch flavor. I also ordered a Diet Coke. The food didn't take too long to come out, and the tenders were hefty and super crispy. I liked the dry rub, but I think I'd just go with plain next time because they have the most delicious honey mustard. The Diet Coke was also super crispy and this was such a nice snack. They also have a menu of breakfast options like egg sandwiches, bagels, avocado toast, etc. The lunch menu is rounded out with salads, sandwiches, and mac and cheese. If I lived nearby I think I'd be a regular here!

Cute cafe! Very diverse menu. You place your order at the counter and they'll call your name to…read morecome and get it. Heavily blueberry themed, as it's related to the blueberry farms up here. Reasonable prices for food and drinks as well. It can get REALLY busy though, so be patient. Especially busy in the morning on the weekend. It was fine during the daytime during the weekday. I bought some merch as well as food, including chocolate covered blueberries and a cute dog collar for my new puppy! (See picture). Got breakfast here twice and got the kids breakfast quesadilla, which was big enough for 2 people, in my opinion. Also got a blueberry crisp iced coffee and donuts and pastries for later definitely a must when in Holland

In the Dutch town of Holland, Michigan, there is a little café where the color blue feels less like…read morea shade and more like a way of life. Bowerman's on 8th is a love letter to the humble blueberry, written in the language of warm lattes, fresh pastries, and shelves overflowing with jars that seem to bottle summer itself. As someone with a dairy allergy, coffee shops can sometimes feel like places built for everyone else. But here there was kindness in the details--different milk options, thoughtful choices, and the feeling that everyone should be able to enjoy a good cup of coffee. Traveling from out of state, this was one of the places I circled on my map, hoping reality would match the stories. Somehow, it was even better. The blueberry latte was the kind of drink that slows time. Bright and refreshing, sweet without trying too hard, tasting like a morning walk through a Michigan orchard after the rain. Around me were cases filled with treats and shelves stacked with jams, syrups, and every blueberry creation imaginable, each one carrying a little piece of the region's soul. There is something beautiful about a place that chooses one simple thing and perfects it. Bowerman's does not merely sell coffee--it celebrates harvests, local traditions, and the quiet joy of gathering around a table. You leave with a warm cup in your hands, a bag of blueberry treasures under your arm and a feeling of satisfaction. Some places are worth the drive. Some are worth the hype. Bowerman's on 8th is both.
