The gentleman that served me was excellent in recommending what sort of frame would work well with the prints and showed a selection of border sizes, colours and materials to choose from. They offer a fantastic range of frames to suit all tastes and they were ready to pick up within a few days, even though he quoted two weeks which is fantastic service. I left the prints with him so they could be put in the frames, and they were professionally wrapped with all the fixtures needed to hang them. They were quite expensive, but no more than I thought really as the service and standard was great and I couldn't get these size frames anywhere. As well as frames, they sell posters and prints framed or unframed ranging from small postcard pieces to huge wall hangings. A great store which offers great service. I will go here again.

The shop is situated down a smallish side street opposite a big co-op in the town centre, away from the busy high street and therefore easy to park. The shop provides numerous frames in all shapes and sizes, all woods and synthetics. We have often conducted business there, and often go back with new pictures every month or so. The service provided is impeccable, with great attention to detail maintained, and quality always a paramount. The shop has a loyal local customer base but I think mainly now operates as a mail order/telephone business. The shop is highly recommended by us for people requiring a professional framing service for formal or informal matters, at good value.

Looking for a place to have a newly acquired piece of artwork framed (I am getting of that age…read moreobviously...) and literally stumbled across this place when we went for a wander. They also have another shop of the same name in Islington. Not only is this a place to get art framed, you can also grab yourself some cool prints, pictures and photos, as well as a decent range of trinkets and keep-sakes. The service here was fantastic. The print we wanted framed only just fitted in the car as it was taped to a large cardboard back to keep it safe, but there was no way this was getting back in there once framed...so they agreed to drop it off one day with their van, at no extra cost, fantastic! I have a few more things that need framing and although prices are not cheap (are they ever when it comes to framing?), I'll be coming back.

This is one of my most secret places to go! Think you need to go to Ikea to get an affordable…read moreframe for a photo or print? WRONG! Everest are a great family business hidden away in Saltley. There's onsite parking which they share with the other businesses on the industrial estate, so you may have to squeeze in next to cars waiting for MOTs. Inside, it's nothing like a shop. You'll squeeze down a corridor lined with other people's orders waiting to be collected, all neatly wrapped up in bubble wrap. Above these orders are samples of the types of frames they work with - everything is made-to-measure, and you can choose the mount and frame to match your taste and budget. These guys can turn around frames in quite short notice - like 48 hours! - but be warned, because of their religion they are closed for quite a bit of Friday when they attend mosque. Which is fine, as long as you remember and plan for it! (We once sat in the carpark on a Friday for quite a while waiting for them to get back... oops!)
