The shop is great for a massive discount but not really for searching for a most wanted book. Also available at 'The Works' are celebrity calenders, postcards, posters and for some reason lots of books about Steam Railways?! The shop often is very disorganised, with some items not really displayed but merely plonked down in their original packaging with the top ripped open. However, the shop is good for childrens books, big floppy paperbacks that kids love. It does seem quite a kids orientated shop actually, running all over the place whenever I've passed. The best thing about the shop is its location. The shop is situated right in the heart of the town centre, literally probably the most central shop in the town. A good shop for Christmas when you dont know what to buy for presents!

The photographer was very professional and patient. We were with little girl who didn't really want play with us that day. But we ended up with very nice photos to choose from. Master work. What I didn't like was pushy sales man showing us the photos. Their high end sale offer is expensive, as 4 digits+. Sounds bit too much for couple photos. And you have to pay extra if you would like to have those photos on cd for future use too. Over all 3,5. Professional, but overpriced.

Rachel is extremely relaxed and she is very open to ideas, but like many of us, we just struggle as soon as we get in front of the camera to set the right tone. This is when Rachel comes into her own. Full of ideas and patience. I did various clothes changes with Rachel and she never clock watched once. She really took time to develop the scene and it all seemed very natural. I've been a model so it was hard at first for me to come out of 'model pose' mode, since that was not what I wanted to portray! Rachel got me out of the 'model mode' without me being aware of it. HA! Very lovely lady to deal with and yes, I'm recommending her to everyone I know who either wants the same as me or a different service she offers. Brilliant lady and I love the pictures! In fairness, the grounds are stunning, with acres of well kept gardens, a beautiful lake, tennis court, croquet lawns and pitch and put. The front of the main building is also beautiful and is of course what they use to sell the experience to you. Unfortunately, where we actually stayed was a separate building out the back which looked more like a block of flats. The room was tiny but did the job. Unfortunately, it was boiling hot as the heating has now been put on 24 hours a day and the window only opens a crack. There was tea and coffee making facilities, free wifi in the room (excellent), hairdryer (no mirror in the room apart from the one in the bathroom - not so excellent). The bed was comfy so can't really complain. There is also a small gym with basic facilities. The bar is an average hotel bar with pricy drinks. The breakfast was ok - typical buffet breakfast. Unfortunately, we had to sit on a table that had already been used and hadn't been cleared. Simple touches that could have made the experience more enjoyable. On the whole though the staff were friendly and helpful and for the £65 room rate it was an A-OK experience.
