The staff are super nice, and the bartender gave a great drink recommendation based on what I told him I was looking for. They have game consoles with an insane variety of games throughout the bar and seating area, which are all open to play for free. They have any game you could ever want-PlayStation, Nintendo, sega, etc, and board games to play as well. They have a ton of fun events every month: trivia, bingo, karaoke-always with different themes. If you're looking for something fun to do, I promise this is your place. A million stars!

Two of us ordered drinks right away and sat at the bar playing video games. The rest of our group was still deciding what they wanted, which we understood fell under the one drink minimum per person rule. One friend sat with us at the bar while we had our drinks and was told by the bartender that she couldn't sit there without purchasing a drink, so she moved. She then stood near our other friends, who were playing an arcade game, and they were told they could not play unless they each bought a drink. At this point, they stood behind us at the bar to look over the menu and decide what they wanted, but that didn't seem to matter. The bartender repeatedly returned and escalated the situation instead of allowing any reasonable time to order, stating they could get water if they wanted and that it did not have to be alcoholic. After only a couple of minutes, the same bartender came out from behind the bar again and said in a rude, condescending tone that they "don't understand... if they don't buy a drink, then they can't even be in the building." Our friends explained that we had already purchased drinks and were simply deciding what we wanted, but at that point, they were turned off by his behavior and no longer wanted anything--and frankly, neither did we. We cashed out our tab, finished our drinks, and left. We were already paying customers and would have ordered more drinks, but the handling of the situation made that impossible. Instead, the business lost not only our additional sales, but also several friends who were planning to join us and spend money. We are local to the area and not teenagers causing a disturbance, which is what the situation felt like when our friends were told to leave for no clear reason. I understand house rules like a one-drink minimum, but there is a professional way to enforce them. This wasn't it. Not everyone can or wants to order immediately--whether due to preferences, pacing, or dietary restrictions--and the lack of flexibility or basic courtesy was disappointing. Instead of encouraging guests to stay and order more, the approach did the opposite. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my impression of the place, and I don't see myself returning. There are other spots in the area with a similar concept that offer a much more welcoming and customer-friendly experience, and I would recommend exploring those instead.

The front wall and roof of the store screamed Candy Candy Candy by it's vibrantly colorful lollipops, gum drops and taffy decor. This was going to be a quick stop since parking on Wilton Drive is limited and notorious for citations by the aggressive meter maid. Based on my concern, the sole employee advised that a few free parking spaces in the rear are available for a strict maximum of fifteen minutes, which is a kind offering. The inside was much larger than the front view of the building reflects. The giant yellow Haribo bear stood proudly by the front door with bags of sour gummies hanging from it's chest. For chocolate enthusiasts, there was an entire section dedicated to fresh chocolate treats. At a quick glance, it was evident that a large amount of the candies were old school big brands. Aside from candies, there were novelty gifts which include coffee mugs with celebrity, pride rainbow and 80's TV shows like Seinfeld, Peanuts or Laverne and Shirley prints. Hundreds of hanging decorative ornaments fill the ceiling but unsure if those are for sale. Very cool candy store with alot of originality and snug parking.

When my family was embarking on a cruise from Fort Lauderdale, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce my own kids to the Jungle Queen. It's a short boat ride that takes you through the canals behind the mansions and quasi-famous homes on the water. Your guide on board will tell you about the homes and landmarks you pass en route. There is a bar on board, so no need to sail sober! LOL There are also a few snacks for purchase. The air movement on the boat keeps you from getting too warm, even when the sun is blazing, but don't forget your sunscreen. There's no bad seat aboard. All in all, it's a nice little boat ride if you're looking to get outside and burn some time in Fort Lauderdale. There is a string of food shops along the waterfront outside the entrance, so you can plan to grab lunch or dinner before or after your ride. We really enjoyed our trip, but I'm deducting one star due to the boat traffic (which I know they cannot really help). Maneuvering around all the other drunks in their watercraft was kind of a drag.

Plays of Wilton makes its home at The Foundry, a 54 seat black box theater that is wheelchair accessible. Since there are only 4 rows of seats and the theater is small and intimate, almost any seat in the main section is a good seat. The seats are next to each other, so people sit tightly in this small venue. There are some side seats sometimes, but I do not recommend, since the angle of vision to the stage is not the best. Out of all the seats in the main area, I find seat B7 to be the best. There's a pole next to it and an aisle on the other side, so this is the one seat that is almost "private". The plays are mostly LGBTQ+ themed and based. The one I went to see called 10 Naked Men was not all nude. Actors stayed clothed most of the time, but the title sure got people excited about the show....LOL.... Hunter's the nightclub was kind enough to donate red and white wine as well as water for the show, so these beverages were complementary throughout the play. There is limited parking in front and behind theater with some handicapped parking spaces. The theater opens one half hour prior to performance times. Performances are usually Wednesday through Sunday. Evening performances at 8 PM and matinees at 2 or 3 PM. As of 2024, the performances are usually : $35 General Reserved Seating $50 Premium 1st Row Seating $25 Side seating, when available

When I asked why he hadn't taken it there, he said the actors were "too demanding and difficult." I believed in the Foundry enough to personally contribute $5,000 in 2022. That same year, I brought him a play I had discovered from obscurity, then produced and directed in Los Angeles in 1997, which Encounters magazine named it one of the year's best theatrical experiences. Ronnie produced a staged reading at the Foundry where he allowed me to direct it. After the reading at the Foundry, he proclaimed to the audience that "It was the best staged reading in the history of his theatre." He then asked the audience whether he should produce it. The answer was an yes. He scheduled it for December 2023 and hired me to direct. When holiday conflicts cost me most of my cast, I asked in October for help recasting and for a meeting with the set designer. He cancelled the production, calling me "too demanding and difficult." The theatre has since announced Stray Dog Story, directed by Mr. Larsen. I hold no rights to that play, but the timing is disappointing and poor business practice as he promised that he would support me if I produced it elsewhere. This support did not happen. Theft? No. Hurtful and mean spirited? In my opinion yes. I remain grateful for the work I saw at the Foundry. When we walked in we were greeted by a couple of the Queens, who quickly took us to our table. We got to choose from many delicious meals. I had the chicken and waffles, my friend had the chicken sandwich, and our birthday girl had the chicken Caesar salad. All of our meals were delicious, and we said we were surprised. We expecting maybe lower quality considering they were more of a show than a restaurant. We were happily proved wrong. The fries were extra crispy, the chicken and waffles were divine, and my friend said it was one of the best chicken Caesar salads she had. The Saturday and Sunday brunches come with all you can drink mimosas or bloody Marys. Even though none of us drink we thought that was great. The show began shortly after lunch and was highly entertaining! Each $40 ticket included lunch and the show. We loved every minute of it! These queens are so dedicated to their craft, and their costume changes and wig changes were incredible! Like I said it was my friend's birthday celebration, and for $10 more she got to be put on stage and have a picture taken with two queens. All in all it lasted about 2 hours and 40 minutes, and we all had a fantastic time! This was my third or fourth time there, and it is a great place to do any kind of celebration! I highly recommend Lips for any function! (Make sure to remember your singles for all the tips for the performers)
