We had difficulty connecting through teams because my phone was acting up but Marcelina was quick to offer another route, which was FaceTime and it worked out perfectly, throughout the interview process she was beyond professional, enlightening, graceful, and encouraging. during the interview Marcelina would make suggestions for upgrading my résumé and making the edits once approved by me she also walked me through a few interview questions, and how to properly answer... she would coach me on what not to do, and how to approach certain situations. After the interview was completed, Marcelina started looking for positions that fit my experience and offered to submit my résumé and introduce me right away. I feel that my desired job will be in my hands in no time. Marcelina made me feel comfortable talking with her she made it a point to get to know me and what I would like to do. Other companies will simply take your résumé conduct a simple 15 minute interview and let you know that they will give you a call if something comes up. Such as the phycology, in behind the scenes, from the interviewer's stand point of view, and the interviewee's point of view. I'd rather people know my experience with hopes that they (Appleone) would grow out of their unprofessional ways, and/or, to prevent others from the same fate. "To Whom It May Concern, At this point, I think it's wise to leave from Appleone from the lack of professionalism that I have received overall. I am shocked that there is such a lack of communication regarding w-2 forms, payment stubs, and most of all, political and unnecessary cattiness regarding me genuinely finding a job. Strike One. I was excited to join Appleone and interviewed and was set up to take tests. I remember words being given and that the recruiter wanted me to get paid so that they would get paid. I suppose I understand the need to be honest, but honestly, this gut feeling I had that day ended up being correct in the end - greed. Strike Two. It is surprising that I was denied the email to set up my pay stub because my w-2 wasn't received. It turns out that the w-2 was received but the recruiter didn't see it? Then, once there was a mistake on my recruiter's end, Appleone never was accountable or apologetic. Instead, I was told by my recruiter to hurry and finish the pay card as if I was placing myself in gridlock to get paid. Strike Three. On the day of the Canyon Fire (roughly a week after pay period and about a week or so after I submitted my time card), when I wanted to be cautious by helping my family find a different place to stay for the night, I received a call I thought was genuine. This was the conversation- Recruiter: "Hey Kelsey, how's your family?" Me: Good. We are on our way out of Anaheim because... Recruiter: *cuts me off* "No, are you ready to start working? Can I look for a job for you?" Me: *flabbergasted* Yes? Recruiter: "I will keep you posted on the jobs." Me: okay. Thank you, I will talk... Recruiter: *cutoff* "Kelsey? We don't have a time card for you. Did you ever fill out a time card for [company name]?" Me: Yes, I am most certain I did. You guys should have it. Recruiter: "Well, we don't have it. We need it filled out so that you can get paid." Me: I will triple check when I get a chance. I'm sure I did. Thanks, bye. It turns out that the call was a ploy for someone to get money out of me (Appleone). No genuine concern, just a flat and unapologetically pushy sales person wanting to get paid. To top it off, I was informed my pay card was never filled out. I respectfully forwarded the time card PDFs to prove to the recruiter but was given no response in return. How was I to know it was received? No communication. My last strike was the other day when I inquired about my check, or rather, followed up regarding my time card. Instead of apologizing to me for all the mix ups, there was a firm voice on the other end saying my debit card was ready. Debit card? Apparently the other thing my recruiter didn't do was let me know of filling out direct deposit. In addition, the person on the phone defended the recruiter by saying that they wanted to know if I worked last week. The answer of course is no because I told the recruiter my last day of working. No communication. Unfortunately, the last strike didn't stop there. I came in to quietly get my debit card and my recruiter asked me if I wanted to go to a job interview tomorrow. She, snarking, said she called me earlier to tell me. Here's the kicker, I never got a call before I came in. She said she would email, call, or text me info but never did. I do not recommend Appleone and it is a shame. I had high hopes but it has been tainted by the disdainful glare of unprofessionalism and greed. I will pray that someday it will be a respectable place for those that are needing jobs. Most importantly, I hope someone there takes this experience seriously because there is no business without the job seekers. No one deserves to be mistreated as badly as I felt I have. The recurring issues I faced line up exactly with what so many reviews have already said. I believe those reviews are telling the truth--especially one in particular that points out how the "good" reviews seem to come from their own employees. That matches what I've seen firsthand, and it makes the whole process feel misleading and disingenuous. On top of that, they don't even place people in jobs consistently--they only choose who they want and when they feel like it, leaving qualified candidates overlooked and frustrated.
