    We rented a unit in Parkfairfax managed by this property management company and their "property…read moremanagement" was a disaster. I experienced constant flooding and sewage leaking from the kitchen sinks (yep, 2 sinks), giant sized insects invading our space, decaying floor boards from water damage, 3 years of uninterrupted mold and mildew, the need for a dehumidifier requiring 4 buckets of water to be dumped daily, and the last stray was a bathroom ceiling leaks flooding the unit requiring a 1 month stay in the hotel paid for by my insurance and I still had to pay the rent for my unit. During those 3 years, I suffered terribly from respiratory problems for the first time in my life. No empathy shown by the leasing agent or landlord for the major and myriad inconveniences. Upon returning to the unit in addition to the floor repairs they used substandard contractors to paint the walls. During my stay at the hotel (on my insurance's dime, mind you despite paying the full month's rent DURING it's renovation) I was not notified that the walls would be painted until AFTER the work was done, nor was my artwork removed from the walls prior to painting. The substandard painters merely painted around my artwork. Essentially their substandard painting contractors sealed the damage free adhesive to the walls with the paint making the artwork impossible to remove without damaging the wall. Moreover, the substandard contractors also painted over the back door sealing it shut. Upon move-out, the property management company wanted to penalize me for the damage caused by their own substandard painters shoddy work, since there're still holding on to my security deposit. Avoid renting through this "property management" company at all costs

    We lost a significant amount of money on a bad lease transaction that Buck and Associates brokered…read morewith a landlord that Buck and Associates has had problems with and with whom they admitted to us that they have been forced to terminate their association. Buck and Associates was paid in full on this transaction even though it fell through less than a week after it was signed off on, through no fault of ours. We believe that the Buck and Associates realtor knowingly withheld information from us about the state of the house and the fitness of the landlord to manage/lease the property. After the lease termination was signed, we requested that the Buck and Associates realtor not work with the landlord again. Our view of Buck and Associate's role in brokering the lease changed when this same realtor listed that house for sale a few weeks after the landlord terminated our lease. To us, it appears that Buck and Associates capitalized on a landlord that was in the words of the realtor "not ready to rent his property" to turn it into additional profits through the sale of the home. The unexpected termination of this lease forced us to find new housing and complete a move in one week's time. This required a huge time commitment in attempting to work with the landlord, pursuing legal counsel to get advice on how to protect ourselves and rectify this situation, securing new housing, and then actually moving. The situation was incredibly stressful, emotional, and disturbing - requiring my absence from work. This was our first experience working with Buck and Associates. We were hoping to build a relationship with a realtor in the area as we are condo owners in Arlington and have plans to buy a house in the near future. However, this experience left us feeling abused and extorted. We contacted Buck and Associates asking them to return the brokerage fee they received on this bad lease transaction; while they admitted this transaction did not go as planned, and that they have since terminated their professional association with the landlord, they refused to refund the brokerage fee. We strongly feel that Buck and Associates dealings with the landlord and keeping the brokerage fee that we paid is unethical and just plain not right. We feel obligated to share our experience to inform individuals considering working with Buck and Associates in the future.

He was very friendly and treated me like a member of his family. Teddy stated that he treats all of his listings as if they were a million-dollar property. We discussed what my listing price should be to attract the most buyers. He offered me suggestions and referred me to other services on how to get my place ready for sale. The professional pictures of my condo were outstanding and true to life. I had about 30 individual showings and about 25 groups of people come to the first day of my open-house!! My condo had 5 offers and initially sold for $5,000 above asking price AND in 6 DAYS!!! I am very thankful that Teddy was referred to me by a friend (this was my second attempt at selling my condo so I was skeptic about about it selling). I have already referred Teddy to my sister and he helped her buy her first home (she was competing against 9 other offers and Teddy helped her offer win)!
