I called and told them about it and waited for a call back that never came. The ABS light finally went off. So I guess it is ok. And most recently "wheel hub with bearing" replacement. I was charged $59.73 for "shop supplies" which was a total for ALL estimated repairs. I paid upfront for the parts which was $673.94 and then charged tax again on that amount and the balance. In total $1624.20 which by the way is a service that should have been tops $1200. The end result is they have lost my future business approximately $2000+ because of the petty overcharges. Make sure before you agree to the estimate you check prices. HORRIBLE price gouging.

Ed was a nice guy, and helped us examine the tire and explained what happened with the patch on the tire and if it was something the rental car company overlooked, or just bad luck on the highway (it was the latter). A related note, the silver lining to needing car maintenance is that this station also happens to be where Manuela's Malasadas cart is, so fresh, hot malasadas while you wait is a nice consolation.

It turned out a second starter had to be installed, and no thanks to this flimsy starter my flywheel was damaged. When I called to ask about getting it looked at in June I was told nothing was available for about two months so I found another mechanic who told me the starter was flimsy and the crank shaft part also was not worth the money I paid for it. I suggest you use OEM parts over aftermarket/third-party parts for repairs like this, which made me reconsider how the parts here were sourced. I am grateful to find a new mechanic and they caught these issues before I ended up paying $$$$ for new engine or fly wheel or both!

And, of course, our tire started losing air. We are two women who know absolutely nothing about tires, so we had no idea what was going on. We simply searched for the closest tire shop, saw that this place was only about six minutes away, and drove straight there. We didn't read reviews, we didn't call ahead, and we didn't have an appointment. We literally just showed up off the street with a flat tire. We mainly wanted to make sure there wasn't a nail, a puncture, or some other problem that could surprise us later while driving around the island. From the moment I got out of the car and explained the situation, we were treated with such kindness and professionalism. The gentleman who seemed to be running the place immediately took care of us, invited us to leave the car with him, and showed us to a very cozy little waiting area by his office. We barely had time to wait. Within about half an hour, he had found the nail in our tire, fixed the problem, and had us ready to go again. Everything was incredibly quick and easy -- and the amount we paid was almost unbelievably reasonable. What impressed me even more was watching him with other customers while we were there. People kept coming in with different problems, and he gave every single person his attention. He spoke to everyone kindly, made people feel welcome, and seemed to solve problems almost instantly. There was no stress, no attitude, no feeling that we were an inconvenience because we had simply appeared without an appointment. I honestly could not be happier with the service. Finding someone like this when you are far from home, on vacation, and suddenly have a problem with your car is priceless. This gentleman is truly a little gem of Maui.
