The Georgetown Antique Mall is a great place to window shop or spend an afternoon getting lost in…read moreweirdness. If you're an antiques collector, or looking for something very specific, it's possible you could find it here; but, for me, this is just a spot to look around. I spent some time exploring this shop one afternoon, and I came across many interesting things. Nothing I needed, but interesting nonetheless. This shop, like many other antique shops, houses loads of old items scattered across multiple floors. Whether you're looking for books, toys, clothing, luggage, accessories, home decor, dishes, furniture (you get it.. the list goes on and on..), you can likely find it here. Like most peddler's malls (or as they used to be called, flea markets), they're a large space in an old shopping center (where the local Sears used to be) that's been converted into a display space for many businesses different booths by local people selling various things. It's a big, motley mix of things. Vintage clothing. Furniture. Home decor. DVD's and old paperback books. Toys. Small appliances. Jams, jellies, and preserves made by the Amish or other local small businesses. It's definitely worth browsing around to see if they have anything you might like.

It's just Kohl's. I…read morenever had anything against Kohl's, but when there was an abundance of Kohl's mixed in with so many other department stores within a ten-mile radius, I generally overlooked it (I'm not from around here). It wasn't a store I regularly shopped at. Target was my love. Now? It's the only decent department store in town. Funny how things change. The selection is good -- stocked with clothes, home goods, bedding, shoes, and all the usual stuff. The pricing? Eek. I think I'm just so used to finding things from thrift stores and Walmart (meh) now. You're better off buying things on sale --- the prices will be good then and the quality far better than Walmart (duh). I did find a good pair of moccasins for $25 one day, though. Not bad at all. I'll be back occasionally to check things out but don't know much I'll actually be purchasing. Regardless, I'm happy to have Kohl's!

Laura and Vanessa, your robotic responses ignore the fact that nowhere in your listings or terms is it stated that bids cannot be canceled after the auction ends. Instead of addressing this issue with understanding, you've chosen to hide behind an uncommunicated 'policy,' which leaves customers like me stuck in unreasonable situations. It's clear that your focus is no longer on fostering goodwill or supporting communities, but instead on squeezing every penny from buyers, no matter the circumstance. If your policy is truly so rigid, you owe it to your customers to clearly state it in your listings. Goodwill's mission is supposed to be about supporting and uplifting people, not creating obstacles or fostering frustration. You should be ashamed of how poorly you're living up to that mission in your dealings with loyal shoppers. Do better.
