I'm originally from O'ahu and was excited to see Alohiwais sign when my sister and I were walking…read moredown the row of stores. We decided to go in to check it out since their sign still said open. Mind you, I always go to Ho'omau Market and always buy stuff from their booth back home on O'ahu. I also just wanted to say that I sometimes see the owners at Ho'omau and they're SO nice and so inviting, girls working there are also very nice. But this one girl today, omg. So there were two girls on 6/9/26 at a couple of minutes before 4. One of the two girls were okay, but the other... let me tell you. I picked something up to try on because I have had my eye on this style of dress online for the longest time and was excited to see it in person. I was going wait for them to come to O'ahu but thought since I'm on vacation, I thought maybe I wouldn't have to wait to get it. Alohiwai is actually one of the first stores I always choose being a VIP at Ho'omau. I was in the dressing room trying on the one dress I took in, LOVED it, decided I was going to make a last minute purchase, and was almost about to come out, when I hear the other girl of the two say, "hey.. so we close at 4 and it's 4:04. So you kinda need to wrap it up" I didn't say anything because I was actually taken aback. I didn't get to see what she looked like, but my sister did. This girl worker, btw, was wearing an off the shoulder white top with curly hair and has tattoos on her shoulders 6/9/26 @ 4:04pm (& yes, I know the exact time to the minute since this worker was in a rush to get home). This worker lacked SO much professional ediquette. In the moment, I was in shock to have been talked to that way from a brand I actually REALLY loved and wanted to go back inside the store, but thought writing a review would be better. (couldn't if I wanted to because they were 4 minutes past closing time) Overall, I'm disappointed and just thought that that first experience IN STORE was a sour one. I ended up not buying anything in store because I felt rushed with the store being closed for 4 minutes. The unprofessional worker was assisting another customer and was being so helpful and professional with her, so maybe she took out her frustrations of wanting to go home right at 4:00pm on the dot with me? Not sure. But I took my business down to all the other stores down the row with better customer service. This experience was so negative for me that I'm questioning taking my business for Ho'omau this weekend when I get back home to O'ahu. Always love shopping at their booth, but for sure NEVER coming back to their home location.

Even got to meet the mother who came into help today. If you have little ones (girls) they will feel right at home here too. Even possibly a princess with all the cute little purses and stuffed animal. If you in Hilo you should give this place a shot like we did 10 years ago. They even have a couch for those husband, boyfriend or friends that don't like to shop

This is probably the only boutique shop in Hilo. I came here last in December 2009 while visiting…read morehome for the holidays. My mom's friend owns this place. She's really sweet. I'm giving this place 2 stars... because although they have a good variety of styles and things from clothes, jewerly and bags that you can't find in Hilo... the prices are high! So high that you're probably getting ripped off! Maybe rent is high. The quality of my bracelet from here was horrible. They don't have alot of size small, many of the sizes are large. All the things I wanted was in size large. My mom spent $15 on a bracelet (that probably could be purchased at a regular chain department store for a couple bucks), it fell into peices & the stones fell off when I took it out of the bag to try it on at home. Blah! My mom spent over $40 on a plain stylish jacket, which you could also probably get for half the price at a department store, but I love it so it's okay. Also, not to mention $20 for a bracelet. Gorgeous, but probably worth half the price. The point is... the prices are high and maybe not worth what you get!? Meaning there's no bargin here. 1 star for fashion options in Hilo. Hilo needs places like these... when I lived in Hilo, I would save myself to shop when I travel... Hilo has no selection. 1 star for cute packaging and the fact that Hello Kitty items are sold here. Because my mom knows the owner and she's a sweetie... I hate to give such a low review but even my mom was disappointed when I told her my bracelet fell apart when I tried it on after purchasing it, I couldn't even enjoy it. Parking is free. If you're in the area or in Hilo and need something nice and fashionable to wear to dinner or a special event, stop by Divas and see what they have and if you're willing to fork up the cash for it... if you're size is available. My mom probably supports this store because she knows the owner and there's no other boutiques to shop at in town. As for me, I'm always down for shopping, but I rather save myself to shop on Oahu or on the mainland... or better yet, the INTERNET if you're stuck in Hilo!
