I would not recommend this motel, BLACK MOLD on the roof of the bathroom. The pool is filthy, graffiti all around the mirror and in the inside of the cabinets, spoiled old sandwich and icecream left inside the room's mini-refrigerator that smelled so bad it made me gag! The microwave was dirty and broken. The comforter on the bed was ripped, NO CABLE either and 50 CENTS FOR ICE. No amenities offered for the price of $90 on a weekday.

For the price range of this motel there are much better options in the city, that are more updated, and cleaner.

I recently captured a wedding here, and it is a premier choice for couples who want their wedding to feel elevated, modern, and distinct. What makes this venue so special for photography is the seamless blend of historic charm and high-end modern upgrades. The restoration is stunning--you get the soul of a historic property but with a polished, eclectic aesthetic that feels incredibly refreshing and fun to experience for your stay or guest experience. From the rich textures in the getting-ready room and bridal makeup suites, to the sun-soaked courtyard, their grand staircase for a private moment, along with their cocktail lounge, every corner is a curated backdrop that lends itself to a sophisticated and nostalgic environment. The event and venue team are true professionals who understand the flow of a high-end event, while balancing exceptional hospitality for wedding weekend stays. Their attention to detail allows the couple to remain present, which is essential for me to capture those raw, documentary moments and artistic, "in-between" shots during the wedding day. For engaged couples who view their wedding as a special investment, and want a venue that feels like a boutique editorial set that truly speaks for itself, The Richland is totally unmatched in Orange County. I'm already looking forward to my next wedding weekend here with another amazing couple!

That's not me being negative. I have stayed here three times and I've never found a room that I didn't get woken up. Parking is $39 a night. You can ballet for $49 a night.... Breakfast: $30. Of the three times of stayed here, twice my safe didn't work and had to be taken care of my maintenance once my shower didn't work and once my toilet seat had been painted, and the paint was peeling off. During my most recent day when you shut the door, it wouldn't lock you had to either pull on the handle when you were leaving or press really hard from the inside. Doesn't make you feel super safe. Look I get everybody has to work and make 11. But what I'm staying somewhere with the family I don't want to have to get into an elevator with a prostitute. That has happened here multiple times. That's not me being approved. That's not me being judgmental, I have been propositioned in the elevator twice in three stays. I only stay here because my company booked the room and I will not stay again.

For this stay, we did not bring the dogs but figured we'd just stay at ALO. We stayed in room 621 and yeah, the bathroom was small. If you're a pretty tall person, you'd definitely be head butting the shower head. They offer free breakfast. Eggs, bacon, cereal, toast, you know, the basic hotel free breakfast. The woman at the front desk with long red hair and long fingernails was far from welcoming and came across as harsh and snappy. As a first-time guest, it was an immediate turnoff. After getting through the uncomfortable check-in process, we headed to the bar for a glass of wine. The staff was already mopping the bar area since the restaurant closes at 9:00 p.m. We ordered two glasses of wine, which came to $29. Thankfully, the wine itself was enjoyable. The rooms are generously sized and nicely appointed. However, the linens had an odd smell, almost like inexpensive laundry detergent. Our room was located across from an electrical room, which created noticeable noise. The bathroom fan runs continuously, so we had to keep the bathroom door closed while sleeping. Based on the reviews, this property seemed promising, but I want to provide an honest account of my experience. One positive is that the windows open slightly, allowing for some fresh air. However, the air conditioning does not stay on consistently, which would make me hesitant to stay here during the summer months.

I liked that it was really easy (within walking distance) to get to Trader Joe's, many food options and the bus that goes straight to Disneyland. Check in and check out was relatively easy. They made me a bit nervous when they couldn't find my reservation while checking in and again when no one was at the desk to check me out, but I only waited a few minutes each time before things were sorted out. I don't think I've ever stayed in a place this run down; it definitely needs an upgrade. When I walked into my room, there was a pretty strong chemical odor. The decor is kind of haphazardly put together. The water pressure was pretty terrible, there were stains on the towels and sheets and there is a little gap in the doorframe, so you can hear eVerything that is happening outside. I explained the situation to the front desk and the manager working and they wouldn't refund or change the dates since it was day of, so I had to pay for 2 nights when nobody checked in and used the rooms plus two rooms at an even higher costs the night we actually checked in and used them. It was pretty frustrating and being a single teacher from Arizona-the worst paying teacher salaries in the nation-money is kind of tight and this trip was a treat and a birthday gift for my friend and her family. It ended up costing a lot more than I had planned, which definitely put a damper on things. But I didn't argue and paid the four room bills, although only 2 were used and not even a future voucher for two rooms was offered instead of a refund on the two unused rooms. Not very good customer service, and not a hotel I will ever use again after that experience.
