We ended up refinancing with a loan that required additional hoops for Bryan to jump through, and he was timely and thorough in all that was asked of him by the lender. Also, Bryan's initial estimate only veered when he uncovered some prior damage to the house and when we altered what we wanted, there were no surprises. The work he did was incredible. We went from a 3/1 with a tiny kitchen and no real dining space or laundry area (both were contained to the kitchen area), to a 3/2 with a massive (to us) master suite, a beautiful kitchen, a dining area, and a laundry room. In addition, he oversaw the work on new siding, new windows and flooring throughout. I'm so glad we used Bryan and have/would recommend him to anyone looking to do work on their house.

Ascension came out less than a month ago and they claimed the roof was fine and have refused to fix their mistake which is why I'm now here. If you want someone to do the job right the first time, go somewhere else.

This company has a lack of communication and writing things down. I had to remind them several times of specs we talked about and they stated they didn't remember. I had to come by my residence daily to ensure the job was staying on track, during this time several things had to be redone. While they were doing the construction they damaged one of my vent lines to the kitchen and placed duct tape on it (never told me). The paint first started pealing off the wall, the vanity was not placed in the correct place and the plumbing was not done to specs. The small amount of electrical work was way over price (this came later and was not on the estimate)!!! We had to purchase the faucet, toilet, sink and vanity, shower head and hand rails. Which were not included in the estimate. I would look for another contractor, unless you have time in your day to check on it daily. Would highly not recommend this company.

They were on my…read moreradar because they've helped my parents with at least two disastrous leaks in their home and did great work; they were reliable, got the job done, and even stuck to an original estimate when the project ended up costing significantly more than anticipated. So when our crawl space needed some work Jay with TriStar was one of the people I called to get an estimate from. Not only was he very responsive in coming out and giving an estimate, but his estimate was less than another well-known contractor I talked to. When I decided to wait for months before deciding to do the work, Jay was very professional about it and his original estimate still applied four months later. Once I hired him, the work went very smoothly. Jay is really easy to communicate with and he clearly communicated to me about what would be done and when, and stuck to it! The work was done well, on time and on budget. When there was a freak problem (a nail somehow got driven up from the crawl space through the hardwood floor in our living room), I texted Jay about it...he texted me back immediately and had someone at the house a couple days later to repair the issue, no questions asked. I can't even tell where the nail was now! I've heard horror stories about bad contractors who aren't reliable or responsible and are hard to get ahold of and communicate with...TriStar is the complete opposite of that. I'm so glad I chose them based on seeing their top notch work at my parents' home, because my experience was no different. I'd definitely recommend them.

I initially opted to wash my hands of this company and not leave a review but after finding out…read morefrom a friend they'd posted photos of our home on Facebook as examples of their work, I felt the need to chime in. The final paint job is not their work, it's mine, because his crew did a horrible job on it. Paint on the ceiling, all over the vanities in both the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. I repainted and repaired nearly every surface they touched because whatever compound they used to patch holes started peeling from the walls (although they hadn't sanded or properly patched to begin with...merely painted over leaving huge marks all over our walls. Some holes weren't even patched and some screws were left sticking out--see pics.) Not to mention the fact you neglected to install gaskets on every single water fixture--three new faucets and all three leaked. Two new tub fixtures and both moved and had to be repaired after you left without completing a final walkthrough. My dad found two of the three drain pipes for the sinks leaking in the vanities. In the upstairs bathroom they'd actually installed the wrong size gasket. And they weren't just a little off; it was twice the size it should have been but instead of going out to buy the correct size to do it right, they shoved it in and left it. A toilet your crew left marked up with a black, hardened mess, deep scratches on our closet doors, terrible install on our kitchen backsplash? Even the small refund you ultimately paid us doesn't account for the time and work and additional contractor we had to bring in to fix what you did. Brand new vanities weren't covered before they painted, paint left on our new tile because they didn't cover the floor or take care around the shower surrounds--very basic things that ANY contractor should do, they didn't. They actually left a couple of trim pieces simply propped up against the wall and never bothered to attach them! A few weeks later, I was washing dishes at my kitchen sink and heard water trickling in the ceiling above me. After calling my husband down and trying to figure out what was going on, he suggested I go upstairs into the second bathroom All Trades renovated and pour water into the overflow drain. Sure enough--there was a huge splashing sound in the ceiling above him. Lucky for Jim and All Trades, we discovered their improper install before it was too late and yet another leak caused major water damage. I do NOT recommend this company. I also suggest you consider removing the photos of our home from your social media accounts as they do not accurately reflect the quality of your work.

First - reading the review prior to mine - I couldn't be more shocked. Our remodel was just finishing up as their project was starting and I strongly believe some of what is said below is wildly fabricated. Josh was nothing short of a consummate professional on our job. Did everything go perfect? No - does it ever on a major home renovation project? But Josh made sure every single issue was taken care of. Including when an electrician royally screwed up our wiring. Josh lost a lot of time and money having it redone and didn't even try to up-charge me for the difference despite the lost time, materials and re-do of the job by a new electrician. Even months after the job was done - he has come back to fix minor issues that pop up (grout fixes, etc) and has never charged us one extra penny. I have recommended Hastings to several friends and neighbors - including a friend who has them doing a full second story addition on their house right now and is very happy and our neighbor who runs a major house flipping company (tv show) and he has hired them on to help him as well. We will be having Josh and the boys back soon to remodel a bathroom for us. If anyone wants pictures or more info feel free to reach out to me. Josh was very understanding of our problems, professional and thoughtful. He helped us finalize outstanding permits from the previous contractor - truly going above and beyond. I have owned my home for almost 2 years and have invested several thousand dollars trying to bring it into codes all the while being mocked and ridiculed by the builder because I was pointing out the flaws. From the electrician to the plumber to the painters and finishers they fell way short of what quality work is supposed to look and feel like. The only sub that got it right in my book is the HVAC contractor and he went out of his way to make sure my house was warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Shout out to Claud Heating and air conditioning. Everyone else involved in the build should have all their licenses revoked and be banned from ever being allowed to build much less sell another one of these houses. Good luck if you screwed up and bought a celebration home. The Carpet Den in Franklin,Tn. can't spell LVP much less lay it. The plumbing contractor wouldn't know how to lay a shower pan if he had a YouTube video to help and the electrician, oh my the electrician, I am betting they get electrocuted a lot on the job site. Timberland cabinets really needs classes on how to mount cabinets before they are allowed to quote another job seeing how I had to add blocking in because my cabinets were falling off the wall and they wanted to argue with me.
