2 pounds of crawfish.
Jennie H.

I just relocated to the Lake Charles area, so I'm not a crawfish expert, but I thought it was really tasty. Not sure if it was cooked with a little star anise, but I liked the flavor. I only wish you could get spicy crawfish. I really love the Asian style. Would definitely recommend.

My bro in law loves this spot.. everything was good and the seasoning was amazing. It has a nice spiciness and you keep eating them. He will definitely be back cus i am just visiting.

Drive thru crawfish

Great drive thru crawfish shack. Sourced from their own family farm, the quality/size of their crawfish are some of the best you'll find. They're also cleaner than most. Conveniently located, just pull up and order at the window. Drive around and pick up your bag of steaming hot crawfish! They sell different dipping sauces but their crawfish are seasoned well you don't even need sauce. People are friendly, good prices. Only wish they opened earlier than 4:00p.

10lb! Always get the 10+lbs!

My sister lives in Lake Charles and this is the only place she buys them. We picked up 10 lbs for Easter and they were delicious! They were the cleanest I've ever eaten and well sized! Super juicy with all the bits and claws. Their farm is truly well taken care of. The day we got it, it was a bit on the salty and spicy side, but it's good for crawfish. Maybe it was the holidays? Most days, seasoning's dialed back and we like it more that way. Good for health? Haha! Means we can live longer to eat more mudbugs! :P

This was my batch, about 2 lbs. In this picture. They were so good, and I'm picky about who's got good crawfish

Cash only (which is fine) but I asked for extra spicy and got ZERO seasoning. If you like em plain and mild - this is your stop.

The best. Select crawfish farm raised by them. The only ones I prefer to order from and dine at home with. So consistent every time.

Always in point. With the price of crawfish we don't waste our money trying any other place bc we know these will be perfect every time.

My crawfish poboy was okay. And I say that because I wasn't expecting a full potato slice so it was extremely hard and messy to eat lol. Overall I would definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Pretty easy to get to when traveling east on I-10. We found easy parking, Buffi's is at the corner of Broad & Bilbo Street. Great vibes right from the get go. There's a pretty mural on the side of the building, great photo op for those that are doing it for the 'Gram. The interior is cutely decorated, black and white checkered table cloths. It's self service at the counter. After looking over the menu, we decided on a small bowl of Shrimp & Corn Chowder along with a full size All American Peauxboy. I'm not a corn guy but my wife said the chowder was delicious. The Peauxboy was fantastic. If you would have told me the bread was baked an hour before I ate the sandwich, I would have believed you. It was so fresh & so delicious! We might have a new stop for our roadtrips when headed east. It was a great first meal on our weekend getaway.

They also had Fresh Made Pork Rinds, no worries one day I'm leaving the pork alone I decided to get the bag of Fresh Pork Rinds. They had frozen meats to go and gumbo to go. We did not grab meat because we still have a whole before we head home, they do have you a frozen bag on sale right next to the freezer and Fridge for your convenience. You should definitely stop by while visiting Louisiana! The Service was quick and easy and the Ambience was casual and comfortable with outdoor seating. Since meeting my boyfriend, I've heard nonstop about In-Laws. From day one--right after I mentioned…read moreI went to college in New Orleans--he's been hyping this place up. So after performing at New Orleans Jazz Fest this past weekend, we finally made a stop to see if it lived up to the praise. Pulling up, it honestly looks like a simple gas station pit stop--the kind of place truck drivers frequent (and judging by the steady flow of trucks, that checks out). But stepping inside was a completely different experience. It was clean, open, and surprisingly welcoming. Before even ordering, we found ourselves in the frozen section grabbing items to take home--boudin, deer sausage, gumbo... you name it, they had it stocked and ready. It already felt like one of those hidden gems you're glad someone put you on to. Then came the food. My boyfriend has been talking about their fried ribs for over a year, so of course we had to order them. He also got chicken wings, while I kept it light with Cajun boudin balls and green beans. First bite of the boudin ball? I was pleasantly surprised. Flavorful, slightly doughy, but still really good. But let's get to the star of the show... The fried ribs. As someone who's lived in Texas for over 20 years, I had never even heard of fried ribs. But baby... these were it. Perfectly seasoned all the way through, incredibly tender, and honestly--you could barely even tell they were fried. Just juicy, flavorful, and done right. This review is really just to say: fried ribs are real... and In-Laws does them right. If you're ever driving between Texas and Louisiana--somewhere around Lake Charles or Lafayette--do yourself a favor and stop here. 10/10. Highly recommend.

There's gulf fresh shrimp within 5 minutes of the location. I ate the crawfish Étouffée, It had somewhat of a fishy flavor. You could tell the crawfish were bagged and not fresh. My fries were warm only. I asked where the fish came from, most places advertise catfish now and give you Swai. I wasn't willing to take the chance. Our waitress said it could be a while before she could answer that question. The shrimp order were soft, not firm. You could tell they were cooked in the crawfish boil, and were gritty. We ordered a burger that was mediocre at best. Crawfish order was fine. There are plenty of places around serving fresh local seafood to be eating food sent from Argentina. The corn and potatoes were also not spicy. The boudin balls were very large and those were good.
