Our paths finally crossed and I decided to pick the team up some snacks to close out the week. Damn -- these things were dangerously good (had to put them on a colleague's desk otherwise I probably would have ate them all). Went with "Apple Pie" (essentially an apple cider donut with fresh apple pie filling drizzled on top), "Pumpkin Spice" (it is the season of the pumpkin after all), and some chocolate one (name escapes me, but was a standard donut with chocolate glaze on top). "Apple Pie" was the clear crowd favorite followed by chocolate. Consensus on the pumpkin spice was that there was not enough flavor -- it kind of just tasted like a glazed donut. Wait is long but well worth it. They make these things to order and there is no genuine substitute for a warm donut fresh from the fryer. A suggestion: consider giving at least a minor discount to customers buying a 1/2 dozen or more. At $2.50 a pop, these ain't cheap. I just knew they were going to be hot a fresh. when they handed me the box I could feel the heat coming through. when I bit into the warm donut it was so soft and had the perfect amount of melted chocolate glaze coating the top so I got chocolate in every single bite. Even reheated in the toaster oven, it gets back that crisp that oily donuts never have after a couple days. The fact that the consistency stays the same after that long means they're that great. I got a half dozen, my main concern is their pricing. Seeing their previous menu's and the website, they've clearly made a price increase by $6 for a dozen which is absurd unless it was made with extraordinary toppings like Datz Doughnuts.
