I started this process with Mitch Ohlbaum last may of 2014 .. its now jan 2015 and i do not have a refinanced loan . I cannot state how many times I communicated to them and begged for a status report or documentation ,they don't return calls or emails they are totally inaccessible and will lie up and down to make up stories and excuses for each other . AT first I though it was really the current re-fi system but then i read the review below from someone that had the same experience as I and i knew this was their policy . When they asked for new documents i supplied it , because they procrastinated so much the docs would expire ..., I was told several times it was a done deal and awaiting closure ...But their lack of follow thru either made the deal fall through or was total BS. He even deleted some numbers on a tax return which i know realize was totally unscrupulous . Finally he came thru with loan that was 140k less than my loan amount . promising to get an equity loan to cover the balance ,, but no further communication after that For months . I am an excellent borrower with great credit and lots and liquid funds and equity ,,, this was totally a lack of follow through and dishonest practice , since today i find out that much of what i was told was not true , and after 8 months of delay I was passed on to the owner , After speaking with the owner of the company , who oddly operates under a different company name, .He appligozed and promised an answer in 48 hours 3 weeks later i was turned down due to some "guide lines" of "their lenders . Wether i qualified or not theres no Reason for someone to treat their clients or anyone this way and be so unprofessional ... to waste everyones time that way .It is now 9 months later and I'm starting all over again with ease at Wells fargo ... Quite simply If they could not help me they should have said so early on. Stay far away from these people I think the only positive reviews on here sound fake and were probably set up by them ,,, They are bad news especially the very slippery Mitch Ohlbaum of Macoy capitol .

Alan is a Godsend! I…read moream a first time home buyer and unfortunately made the mistake of trusting the first mortgage agent that sounded confident and friendly. I initially applied through the chariot bank because they were the home seller's preferred lender. The agent sounded smart and attentive on the phone so I trusted him. Unfortunately he made a tiny mistake, resulting in me running around each day obtaining documentation after documentation and still ended up with the denial of my loan and the loss of $900 application fee. I did not know this at the time, but apparently this bank is well-known for its irresponsible pre-approvals and haphazardly dragging out the loan application process. One would think they'd show their customers more respect after a major scandal and a public apology campaign. Just when I was about to give up this home-buying mess, my realtor introduced me to a friend who was Alan's client. Alan was extremely responsive with phone calls, emails, and texts. He paid close attention to detail and is always one step ahead of you. He picked up the mess and got my loan approved in 7 days, 3 days before I lose my earnest money deposit! I cannot thank him enough for making my home purchase happen! I work on multi billion dollar construction projects, so I'm suspicious of everyone, but Craig and his team earned my trust and confidence in a very short period of time. When I finally called Craig, I was just over 3 weeks into the loan process with the same bank that manages all of my investments, as well as my banking. I even have a mortgage with them on another proerty!! Given all of that, I would have thought that the Mortgage Broker assigned to me would give me great service, and would deliver on assurances I had recieved that they could close within the 6 week schedule we laid out. In fact, I never even got an email, call or sms from the Mortgage Broker himself until I told my Investment Advisor that I was pulling the application. Even though I sent several emails to him directly, I only ever heard from his Loan Processor or my Investment Advisor. Craig and his team at CB Loans were exactly the opposite. They gave me multiple avenues for getting my documents to them securely and quickly. They worked around my hours and and when I could talk. They told me exacatly what documents they needed to get my loan approved, and didn't waste my time with things they didn't need. They made sure they understood my wishes as well as my concerns. And Craig took the time to make sure I was comfortable with my understanding of the details of the process (I moved here from out of state, and it's quite different here). He also got me comfortable with how we would get to the best rate, and worked with me closely on exactly when we ought to lock in the rate so that we got what I think was the best possible rate we could have gotten at the time.
