Crave has been around a while but I've never been in. Went with family to celebrate a birthday and had an enjoyable time. The space is cozy - lots of cool furniture and book shelves and mood lighting in the back area - much more elegant than when the space was The Dirty South. The drinks were creative and mine was delicious. The molten lava cake was molten, as promised. The service was friendly, but not as attentive as it could have been. Overall, it's a cool spot to grab a drink and soothe that sweet tooth.
Must try! If you like espresso martinis then you'll love these. Very smooth. The bartenders were personable and were giving tips on what to do around the town. Also tried the spinach and artichoke dip which was very good as well. I also shared the Chocolate Cocaine drink, which was very good and chocolatey. FYI : they do offer hookah inside so if you don't want that smell then might be best to dine outside.
This spot exceeded our expectations for dinner! We were seated quickly at one of the couch areas and immediately noticed how cute and fun the theming around us was. The server was friendly and attentive. We got cocktails and I came for the espresso martinis! I got the Banana Bread Espresso Martini and the S'mores drink, I can't even pick a favorite they were both that good. We ordered a bunch of food - the crispy rice ahi tuna was my favorite. The balsamic brussel sprouts could have used more dressing or something else on them, they tasted just like normal Brussels sprouts. My friends all enjoyed their drinks, especially the key lime pie margarita. When we got our bill there was a 20% service charge even though we were a party of 4, we asked the server and she said it was because our table ordered more than $200. That was fine with us because we always tip 20% anyway, but it was certainly confusing since that is not listed anywhere we could find on the menu or website. Overall, great experience and I would highly recommend this location!!
Absolutely loved this place, great option in downtown Asheville for yummy desserts and cocktails! The service was excellent, our waitress was so kind and accommodating. The ambiance is very fun yet relaxing at the same time. I got the delicious double strawberry shortcake (10/10) and my husband got the crème brûlée (also 10/10). The desserts were very flavorful and light which I enjoyed. I got the s'more often cocktail and it tasted like a literal marshmallow melted in a glass, so yummy. My husband got the chocolate old fashioned and he said it's one of the best he's ever had. Overall we had a great experience and will be back next time we visit Asheville! My only complaint is it's on the pricier side but hey if you want to treat yourself, this is the way to do it.

From the very first bite, it was clear this wasn't your average slice--it was pure indulgence on a plate. The cheesecake itself was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced--not overly sweet, with just the right amount of tang. The crumble topping was buttery and packed with pecan goodness, offering a satisfying crunch that paired beautifully with the silky filling. What really set this dessert apart, though, was the subtle infusion of bourbon--it added a warm, smooth depth of flavor that tied everything together perfectly without overpowering the dish. The plate was beautifully presented, with candied pecans, caramel drizzle, edible flowers, and what looked like gourmet caramel popcorn adding fun texture and flavor. Paired with a glass of bourbon on the rocks, it made for a memorable finish to an already great meal.
First - ambiance is 10/10! I love the decor, furniture and the music was really nice. Even though they sell hookah, the place does not have the smell lurking. Our service was pretty good considering we had a rowdy bunch of 8 people right at opening on a Saturday. Food was about a 7.5 out of 10 for me. We got the following: Cauliflower wings, elote dip, spinach dip and lamb lollipops. I will probably never get the lamb again. Very gamey and didn't have a flavor to me at all. Elote dip was as expected and spinach dip was yummy! Cauliflower wings was the best app to me! So good!!! I also had a zero proof hibiscus bellini - 10/10! I also enjoyed my bugs bunny (carrot cake) and red velvet cupcakes! Chocolate was soooo rich! Everyone else enjoyed their drinks - key lime pie, tequila mockingbird, sincerely crave and thicker than a snicker.
Crave Dessert Bar is a fabulous place and you know why? Great drinks, fun atmosphere, and bartenders with sharp eyes and a caring disposition. My friend insisted that we come here because she had dined here not too long before and was on a bad date. The bartender helped her out, so my friend wanted to return. Upon entering the same bartender, who was there on the night in question, was there and immediately recognized my friend and enthusiastically greeted her. As she mixed cocktails she told us her perspective of the night in question which made me grateful for the bartenders that watch our backs. I enjoyed the ambiance. I thought it was a relaxed vibe and very busy. We came later in the night, sat at the bar so that went by faster. People waiting for tables had to wait for awhile. We were solely there for cocktails so I can't tell you how the food was. This is a type of bar had I gone here in my 20's when I could have stomached endless sweet drinks I would have left broke. Crave has the best dessert cocktails I have ever had anywhere. Typically dessert cocktails are limited to coffee twists, like an Irish coffee, or chocolate ones like a chocolate martini, or lastly the usual combination the chocolate espresso martini. It is rare to see one that doesn't fall into these categories but Crave has several. I started with the Key Lime Pie because that is the cocktail that I see the most of so it is a good baseline tho it is still rare. Dear lord was it delicious. Frothy, light, tasting just like a key lime pie and too easy to drink. I moved onto the s'more often which was delectable - rich, marshmallow taste. It was exactly as described. Then I stopped because I don't have the stomach anymore to keep up with such levels of sweetness but I will come again! The next time my travels take me to Asheville I will continue my exploration of their cocktail menu. What a lovely treat that Asheville has!
Winding down (or kicking back up) an evening at this dessert lounge is a great experience for anyone who enjoys savory bites, decadent desserts and sweets, and unbelievable cocktails that range from the usual, to the unique, to the wildly uncanny. This place is also pet and kid friendly with the choices they have on the menu. The outdoor patio on the front is a perfect spot, sitting in the heart of a bustling downtown. Eat, drink, people watch from this outdoor space that has a large fire pit in the middle adding to the ambiance. Savory food that ranges from hummus and dips, to lamb lollipops, empanadas and cauliflower wings. We enjoyed both the empanadas and cauliflower wings. Perfect for sharing. The dessert menu has anything you can imagine, and even more that you cannot. Churro fondue...yep! Hot Italian donuts, cakes, cupcakes, pies, cookies...you name it, they have it. The molten chocolate lava cake was delicious. And if you're in the mood for cocktails, this is your spot. Traditional cocktails and uniquely sweet cocktails that rattle your imagination. My wife had the "S'more Often" sippable dessert, which was decadent and delicious. Caramel vodka, both white and dark crème de cacao and marshmallow syrup. Add on top a roasted marshmallow while sitting outside by the fire pit made for a memorable experience.
Dessert bar + vegan are usually not found in the same sentence. I finally popped into Crave, and was pleasantly surprised. A cool, fancy bar area? check. Kind servers? check. A fricken HOOKAH LOUNGE? check. VEGAN DESSERTS? check check check. Crave is a super cool spot that I am looking forward to going to again. Please Crave, make a vegan sippable dessert. I am begging!
After dinner up town the people eating next to us recommended desert at "Crave Desert Bar" so we went!! Goodness gracious it was INCREDIBLE. The restaurant/dessert bar has incredible ambience. It's absolutely lovely inside. The first part is the hookah area, but if you don't want to be in there, which we didn't they have a lovely serving area just up a few steps and even a dining room further back. The menu and the dessert samplings were also no disappointment. My ricotta donuts melted in my mouth and the blackberry sauce made by the chef as well as vanilla dip were out of this world. There were five very large ricotta donuts and NO, there weren't any left. My companion's fresh baked skillet cookie made me drool. The cookie was thick and soft with a scoop of vegan coconut ice cream on the very top and it was cute as could be ! You've gotta try it!! If you're taking someone out to dinner this is very impressive. The service was just great the ambience fantastic and the desserts as good as any I've tasted. I really, really recommend this place. If you're going for a full dinner or just dessert or even coffee and a hookah.

They exceeded our expectations! From the moment we sat down, Celestial took great care of us and was super attentive without hovering and gave some really good recommendations that we're glad we followed. We started with drinks. My husband ordered the blueberry wheat beer and it was incredibly smooth. You could actually taste the blueberry without it being overpowering, which I loved (and I'm not even a beer drinker) For food, we kicked things off with the spinach and artichoke dip (always a good test) and it did not disappoint. Then we had the smoked Gouda bacon jam sliders. The flavors were perfect. The crab rangoons were next and honestly tasted super fresh, unlike any rangoon we've had before. We also ordered the sirloin empanadas and those were another hit. I wish I could eat all those items everyday because of how good they were For dessert, we wanted to try a bunch. The dessert servings are definitely shareable between 2+ people depending what you order. The princess buttercup cake was the perfect balance of rich cake with light, fluffy buttercream. Not overly sweet, just right. We also got the cookies & milk to go with the chocolate raspberry torte and wow!! The torte was light, layered nicely and had fresh raspberries in between. It wasn't heavy at all which is what you'd expect from a rich cake. Literally zero complaints. Everything from the service to the drinks to every single dish checked all the boxes. It's honestly one of the best restaurant experiences we've had in a while. We'll absolutely be back when we visit Asheville again! read more
Are you kidding me with this place? Be so for real! Heaven on earth, I'll tell you that! I'm not a drinker, but my husband is so to find a place where we could both get what we want is awesome! The ambience was so cool! The vibes were spot on. We were tucked away in a corner booth and could have stayed there for hours! Our server, Madi, was the sweetest! She talked us through the menu and gave wonderful suggestions! I ordered the Oreo cheesecake and the baklava beignets because I couldn't pick between the two. There was a tiny mess up in the kitchen with some dropped beignets so we were served the cheesecake first. At the time I was like "this is the best thing ever!" But the beignets said "hold my beer". As soon as those puppies hit the table, I was given the best bite of food I have ever eaten! They were crispy, fluffy, nutty, and sweet! The whipped honey was the icing on the cake... err... beignet. Seriously, I don't care what you get as long as you get these. All I gotta say, Nashville needs a Crave... hint hint. We will certainly be back! read more

The outside and inside of this place are beautiful. The outside is full of flowers and a fire pit and the inside is like a speakeasy, super cool. Ravyn, who was a supervisor, took care of us, and she was great. We got the blue crap dip appetizer which was wild-caught crab, cream cheese, naan, and it was absolutely incredible. The naan was warm and freshly baked, I'm still dreaming of it. I LOVE chocolate mousse so I ordered the double mousse cake which was sponge cake, chambord syrup, raspberry mousse, prosecco mousse, raspberry coulis, white chocolate. It sounded amazing, but it just kind of fell flat for me. I only had a few bites, and that is NOT like me with dessert. I also just got a plain Prosecco to drink. My friend got one of the fancy dessert drinks, which she loved. The only thing besides the dessert I didn't like was that while we were seated outside, this table next to us was chain-smoking cigarettes. It made the experience not pleasant. I didn't know people were allowed to smoke at restaurants, albeit outside. Next time I will skip the mousse and also sit inside. read more

I wish I had a cool spot like this near my home. We popped in here for a quick dessert. I had some type of brown sugar cake with this super dense ice cream and gold flakes. It was perfect. Not overly sweet, deep delicious flavor, and the dense ice cream made a great compliment. We weren't having drinks, but I would have tried the cocktails. The place has a neat victorian goth modern vibe and all of the staff appeared to be beautiful people. Like actually good looking. The guys, the girls, all of them. The ladies dressed with an eccentric, sexy, gothic flair too. Fun place! Great dessert! read more

Came just for the dessert and I was so pleased. Chocolate with strawberries, so good. Coffee was perfect, service was good. The restaurant inside was remarkable! We sat outside to enjoy the weather and went inside to find the restroom. The decor inside was so fun and fancy! We should have dined inside just for the fun of it. I'm not a hookah smoker so we came here for dessert. The place has a great vibe and chill type decor. Very trendy. Service was good. The desserts however were kinda blah. We had the skillet cookie and the apple something, can't recall the name. Sadly both weren't really good. The taste was just blah and they both had an odd texture to them. Incredible evening at Crave!! Stopped in for dessert and an after dinner drink and we were blown away by the service and the quality of the food!! Our server and bartender, Celestial, not only crafted a perfect Old Fashioned and Pistachio Espresso Martini, but her recommendations for dessert were on point!! Chic, muted interior. Don't be put off when asked if yo want the Hookah Bar, the deserts are excellent; we had the cupcakes and dipped strawberries. There is a full bar with an array of after dinner options. Service was polite and speedy. read more

This is a fun, Vegas style restaurant, with an extensive menu! it says it's a dessert bar, but they have a lot of savory food that is delicious as well! The service was amazing, and I love the entire vibe! We shared a hummus plate that had the best, homemade hummus, and a slice of delectable, double strawberry shortcake!! We will definitely be back when we are in the area again!(They also have a hookah lounge in the back for people who like that, but I would have never known that if the hostess had not mentioned it.) We were very casual, because it was the middle of the afternoon, but it's definitely a fun place to dress up and go to as well! read more
Stopped in for a quick bite after being out for several Hours. We sat outside which has nice seating. The inside decor is really cozy. We had the Marguerite flat bread to start. Such a great concept, we had a great time. The couches are comfortable and our waitress was helpful! The kitchen "closes" at midnight except for one page of the desserts they continue to serve. Our waitress let us order whatever on the menu even though it was 11:55pm, so we really appreciate that. The princess buttercup cake was SO amazing. It was rich but not toooo rich. My friend liked the tiramisu but didn't love it. And the spinach dip was great for balancing our sweet tooth. We devoured that and could have licked the pan. read more

Indulge yourself as this place will forever be ingrained into my taste buds as they crave the decadent dessert that will make anyone salivate. The spinach dip was a notch above the standard with a creamy cheese base and a delicate spinach ratio. The winner of the show was the peanut butter cake and the Oreo cheesecake as it did things to my body that cannot be appropriately described on Yelp. The sugar rush was immaculate but not an overwhelming amount of sweetness. The bar had a full host of cocktails with each drink being meticulously made with the utmost detail. The playlist was golden and felt like a soft Atlanta nightclub with only the biggest bangers playing through the speakers. This place will always be a bucket list place for me. read more
Stopped in for a pre dinner drink and snack since we had reservations for a late dinner. We had the crab cakes, crab rangoon, and Ginny on the block drink. The crab cakes were very tasty. We did have ask for more sauce. Crab rangoon were some of the best I've ever had, both sauces were delicious. The drink looked amazing as well. We sat on the patio. They do have a fire pit. A nice pleasant restaurant. We did not have dessert. Some of the surrounding tables did however and they did look delicious. read more

This place is super cute. The craft cocktails they offer are well made and they do not skimp on the liquor in the drinks. The tiramisu was delicious. We tried the flatbread and did not enjoy it. This is a Dessert bar so it's understandable and not surprising. The ambiance makes this easily one of our favorite spots we've ever visited. We wish we could transport this place with us to NYC. Between the decor, the offerings, the price point, and the hookah, they would stay PACKED in NYC. (Dear Crave, please consider opening a location here lol) read more
When we go down town later in the evenings, we always make it a point to stop here. They get busy fast, for good reason. Both the food and the drinks are stellar; particularly the beef sliders. Omgg they're so good. Initially I saw the sign on the sidewalk that said "boozy cupcakes!" (Or something) and decided I needed to check it out. After ordering so much food, so many drinks, cupcakes, and eventually hookah(!), we were plenty pleased everything. The staff do seem to get overwhelmed by the amount if people they're taking care of, so be patient if your service is slower than expected. Also, the lady's restroom has tampons in it, which I find thoughtful and sweet on their part. Wish more places did that!
