I took a chance on ordering a boba drink at a cafe. Yeah, it was basically a smoothie. And the boba was awful. Hard. Maybe the food is great, but based on other reviews. not overall. I would not recommend or return.

Tuna Panini

I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but after this visit, I felt it was necessary. The food was extremely bland which was disappointing because a sandwich should be full of flavor. I was surprised by how much the quality has declined, as this restaurant used to be much better. The customer service was also lacking. When I tried to ask a question, I was ignored... which added to the overall poor experience. I would not recommend dining here anymore. There are many other family owned restaurants in the area that offer better quality food and much better service. :/ (picture for proof)

Chicken tostada salad

Meeting friends for lunch at Crave. 1 PM on a Friday - no problem getting parking (on the north end of the Fallbrook Mall) and no problem getting a table. You order at the counter and they bring the food out when it is ready. I ordered the chicken tostada salad ($18). A decent sized portion loaded with chicken, guac, sour cream, and lots and lots of beans. Tasty and very filling. A bit pricey for a fast food restaurant salad. One of my buddies got a different chicken salad. The chicken was dried out and barely edible. Another got the waffles. Also described as meh. Same for the hamburger. Based on my dish alone, I would have gone with 4 stars. But each of friends really didn't care for the food and we won't be going back. Hence the 3 stars rating.

First time at Crave Cafe in West Hills. I really liked the outside patio which is covered. The inside is like a combination of industrial, rustic, garage type of decor with the garage glass panels. We ordered the 1/2 lb. chicken burrito (came with potato chips) $16.50. Order at the counter. Free refills fountain drinks. Received good customer service even though the young guy seemed to be new, which is great! Overall, it was good.

Feeling Basic Acai Bowl

Came into restaurant around closing time. This was my first time in this restaurant and first experience was below average :( I ordered an Açaí bowl and I had to check on my order since it was taking longer than 15 mins. They gave me a bowl which reminded me of a soup lol was not representative of a traditional açaí bowl I've had at other places. The panini came out faster and it was good. Overall, I will come back to try other menu items and give this place a second try. Good vibes inside.

Beef shawarma with fries! The white sauce is . Shout out to the owner and staff, great music, good atmosphere. Definitely a must return!

Nutella Strawberry Nutella Crepe

Really nice, big, and pretty place. We came during a dead time too which was peaceful. The crepe was ok. Kinda pricey for very little Nutella on a Nutella and strawberry crepe. And whipped cream was $1 extra so the crepe itself was around $17 with tax. I work at a place that sells crepes so I just naturally have to compare lol. It was an ok crepe

I've been to Crave Cafe a few times. It's a nice place with a good vibe, and the service is friendly, but at the end of the day it's a restaurant and the food should stand out. I tried the Mediterranean salad and later their house salad with apples, and honestly, it just felt like something I could easily make at home. Nothing really special about it. I also got a slice of the raspberry cake -- it was okay, but nothing more. Overall, it was fine, but not enough for me to want to come back.

Had the Thai Tea Boba It was good

Such a great place with great food! Was there for lunch on 9/15 and I had never been there before. First off, it's quite nice inside. Modern, clean and just a nice vibe. Has an outdoor patio to eat at when the weather is nice. I had the Garlic Aioli Burger. You can choose what type of cheese you want and they have a nice variety to choose from. I went with Feta. Great flavor with a nice Brioche Bun. You can choose your side and I went with fries, which were so good. Nice and crispy. Food overall was just really good. Definitely recommend! Can't wait to go back!!

Plenty of available seating on a Saturday afternoon. Cute large outdoor patio aswell. We ordered at the counter and didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks to come out. Our sandwiches and drinks were great. My one complaint is that my panini wasn't warm, but luckily the fries were super hot. Would definitely come back again, as they have a very large menu for whatever mood you're in.

Workers here mostly lazy and dont have good customer service. The food is Average and so is the drinks.

The matcha is a powder that has added sugar vanilla something It was too sweet The powder is not dark green, when they make it it's light color I asked them add a little extra so it's darker. If you like sweet try it. Not my cup of tea Quick reviews just for you

(and this guy knows french toast) The weather was a little windy for eating out on the patio, so we opted to eat inside this morning. It was a little noisy, but I didn't have to shout across the table to carry on a conversation. Leaving a busy restaurant without a headache is a big + for me. Valet is only eight dollars but usually a street meter spot opens up every couple minutes. The house potatoes are amazingly light and flavorful, the breakfast burrito was the perfect size to not feel too full, and the crème brûlée waffles were a delightful light sweet treat. Sat on the side patio and it was quite nice getting the breeze and some natural light.

Al-Ha-Esh is an Israeli eatery in West Hills, that only recently popped up on my culinary radar. I…read morehad to go. The place is small but vibrant with orange color everywhere, including the seats. The background Israeli music is soft and the vocals are brilliant. You feel lke dancing. The aroma is that of Kababs, falafel and more. Yes, if you closed your eyes, forgot that you are in the valley, you may actually be in a small cafe, in Jerusalem. I came here for a carry out lunch (like I always). What attracted me about the menu was that it was small. Ne way to look at it is, that they have mastered all those items on the menu. My interest though lay mainly on one item, the Pargiot skewer. Essentially, an Israeli baby chicken, where the boneless skinless chicken thighs are marinated in herbs and grilled for succulence and taste. A first for me. I ordered one skewer a la carte ($11). It lived up to its reputation. Not only flavorful, but with a different satisfying chicken bite and texture. If anything, it was slightly over cooked. You have to get falafel when you are at an Israeli place. Here each costs $0.75 and I added six of them to the order and requested extra tahini. While you can get falafel in most middle eastern restaurants, they are never the same. This one seems to have hit the mark in a unique way. The stuffing had more greenery, hence accentuating the fragrance, mouthfeel and taste. One of the best, if not the best. Tahini was also superb, with the right amount of viscosity and flow. Service was exceptional.

The family that own this place are super nice and treat you like you're coming into their home to eat. They pack on so much food in your order that it's just awesome. My favorite things to order are the beef kebab patties, fries, falafel, fried cauliflower, hummus and ALL of their veggies sides. Their pita is so puffy and delicious too. My husband enjoys coming in on Tuesdays and Thursdays when they have beef shawarma. It's not to be missed. Also, their prices are actually a tad bit lower than the other Israeli places in town for the amount of food they give you which is great. There is ample seating inside and i feel like if you eat there they offer even more food. Our family always walks out with leftovers and happy, full tummies. Thank you for coming into the neighborhood, Al-Ha-Esh! We *heart* you.
