I ordered a chorizo burrito with hit salsa and the works. well sweet mother have mercy it must have been 3 lbs. My girlfriend ordered a mexican salad and it filled her up. We both have left overs. This funky little ma and pa shop in small town alberta was awesome!!! We had a great 15 minute conversation with the owners about the current corvid-19 and how its hurting business. Our bill came to 32$, that included a mammoth burrito the I couldn't finish a salad the my partner couldnt finish and 2 mexican sodas. We were not disappointed and if we are in the neighborhood again we will be back. Love supporting a local business!

Not that there's anything wrong with Tofield, I just haven't had a reason to visit before now. The cafe is in the centre of the town rather than off of the highway. We each had the daily special which was a fried chicken folded wrap plus cream of cauliflower soup. The soup was excellent. The wrap was delicious as well although probably larger than we needed. We chatted with the owner as he was very friendly and interesting. The ambiance is casual and comfortable. They are licensed to sell alcohol as well as the food and coffee. The establishment is much larger than it looks as there is another section in the back that is not readily apparent when you first walk in. Talk to the owner about motorcycles and you'll make a friend. I'm sure that we'll be back. After all, Tofield is only 45 minutes from Edmonton.

I absolutely love family owned restaurants. We stopped by here on a Saturday after visiting the…read morecorn maze. The place appeared busy. There were only two lovely ladies working all the people, buzzing back and forth. Unfortunately that led to us waiting a really long time for anyone to take our orders, our food came before our drinks did. The menu there is extremely large so there's something there for everyone. Even a separate kids menu. The food I have to give 3 stars. It was very mediocre. I had the beef dip, the beef was very dry unless you dipped it in the au jus sauce. The soup they said was minestrone but more looked like a bunch of left over thrown in a brown sauce with some frozen vegetables. The fries were dry. It got a little chaotic we were missing napkins, spoon, soup, then we had 3 people including the cook? Tending to our table. The place could use a renovation and some cleaning, lots of flies hovering around us. Bathrooms could use a cleaning. Overall, they just need more staffing.

It is a great place for families, friends or a date. The menu has a large variety ranging from appetizers, soups and salad, burgers and sandwiches, pasta, steak and pizza. The prices are reasonable and the portions are a nice size. They also offer a "special of the day". One friend ordered perogies to start, she had a choice or either fried or boiled. She chose boiled and they came with fried onions and bacon and sour cream on the side. A few of us had the baked lasagne, the large is $3 more so the dish was a bit larger but not sure if it was worth $3 more. It tasted delicious although we suspect they might have put nutmeg or some similar spice in the sauce. The poutine had lots of gravy and cheese. The nachos makes you drool, it smelled and looked so good. The cheese was just the right amount and was layered between the tortilla chips. The vegetarian pizza was a thicker crust with freshly sliced tomatoes on top. The waitress was friendly as was the cook. I found our food took a while but we were a large group and it seemed like there were also a few customers in the lounge. I guess you can't expect fast service as there are limited restaurants in the area.

I recently stopped in for some dinner with my mother (1 week ago) and for noon, it was pleasantly packed. We were swiftly seated and got drinks. My mom and I got Italian loaves (if you haven't tried them DO IT) and my husband had the fettuccine alfredo. The portion sizes are huge!! You almost get a whole loaf of bread with your sandwich! The caesar salad is to. die. for. So much garlic in the sauce and it is glorious! I always tell myself I am going to get something different when I come back, but I always stick to the same thing. Either I am a creature of habit, or it is just that dang good!

That sounds like a big meal but it was right sized for us. She also tried the cinnamon buns. It was delicious but at the same time quite light so it won't leave you feeling too guilty. It has a very pleasant atmosphere with attentive service and a terrific food combination. This establishment really understands its clientele while still staying true to their culture and themselves. The menu has western classics (burger, fries, sandwiches, etc), a kids menu, all day breakfasts (including an eggs benedict) and a Korean selection, simply amazing. We ordered Bibimbap and a Bulgogi burger. The Bibimbap was good but some sesame oil or additional spices would be of benefit. The veggies were of great quality and the rice was perfectly cooked. The Bulgogi burger was excellent with fresh beef and hand made fries (we ordered even more fries as they were not oily but crispy and delicious). The prices maybe abit high but the quality of the food is very good and we respect that choice. We will be returning to this true gem on the prairies.
