VERY long wait times and slow moving service, even if you have an appointment. I had an appointment scheduled at 12pm and didn't get seen until over an hour later. I've seen other reviews where people don't get seen for 2-3+ hours, even with appointments. There's no AC in the waiting room so it's very hot in the summer. Office is very outdated. They do a very minimal checkup and 'cleaning', which is essentially rubbing some paste on your teeth for 10 seconds and having you use mouthwash. I saw the Doctor for a total of 5 minutes out of the 1.5 hr+ I was there. Dr. Cranon is nice but I'm going to try to schedule my next appointment with a different doctor through my insurance. They don't do any sort of appointment reminds or annual notifications, it's on you to remember when you need an appointment. Which is fine but like, it's 2026, not even an automated notification that I'm due for a checkup? Very lackluster experience. read more

Dr pulled 6 of my front teeth and never provided replacements. That was November 2025, it is now March 2026. Whenever I went back to finish the procedure and get my crowns, he would claim that there was some problem with the lab or that I came on the wrong day. All of the temporaries have fallen out so I'm walking around with no front teeth. When I went in to have the temporaries reglued back in, he simply ignored me. It is clear to me that he has no intention of finishing the job since I have now been informed that he is retiring. I have paid him a partial payment of $1500 that he refuses to refund. I desperately need my money as I have no intention of returning to this horrible dentist. read more

First, I am extremely puzzled as to how this office can have more than three stars. Perhaps your experience may vary depending on what type of insurance you have, but my experience is as follows: Appointment: Do not bother making an appointment because "walk-in" patients will be seen before patients with appointments (See other reviews regarding appointments vs "walk-in"). For instance, my appointment was at 1:00 pm, and I waited an hour, but multiple "walk-in" patients who came after me, saw the dentist before me - outrageous. Medi-Cal: While I was lying down on the dental chair - getting ready for the checkup and cleaning - the dentist asked his staff if I was a Medi-Cal patient. Now, I am not a dentist, and I am not sure whether the type of insurance I have has any effects on the outcome of the checkup but I could attest that the "cleaning" I got lasted less than 10 minutes - and certainly not because my teeth were clean because I saw another dentist three days after, and they were surprised that I even got any "cleaning" done. All in all, my experience was not pleasant, and I will not return. But you may have a better experience if you do not have Medi-Cal. read more

I was recommended to this dentist from my best friend. I went to Dr Cranon on April 12, 2024. Going in the office, it was patients in the lobby. Everyone look so relaxed. I had to fill out forms being a new patient. I fill out my forms gave them back to the nurse at the front desk She was very professional and so sweet. I was called about 30 minutes after. The nurse name Anna did my X-rays so nice and gentle. Then Dr Cranon came examine my teeth, told me what I have to get done, but was also very professional and gentle and just kind. I'm scheduled for my cleaning on next week and the journey begins. Dr Cranon has a wonderful staff working with him. I already recommended some of my family members to check him out. Only go if you're interested in spending several hours in a waiting room. Terrible scheduling system. It's great that this place offers walk-in appointments and takes medi-cal but there's literally no reason to add yourself to the schedule if everyone is treated to the same first-come first-served selection process -- and not even because I noticed two people serviced before me were long gone by the time I decided three hours was more than enough time to wait for a BOOKED appointment. They really need to work on the amount of time allotted for each patient instead of cramming as many people in the waiting room (or parking lot) as possible. I'm sure Dr. Cranon is nice. Amazing dentist I was a Mess looking like Chrisiana Rock missin my front tooth because I was so traumatized by a bad experience in Palmdale with a horrible dentist! Dr. Cranon always got the jams playing to help you relax and is so attentive to your comfort ensuring that if your feeling any pain he will stop numb the area again and wait for it to take effect. Horrible experience. My wife had a dental emergency in awful pain and I called on a Saturday, explained the situation and asked if they could look at her mouth and make a diagnosis. They do braces on Saturday so no work could be done but a diagnosis could be made. I Uber my wife from Sherman Oaks to the dental office (they knew the distance she was coming). She gets there and the doctor looked at her mouth the gave her a prescription for antibiotics. Didn't look in her mouth, looked at her mouth and gave no diagnosis. Then they would not take my call the next couple of times I called which means they recognized the number and knew the did wrong. Dirty players don't go to this office! read more

I was originally referred to him by a friend who understood my fears and my dentist hoping because I wouldn't like the lack of a bedside manner I would receive, I often couldn't relax and experienced extreme anxiety that I couldn't shake. Dr Cranon has been a perfect fit for me he listens and takes note of the type of patient you are and treats the patient accordingly. What I have valued most is his patience with me. Where do I start? Maybe by saying that if I could give him more stars, then I would! I have lived in several states and different countries around the world, however, Dr. Cranon is the only person I have allowed to touch my teeth. I am a lifelong patient of his and I can't see that ever changing. I have experienced nearly every procedure you can imagine here and have always had a pleasant experience. He has always done a great job of explaining what I can expect and has been unbelievably accommodating when it comes to fitting me in the schedule. In fact, I recall coming in a few times before office hours to get some work done before leaving town. The dental assistants in the office are amazing, the music is always good, and I love the receptionist Brenda and Antoinette! The office was unprofessional. I signed in and waited almost two hours, no body came to help me. I was there on appointment. Many people who came behind me , got in and got treated, but not me . Dr.Cranon is not welcoming or comforting at all, I was his patient for months and he never even cared to remember my name or talk to me. There were 6 walk-in patients that came the same time that I did and all walk-in patients were taken back for service and I was left waiting in the waiting room, even when I told the receptionist that I had an appointment. Very insensitive and unempathetic dentist. Initially he seemed courteous but when it was time for him to pull out my tooth, i felt a little bit of pain and jerked. The insensitive dentist said if you cant sit still, i might need to cancel this procedure. I told him, i still felt some pain, then he applied more lidocaine (numbing medication) and i was good from there. Will never go there again. I'm so thankful i went here. The service is genuine, pretty timely, and very good at what they do. I don't usually put in reviews, unless i feel something really stood out. I had an immediate appointment to extract my wisdom tooth. Quick with the xrays, quick to tell me the procedure and options, and have me a price before doing anything (couldn't take my specific insurance, that's not their fault). The procedure is gruesome in itself, i have had a wisdom tooth removed before so i knew what i was getting myself into. The fact that I had to be awake again bothered me, but this time it was my choice. They made it as easy as possible for me, sparing the gory details, I walked out smiling. Gauze and all, haha. ...and this was all yesterday evening! The fact i could get my tooth pulled the DAY i called AND two days BEFORE Christmas is not usual. Thank you! read more

I've been to Dr.Cranon several times and it's been a great experience. The staff and doctor are EXTREMELY friendly and make you right at home. The facility is nothing to look at from the outside, but on the inside it's very clean and fully equipped with several dental areas and all the latest dental technology. The prices have always been VERY affordable and they very easy to work with on payments. Dr.Cranon offers nitrous oxide gas for relaxation during dental procedures, an option I've used several times to loosen my nerves. Once you have the gas and the shots, you'll barely notice any discomfort (even during full extractions). Dr.Cranon is very skilled in his craft, and was very gentle in all my dental work. Everything was extremely clean and sterile, the staff really does a great job on that. You don't really make appointments, you just come in and wait in the waiting room. Making appointments is pointless because it will be the same wait time regardless. Speaking of which, be prepared for a 30-60 minute wait time because the doctor hops from area to area working on several people at time. It's understandable because the prices are so low, a lot of people are lining up to see him. Dr. Cranon is also someone I trust, he's never attempted to upsell me into expensive procedures. First time visitor. Last time customer. While Dr. Cranon was cordial & professional, he certainly was not warm or inviting. I didn't really feel at ease while I was there. The equipment was not up-to-date nor was I offered a copy of my x-rays once the work was completed. (I did end up getting them, but only after I requested them.) I originally came for a cleaning but don't feel that Dr. Cranon did a thorough job. He barely "scraped" my teeth, didn't administer an oral cancer screening & didn't polish all of my teeth. He FAILED to check my gums to see if there was any receding or gum disease. EPIC FAIL on his part. I almost called my insurance company to report malpractice - I will definitely NEVER return. He is ole skool & I luv that!!!! I had my Xrays procedure & cleaning no problem. I had 2 reschedule 2 return...one of the procedures was just 2 uncomfortable (even with an injection & gas). Good dentist, a few of my family members go there he does great work. Today it was very disappointing my family was there with my two girls (7,2) all the staff acted very stupid because kids where there. They kept complaining about them. my girls aren't trouble makers that's why is very disappointing. They weren't allowed to touch magazines or sit on the floor. They were being supervised at all times and when they had a snack they acted like the world was ending. They might as well say no kids allowed. read more

I called a month in advance to make appointments for wisdom teeth extraction for my three daughters. I inquired at that time if they could be put to sleep for the procedure and was given a positive response. After making work arrangements for myself and the two oldest upon arriving at the office was informed that the procedure could not be done that day due to them needing to take valium 24 hours prior to procedure. So in the end nothing was done and I will have to locate an oral surgeon that give you all the information in advance when asked. Beware of info given by his front office. read more

THIS IS SOOOOOO MY DENTIST! I base the type of insurance that i get on if his office accepts it! And for a while when i didn't have insurance i paid cash! He has been in my mouth for over 23 years now!! I was a young 20 with a terrible tooth ache and he got me together! Dr. D.C has the most gentle touch and will do all that he can to save your teeth... He is a master at his craft and no one ever believes me when i say that my experiences at the dentist are pleasent and pain free... SERIOUSLY the smallest of pricks and then NOTHING! Now the wait can be long SOMETIMES but think about it ... Its because he takes his time making sure that you and every one of his paitents are comfortable...you wouldn't want a dentist who rushed you in and out would you?
