The first visit was great everyone was nice and friendly but after that, every appointment has turned into a waste of my time. Today, I drove 45 minutes in rush hour traffic, didn't send kids to school and when we got there, they told don't have a provider who accepts our insurance. I never received any cancellation call or message. receptionist insists that someone called me at 8:00 am to cancel my 9:00 am appointment, but I did not receive or answer any call. Even if that call was made, canceling an appointment only one hour before is completely unacceptable, especially after this has happened multiple times. There is lack of respect for other people's time. Nice apology and a fake smile do not make up for the inconvenience, stress, and time that have been wasted. This experience has completely ruined my trust in this office and has made me regret choosing this place for my children's dental care. If you are organize person and make a plan for yourself, Don't choose them.

I called to reschedule my son's appointment now that he will be starting school, as we are unable to attend a 9:00 a.m. appointment. I explained to Kristen that my son has to be at school by 9:00 a.m. each day or he is unable to attend for the day. She said she could reschedule us and offered a 12:00 p.m. appointment on the same day. I explained that he would also be in school at that time and requested a weekend appointment, at which point she informed me that the office is closed on weekends. I then asked if there were any appointments available before 9:00 a.m., and she stated that appointments do not begin until 9:00 a.m. She proceeded to offer several more 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. appointments, so I asked if there were any appointments available after 3:00 p.m. She then told me she could not schedule my son for a later appointment because he is under 6 years old. I simply asked what my son's age had to do with the appointment times. Instead of answering my question, she repeated the same statement, and I explained that I was genuinely confused. I asked if it had something to do with nap schedules or another toddler-related reason. I also shared that, despite every appointment lasting nearly two hours due to the wait to be seen, my son has never had any behavioral issues. She then stated, somewhat hesitantly, that children under 6 become restless in the afternoon, so they do not schedule them during that time. While I fully support businesses having policies and understand that I can choose whether or not to patronize them, refusing to schedule children under 6 for afternoon appointments while calling yourselves "Children's Dental Specialist" seems unreasonable. Limiting school-aged children and working parents to only 9:00 a.m. or 12:00 p.m. weekday appointments is neither family-friendly nor community-friendly. My son has only had two appointments at this office, and both times we waited a significant amount of time before he was seen by the dentist. I informed Kristen that I would like to cancel my son's current appointment and that we would no longer be patients at this practice. I hope the office reevaluates this policy because it creates an unnecessary barrier for school-aged children and working families seeking pediatric dental care. Policies should support the families a pediatric dental practice is meant to serve, not make it more difficult for them to access care.

It is always someone new who doesn't know your kid. But the biggest annoyance is, and this happened multiple times, I would get a reminder for an appointment that had changed. At least three different times they changed my kids' appointments and didn't tell me until they were reminding me of the appointment. Plus, even though they're in network, they always seem to charge me for something. Not only do they find a way to charge you even though you're going in-network, this time they tried to charge me over $600 because they told me my insurance denied it. When I pushed them further, they realized it was a billing error on their part. They could have stolen $600 from me without me really understanding that. Plus, we live in a day and age where as a family of color it matters to me how people are voting and how people see my family and I just don't want to patronize people who vote against human rights of women and people of color.

Kenzi was not only thorough, she carefully explained things to both my son and I so we understood what was happening. She's so calm and patient. She made sure my son checked to see if everything felt right before we left and actually listened to his feedback, removing some extra wire from the top. Although the office was quite busy, we were greeted by name upon walking in the door. It is easy to see how much positivity and effort each person puts in to their work here. Now they're telling us we have to pay the balance, and if we don't, they won't treat our toddler again. The way this was communicated to us was also very rude and unprofessional. I completely understand that insurance coverage can be complicated, but that's exactly why we called ahead and asked. Twice. If they had told us they weren't sure or that we should verify with insurance ourselves, we would have done that. Instead, we relied on the information they gave us. It's not even just about the bill at this point. It's how the entire situation was handled. Very disappointing experience, especially from an office that works with young children.
