Not only the clientele but the doctors and staff as well are walking around like they just stepped out of a bad movie about a health center gone wrong. I've been waiting for 2 hours and 45 minutes and have yet to see a single doctor. I've been dismissed by every single person that I have spoken to. I have filled out the exact same paperwork three times for three different desks. I've hit a rough patch and my insurance is Medicaid now for the time being so my options are pretty limited. But I did not know that I had to scrape the bottom of the barrel and suffer through this type of treatment. Or lack thereof.. It's a rundown old facility kind of clean, not impressively so. Since I have yet to see a single professional on staff I cannot write a review about that. The waiting time alone and the treatment thus far does not instill any faith that I will be treated and acceptable fashion once I get in. Go anyplace else if you can. You know how hard it is once you get an appointment to walk away. Just don't make the appointment here. Avoid.

That wasn't the case, the receptionist was very nice and explained to me that even without an appointment I was looking at 15-30 wait time. It seemed like an eternity but I appreciated her honesty and it went by rather quickly, given there were 3 patients in front of me. I was asked to go into one of the office within 15 minutes. The staff was professional and quick, they assessed me and listened to me. I took a COVID and Strep test and from there they confirmed my results and sent a prescription to my pharmacy right away.

A few weeks ago, I got a voicemail (disclosing personal medical information) asking when I am coming back. This example is a good one why I've left the practice - it's poorly run and the support staff isn't trained. Even if allowed by HIPPA, I find leaving specific medical information on a voicemail unprofessional. What if someone's number changed? Or you weren't leaving a message for the right person?

The problem comes from their billing department. We have a full insurance for urgent care with a small copay and came here a few times without any issue. However after my wife's last visit in November we received a pretty hefty bill for the visit. According to our insurance there is a simple coding issue on the bill and the billing department needs to update it. After months of back and forth the billing department just recently told us that they can't change the billing code and that only the provider can. We came back physically to the GoHealth to try and get some help. That's where the person at the front desk was going her best to get us to speak with someone. We got a quick phone call from the person in charge who assured us the matter was going to get escalated to upper management and that we will get a feedback really soon. It has been 2 weeks and it's proven impossible to get a feedback by email, phone, or contact form. Today I got a letter from their billing department saying that late fees and debt recollection will apply. Again the one star isn't here for the quality of services but for the hassle and complete lack of assistance trying to get a simple code updated so that Northwell Health can get paid by our insurance.

Perhaps the biggest pro is this location's hours; they're open on nights and weekends so you don't have to take time away from work and they can see you pretty much right away. I tried making an appointment with three other ObGyn practices in Manhattan and couldn't get an appointment for at least 3+ months out. A quick aside: there were a bunch of old men holding anti-choice and Trump/Pence signs outside. I drive down White Plains Road all the time and have never seen protestors outside of Planned Parenthood so I can only assume that they're riled up by the inflammatory rhetoric of this election cycle. Seeing them only strengthened my resolve to use Planned Parenthood as my ObGyn provider going forward.

But if I'm being honest, why even bother scheduling an appointment with the facility if you aren't going to be seen for 2+ hours after? I made an appointment for 2:20pm and wasn't seen until about 4:10pm. They close at 5pm. It didn't even give me enough time to truly troubleshoot & resolve my issues via calling (which also needs a serious update and give the option to speak to a representative faster instead of making 90% of tue responses AI...). The doctor I saw was polite, but definitely didn't listen when I told her about my concerns regarding switching a medication I was taking. Not only that, the doctor just completely gave me the wrong medication that I did not ask for. Unbelievable, especially when I explained three times in detail why I was choosing such a medication. I had my pharmacy and the patient representative send messages to please call me back urgently I have yet to receive a response. Maybe it is just this location, but for a first experience I am very disappointed. I wouldn't recommended this place to anyone unless you have no other options around you.
