So impressed and happy with Crane Customers (Jayme and Mike)! We had them refinish our builder grade oak kitchen. Jayme ran through the options, she was professional and informative. My feedback, the upgrades are WORTH IT. We went with the endcaps, custom island, and crown molding atop our cabinets. Best money I've ever spent. We were looking for a carpenter to help flip my home office into a playroom and hopefully work a bit with what we have as opposed to a complete tear down. We were very gun shy after a bad experience on a separate room in the house. I cannot say enough great things about Mike and Jayme Crane of Crane Customs. They were a complete delight to work with... honest, creative, dependable.... people you enjoy having in your home and feel good about giving your money to.... it was on time, exactly on budget as quoted and they took a few ideas we had and made them even better. I see so many posts asking about contractors and talking about no shows or poor quality that I thought I would share how fun, stress free and enjoyable this project was and we wrapped it up in 4 days. (Granted they are booked out... but nothing crazy) My son and my Labrador adored them and you can tell they are just really good people that do honest quality work. They are extremely punctual from the estimate meeting all the way through to the end of the project. I never had to go looking for anyone as they were on time for EVERY interaction and were in constant communication on status. Mike Crane is a tremendously competent and knowledgeable craftsman, whose services you would do well to employ. We hired him to refinish our front door, a job that if not done right would bother us every time we came home. He gave us superb, informed advice on the paint for the job, he worked as a paint company representative before striking off on his own into the world of door and wood refinishing and advanced custom carpentry. He arrived promptly for the estimate, to which he held after a very thorough inspection where he sought our input constantly in order to get it JUST right, although when he suggested an alternative to our original thoughts, he was respectful and convincing. On the day of the job, he was again prompt, pulled up with his own workshop-trailer and quickly and skillfully got right to work, pulling the front door, taking it into his trailer for sanding and an utterly superb paint job, flawlessly applied on the exterior and interior surfaces. He addressed our every concern, the door looks wonderful and functions as if it had never been removed and reinstalled at all. You never think of all that's involved in doing a difficult job at a superlative level until you watch a master craftsman do it. We were greatly impressed. I withheld this review for two months, because the final test of a painting job is how it withstands winter weather. Mark's craftsmanship lasts as splendidly as it looks. We cannot recommend Mark and his special, proven skills more highly. read more

I had a banister that needed to be revitalized after 13 years of abuse and a new wood floor. Mike came and explained his process to me as well as being very transparent about me possibly not liking the outcome before he even started with the project. Once I agreed to it, he worked diligently and I was extremely happy with my decision! My wife also came and Mike made sure that both of us were happy.
