My husband and I started our search for a grand piano at the beginning of this year. I was most impressed when I came upon Melbourne Piano Sales having been to a few shops around Melbourne. Every piano that I played at Matt's shop was of a very high standard and the selection was great. Matt was most helpful with any questions that we had. We also spent time talking to Nick (who is a piano tuner) about the different actions on grands and uprights. I really took an interest in a lovely Yamaha and I came back again and again to play it and compare it to the other wonderful pianos that are for sale. Matt was really great, he was always there to answer our questions but he also gave us time to browse and play. He did not hover over us or keep asking us when we were going to buy. When we made our final decision we were most confident. All the great reviews that you read on the Internet are true, Melbourne Piano Sales is a must visit if you want a good piano. I will be recommending Melbourne Piano Sales to all my friends and students. If we owned a mansion we probably buy a piano in Matt's shop about once a year. But as we are in a small space we had to get the perfect piano. One that would last us a lifetime and once that we need to love enough to take it across the world with us. Super disappointing shopping with these guys. Very slow to act on issues, they don't follow up…read moreanything unless you chase them over and over and over and over. Rife with excuses, deplete of solutions. Have had a couple of good experiences in the past, but since then something has changed, and the way they conduct business is absolutely cooked. Never again. That goes for all sneaky sister sites and partners too (be careful, they're cloaked everywhere) 2 high ticket keyboard/synths purchased. 2 faulty units. Both faulty on the exact same key (I now doubt this was a coincidence, after the way they've handled this entire case from day 1. I smell sabotage). Both had to be hand-delivered back to the StarTrack depot, requiring time off work, because they couldn't figure out collection (StarTrack said my house is absolutely within pickup zone, but this company was dismissive as always). If you're in the market for cheap toys, maybe this joint is fine. But if you're investing in a more serious piece of gear, give them a miss. Quality is bad, customer support is horrendous, and their solution is to get rid of you (after stringing you along for weeks/months), rather than figure out a way to make it right.

In addition they can do repairs, setups and modifications to your instrument or amplifier. The range is very comprehensive and there are always some really cool and interesting instruments available. The quality of their service is excellent, and they are very friendly and approachable. If you have a question or a problem they'll give you excellent advice.
