History
Established in 2014.
ATI Group is a family business with 27 years' history in Coburg. The Batman Market site has been a key economic contributor to the City of Moreland as a textiles factory. At the height of its use, the site was an iconic facility in Melbourne's textiles industry. It was on this site that Australian Defence Apparel (ADA) made uniforms for the Australian Department of Defence and Australian Texturizing Industries (ATI) made yarn for domestic sale and export. Together ADA and ATI has supported many hundreds of local jobs.
ATI Group wants to revitalise this landmark site and restore economic potential and its relevance to the community and. Our family's lasting connection to this area has inspired us to celebrate its unique energy by setting up Batman Market, a weekend market and communal space for the people of Coburg.
