Drive in from Tulsa to pickup a Mazda that had been agreed to on the phone. There was a miscommunication between myself and the GM where he had agreed to a 5% flat rate based on my phenomenal credit score and meeting me halfway on taxes by lowering the car price a little. When I arrived to pick it up the finance paperwork showed the right price but at 5.54% APR. When I explained the mistake I was met with some resistance on pushing the rate back to where it was agreed upon in writing. Eventually after showing texts with the GM and a photo of the typed offer, and myself offering to just finance myself through Navy Federal for 4.75% the floor manager agreed to the original 5% and honored the list price, giving me a very solid deal, better than any in Tulsa. One star only because I can't leave zero starts. At first everything was good. But, after returning to the dealership to pick up the truck that I bought, which was a Ford L8000 mini Semi, they parked it on the grass OUTSIDE of the dealership. And, the batteries were dead. So, after trying to jump it with my vehicle, all the while multiple salesmen drove by me in the literal freezing cold, I had to leave it until the weather warmed up, and until I could get back to Ft Smith (I live over an hour away.) During that week, the dealership called me and said that they had batteries to put in it, but were going to charge me $1200, because it takes 3 batteries. I, in my most professional tone, told them to pound sand. I went and bought my own batteries, at a $600 hit. Installed them, by myself, and left the dealership. I will not, nor will anyone in my family, ever step a single foot near that dealership. We're actually driving all the way to Rogers to purchase the car that Crain had. That's how much I despise Crain Hyundai. read more

I had the worst car buying experience. Took them 95 days to get me all of my paperwork to tag my car. They had no helpful people. It was always let me call you back and the call never came. After having to hound them there was one lady in their corporate office that did her job and helped us. They also refused to fix an issue they missed in doing the inspection before they sell it. Absolutely do NOT EVER recommend! I took my truck to Crain due to a oil leak after just buying it in November of last year (WITH warranty). NOTED: The ONLY reason I took it there was because we bought it threw them! After getting a estimate on it they sent me a email saying it would cost $992.99 (due to warranty not covering it) which I was fine paying. I got estimate threw someone else which would cost me way less ($650) so decided not to go with Crain. Then after "diagnosing" it they charged me $199 to just look at my truck! They did nothing but pulled it into a shop and seen where the leak was! They even sent me a estimate which states, " Inspection report completed multi-point inspection report card as a complimentary service to you by CRAIN Hyundai". They never said anything about being charged for any "DIAGNOSING". I will never be going back to Crain nor will ever recommend it! Absolutely recommend ORR Chevrolet in fort smith! I have never been treated or charged like this before. That is so BS! They will charge you for any little thing they can, still treat their customers terrible, and be so unprofessional! read more

Rant! Do not use Crain Hyundai in Ft Smith! I took my car in a few weeks ago for diagnosis. They couldn't diagnosis it in the amount of time we had. So they rescheduled. This was partially my fault because I booked to much in one day. Took my car in on Tuesday night of last week for a Wednesday Appointment. Get there and.. "you don't have an appointment for tomorrow, but we will work it in." That's fine, because I expected it to take all day. -Call Wednesday "we are still tracking down the problem." -Thursday - There is a short somewhere throwing two fuses. Still trying to track it down. Friday- We will call you back in an hour. (No call back) Monday- Dusty goes by there to get some personal belongings. Sorry sir your technician is on lunch. Call back in an hour and he can update you. He calls and they say he will call you in an hour. NO CALL BACK Monday night- I leave message on service managers voicemail. No call back. Today-Call and get Clyde. He tells me they have ordered two parts (thermost and air conditioner wiring harness.) and it will be at least a week before the parts are in. Then they hope that fixes the problem.. i ask where my name is on the waiting list for a loaner and the response is I will have to call you tomorrow.... I am going home right now. If I could give a fat "no star" I would. First I purchase a vehicle placing a large amount of down payment being reassured I would be on top of the value of the vehicle so no need to do gap. It thought great! Plans changed and I decided to purchase a truck so go to trade my 2024 Tucson, Hyundai with 5000 miles on it and in excellent condition in for a used truck. I was told my payments would be almost $200 more with the trade-in!!!! I was shocked. So I contact the Crain Hyundai dealership in Fort Smith (where I purchased the vehicle) requesting to cancel the extra warranty on the vehicle which I hoped would lower my monthly payment. Nope and to top it off the Finance Department guy never sent the form to cancel the warranty. I feel this is going to be a long process and not going to be pretty at the end. Keep you updated. Stopped through this morning with a blinking alert for low tires. We were traveling. Crain Hyundai checked out tires, added air and answered a few questions on the alerts. They were fast and efficient. By the way, love our 2022 Sonata Nline. Gas mileage is around 35 mpg on average and it drives like a dream!. read more

I talked with a woman named Jamie several times and set up at appointment to go down to Fort Smith from Fayetteville to purchase a new Elantra. My sister drove over from Tulsa to drive me down there to pick up the car. When we arrived, there was no Jamie, and no car. They had sold that Elantra, and the ones they had were fully SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS over list price because "supply and demand," as the extremely unhelpful sales guy explained it to us. In other words, they didn't even pretend we'd be paying for extra features--it's literally just that people are having a hard time finding cars right now, so they can charge six thousand dollars because they feel like it. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Total waste of time. How do you treat people that way? read more

Let me start by saying I'm a patient person. It takes a lot to upset me, I've worked quite a bit of retail so I understand when businesses are busy and might take a little bit longer. But how Crain Hyundai treated me was absolutely unacceptable. They had my car for nearly 3 months. They would shrug their shoulders every time I called to ask for an update (they will NEVER call you to update, you always have to call them) and say they can't figure it out. I have a warranty with them that covers everything but basic wear and tear, they said they knew it wasn't basic wear and tear, they said that they don't recommend me even driving my car at all because it wasn't safe. Yet when I complained about the wait they said, and I quote "well it's not breaking down while you drive it yet, so you can come get it if you need it." ... basically a big FU to me. It got to the 2 month mark and I finally got a case manager to help me (the first one completely ghosted me for weeks) and I told her I've spoken with a lawyer and I would go to court if needed. But I said I wanted to do everything in my power to not do that. Well, magically after I told her that, they found the issue with my car. And fixed it not even a week later. Now, keep in mind I never got a loaner. I asked for one when I first brought it in but they had a line. I was 6th in place. I called a few weeks later and asked where I was. They said my name wasn't on their list and they would put me back in 6th place. When I went to pick my car up today I asked to see the loaner list. They AGAIN took my name off of the list. They then proceeded to try to tell me that they "call multiple times and if you don't answer they take you off the list". Which I mentioned I have the number saved so I always answer or call back asap. They didn't know what to say. They have lied to me so many times I have lost count. Telling me "oh we'll look at it tomorrow" or "I think it'll be fixed in the next week or so" and every single time they lied, over and over and over. And this isn't the first time they had my car for an extended period. They once had it for SIX WEEKS before they even LOOKED at it. All it needed was a new battery. I know this post is long, but if you made it this far please know every word I typed out is 10000% true. The used car I purchased had a myriad of unseen issues. After purchase, they hung the After market put over the tag. The camera did not work. The tire sensors were on the wrong tires. The tires they said that passed inspection were damaged and lost most of their pressure over 6 days. Slowly losing pressure from day to day. My disabled mom purchased a car from this dealership a little over a year ago! She has recently had to call them because the motor has been making a weird unusual noise. They told her to bring it in and they would make sure she was taken care of! Upon getting her car to the service center they told her there was a recall on her motor! They didn't offer her a loaner vehicle at all, so instead my disabled mom had to call my aunt, who lives 45 minutes away, to come pick her up and take her home! My mom has now been without of a car, she is disabled on a fixed income, way out in the country with severe health issues, for over a week! She has called and been very rudely dealt with by the service manager, Mike! This morning January 16, 2024, I called the service department manager and was NICELY asking for a rundown of what is going on to get a better idea of the situation and in the midst of asking my question I was very rudely interrupted by Mike the manager by him raising his voice at me. Mike proceeded to tell me that he has 15 loaner vehicles and already has 7 or 8 people in front of her so she will be put on a list for a loaner vehicle. Mike also went on to tell me that my mom isn't the only one in the world who has health problems and we needed to stop calling! This was literally the first time I called!!! I WOULD NOT GIVE MY BUSINESS TO THIS PLACE IF IT WAS THE ONLY OPTION I HAD... GOD DOESN'T LIKE UGLY!!! read more

When looking over a used car, we were offered a sale price $1K off the sticker price. The next morning the salesman (Blakely) called us to gauge our interest and we agreed to come back. We were then informed that there was a "mistake" and the car wasn't given an inspection and needed new tires. The offer was taken back and the new price was $1K higher. No apology or remorse by the sales manager (Cody) other than explaining that "we're human". A classic Bait and Switch. read more

I purchased a used 2017 Elantra and could not have had a worse experience. If you're considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership, DON'T. They do not provide the "phenomenal customer service" they rave about on their website, and do not stand behind their vehicles when they have mechanical issues four days after a sale. When braking on the interstate four days later, the car violently shook. I tested this out a few more times and it was clearly a safety problem. I contacted the salesman who would not give me a straight answer on getting the car into a service department until almost a week later. They refused to look at the vehicle without charging a $120 diagnostic fee and refused to fix the problem. Their reasoning? Because their mechanics didn't make any notes about the shaking during their inspection. But that's the point - their mechanics missed it and they refused to fix the problem. I had to take it to the Bentonville Crain dealer, who helpfully let me know it was actually a warranty repair and the inspection should have caught it if they would have driven it on the interstate. They fixed the warped brake rotors and were very apologetic. Not only did Crain Ft. Smith refuse to fix a mechanical problem with the vehicle only four days after the purchase, they didn't even inform me it would be a warranty repair. Never buy a vehicle from this dealership unless you want to be jerked around. read more

Avoid this place like the plague. Took my 2013 in because it wouldn't start three times and they said "it didn't do anything so you must be lying." On the fourth time, I took it in and they said it was "blowing blue smoke," a problem that has NEVER happened. Me, being dumb, didn't ask a man to investigate for me and just authorized repairs. All they did was flush everything for $800 and the car wouldn't start a week later. Never offered any of my money back. I called and was told, "bring it in." Like how? I had a male relative call and get up in arms and they finally did something. It turned out it was the starter fuse, and they didn't even want to replace it. My uncle had to demand they replace it instead of switch it with the horn fuse. Unfortunately, not a month after, some moron totaled my car because he was texting and hit me going 50 mph while I was stopped. I got a new car at this dealership, stupid of me, and it began having problems with the front passenger airbag. Took it in, and was told that there was no issue. They asked to look under the hood, and I said "i do not authorize you to do anything underneath that hood. Don't even touch that hood." Problem with the airbag is ongoing and unresolved. I've given up on this dealership. I've given up on Hyundai. If you want a Hyundai, go to a different dealership. This happened in 2019 but I am still angry about it even now. I would still be driving my 2013 Elantra if it had not been totaled because I loved that car. Blue smoke is a running joke in the family. read more

A day later they claim they have no idea where her trade in went and can't take the car back. Unwilling to help or offer any solutions to fix the matter after several family members tried to explain the situation, they don't care!
