I came to Dr. Jonov, liposuction, breast implant removal and fat transfer to the breast. The day of the surgery, I met with an anesthesiologist, she resurrected me that I was in great care. She says, I will not be sent home until I was awaken from the surgery. The opposite happened. I was rushed out into the car. I had not woken up yet. My friend who picked me was confused and concerned. During all my visits with Dr. Jonov, I raised the same concerns. ( Nipples pointing downward, areolas are uneven, my abdomen on the right side is protruding and my right side has pockets of fat ) He said to give it 12 months ) 12 months is here. Nothing changed but Dr. Jonov's arrogant attitude refused to knowledge any of the issues. The only one thing he offered to do was inject fat dissolving solution on my abdomen that is protruding and I would have to pay $450 for the service. I made a terrible mistake in walking into the office of Craig Jonov. I was relegated to searching for an oral surgeon to perform badly needed jaw surgery-orthognathic surgery. Craig Jonov assured me that he was trained to do this surgery and that he had ample experience. I asked him if he had any before and after photos of patients that he had performed this surgery in. He told me that he did but that the photos were not readily available? I was forced to search for an oral surgeon because my bumbling, uncaring orthodontist, C. Neil Nicholson, didn't have a formal connection to an oral surgeon who was trained in this procedure. So, now I am 66 and have no cartilage remaining in either TMJ. Lovely. Out of the blue I was told by Craig Jonov that he would not perform the surgery and that he would only provide emergency assistance for 30 days? An unmitigated misanthrope. read more

Do you dream of looking lumpy and uneven? Have Dr Jonov do your lipo suction. Do you desire to be treated like you don't matter at a surgeons office? Never be asked if you'd like the disposable bra/panties? Would you like to end up looking like there's an avocado under your skin after a tummy tuck? This is the Dr for you. After several complaints they offered to do a "correction" to even out the extremely misshapen hips. They somewhat fixed one side, hardly touched the other (photo is several months post the "correction"), and not once followed up. Go here at your own risk. I was charged for lipo in my outer thighs but they were NOT done. The inner thighs are extremely uneven. This guy has no clue how to properly do lipo on a female body. They will bribe you to leave a positive review by offering discounts on creams when you are not even one month healed. Multiple (3) people tried to get me to leave a positive review after my 4 week appointment, stating that if I left a positive review before I left that day and showed it to them, they would give me a discount on some cream. I COMPLETELY disagree with the two reviews below. I had a wonderful (or, as wonderful as wisdom teeth extraction can be) experience during the whole process!! I did, in fact, read these two reviews before my appointment so I was nervous and expecting the worst. Boy, was I wrong! The staff was incredibly helpful and kind and took the time to explain everything from the procedure to the billing in great detail. I was even able to joke around and laugh a little with the staff, which always puts me at ease. The surgery itself wasn't too bad. All four of my teeth were surrounded by bone and impacted yet it only took 45 minutes total. They were very diligent about after care and explained everything to my boyfriend (who was my escort/care taker for the day) and even called me a few hours later to check up on me! I had to call back later in the day to ask a few questions but, unfortunately, the clinic was closed so I briefly spoke with the answering service and the next thing I know the DOCTOR HIMSELF called me back within 10 minutes to answer my questions! I could tell he genuinely cared and was NOT irritated or annoyed by my questions/drugged-up rambling. I just went in for my 1 week follow up today and I feel even stronger about my love for this place and it's staff :) I cried tears of frustration (I'm still in a little pain) but the employee (I forget her name) was so understanding and comforting and explained how the pain is from my muscles being sore and yah yah yah... in short, she answered all my questions and explained the healing process and what my next step is in great detail. I am so grateful for Dr. Jonov, I shudder to think of what state my face would be in without Dr. Jonov's deft surgical skills. I have had 6 oral maxillofacial surgeries in the past 18 months with Dr. Jonov. He and his staff have saved my face, not to mention removed hollow-point shrapnel from my tongue and neck. His office manager Tres has spent countless hours negotiating surgeries for me with the Victim's of Violent Crimes in CA ensuring I get the procedures necessary. The surgery was good, but the after care was very scary. He didn't believe I had complications, had to fight to get an appt, would not see me on weekends, took days to see me. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong, uncontrollable fluid retention/seroma lead to incision dehiscence, took him 2 months to control the fluid retention, incisions got infected, he just threw more antibiotics at me. Then I developed, which he diagnosed as cellulitis "over the phone" and threw more antibiotics at me, I developed fever of 104 for days & he wouldn't see me. Finally I told him I was going to go to ER as I was afraid I'd go septic, he forbade and discouraged me from going to ER. That is when I knew I couldn't trust him anymore. I went to the ER and was admitted, placed on IV antibiotics, not cellulitis but something else. Drains placed for 1 month to reduce seroma. He's a scary doctor. Everyone is very nice & helpful until they take your money, then they don't want to help you. Keep your life and take your money somewhere else! read more

Dr. Jonov damaged my nerves in 2007. He performed a lower wisdom teeth extraction in which the teeth were impacted. They were close to the nerves, so I told him if the teeth were too difficult to get out, to stop the surgery as I didn't want to risk nerve damage. Guess what happened? Well, BOTH sides of my face, from the lower jaw to lips are 100% numb due to him severing the Aveolar nerves. I can stick a needle in my chin and lips and not feel it. I had to relearn how to say words with the sound "F" in them, and can't feel a kiss. My lip and chin feel like there are weights on them, kind of like after anesthesia from the dentist wears off. Additionally, I had bruises around my neck, almost like someone had gripped it tightly for leverage. I went back to him after the surgery, very upset, and he was so cruel and uncaring. He snapped at me for being upset. I asked the dental tech what happened during the surgery and she said, "It was a really rough surgery." I should have sued, but I had a daughter who had a medical illness and had to focus on her and had very little bandwidth for anything else. I regret not filing a lawsuit. And now I find out that people go to him for PLASTIC SURGERY? Please, do not go to this "surgeon." read more

I went in for a minor procedure (closing of stretched out earring holes) that did need the use of the OR. Dr. and staff were very nice, super caring, and I felt really happy about my procedure until everything was healed. One of my ears was not completely closed. I still had a small open hole in my right ear. A licensed piercer pointed this out and so did my husband. So I went in to show him. He was defensive and told me he didn't see the hole and nothing was wrong. What? Um. What? I was not expecting this response. He was incredibly defensive. I felt he did not care about my satisfaction or care about me as a patient. I left unhappy, and humiliated I picked this doctor. If something goes wrong or is done poorly and you call him on it, be prepared to meet a very different doctor than you did at your consultation and surgery. read more

Immediately I was made to feel welcome and comfortable, no pressure to make any decisions that day (although I knew right away that this was the team for me). This place is just amazing. SO professional and so focused on their clients. Dr. Jonov excised and biopsied two spots along my gum line. Scary. I'm very disappointed in my results with surgery. It's been a year since surgery and I thought he would fix his mistakes. Not only did I pay 10k for a nose job and fat transfer to a deep scar. It's completely a mess and the Dr. Jonov said, "I'm sorry but I won't do a second surgery again". Not that I would want him to touch it again. I Don't recommend Dr. Jonov for Rhinoplasty or Septoplasty. My nose is completely unsymmetrical, crooked, I can't breath out of my left nostril, my hump is still there- didn't take anything down, he didn't do anything I asked him too. My nose is a mess from his Surgery he doesn't have the knowledge and experience in Rhinoplasty. I'm devastated from all of it and now am seeking another professional to correct his work. My nose prior was nicer than what he did. My nostrils are two different sizes and my profile has two different looks, and my nose turns to the Left and looks like a L shape. Please don't have this Dr. craig Jonov do any Rhinoplasty what so ever!!!! Also the fat transfer I had put into a scar he himself placed way too high and now is asking another $2.3k to take that fat out and inject it a inch lower, which was his mistake!! This doctor was rude from the moment he walked in. I waited for him much longer than I was supposed to and then when he arrived, I was shocked at the way this man acted toward me as customer. My experience with Dr. Jonov was the worst medical experience of my life. He thinks he's pretty great which translates into him treating patients in a demeaning, rude, brusk manner and don't even think about questioning his methods because he will belittle you and tell you it's your fault. This guy is extremely defensive when he screws up and blew off my concerns about my surgery that had complications, chalking it up to me screwing up my aftercare. Oral surgery is never "fun" and I did not expect it to be; I did, however, expect to be treated with respect and provided with comprehensive information in order to recover with minimal trouble. I had a liposuction done under my chin, and I was awake almost the whole procedure. I was looking at Craig and the nurse during surgery, but I couldn't move or talk because My body was paralyzed from the anesthesia. I heard the nurse say "is she fully aware of the procedure?" And Craig said "no". I felt a slight pain as he was liposuctioning the fat out of my neck and jawbone area. After the procedure the nurse asked me if I was awake during the procedure and I said yes. I didn't see any results until I lost 65 pounds after the procedure. Which I knew was from the weight loss and not the procedure done by Craig. I got my nose done as well and wanted the bump taken away. There was still a bump after I took off the bandages, and I was told swelling would occur for about a year. It's been almost 2+ years and I still have the bump and have gotten injections from another doctor to get rid of it. I would advise not to see this surgeon. Dr. Jonov is only Board Certified with the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery....or so it says on his website. He is not a specialist in facial surgery. Any doctor who does breast augmentations, nose jobs to liposuction - who used to pull out wisdom teeth, I don't trust to touch my face. I had filler injections and he did a horrible job. I had to get the Juvederm removed because he filled my cheeks too much and there was a gap under my eyes where there was no filler. He doesn't have an artistic eye. He just does it by the books, where the product manufacturer says you should inject. In fact he showed me a video from the company and told me he would inject exactly in the same place that was shown in the video. Everyone's problem areas are different and you should choose an injector that is good. I've had nurses inject me that have been fabulous and I've had doctors that have been terrible. A doc is not necessarily the best to inject. There are two facial plastic surgeons that I recommend: Dr. Naficy in Bellevue - check out his credentials - that's a real plastic surgeon and Dr. Gaboriau in Sammamish. Dr. Gaboriau injected Radiesse and Belotero under my eyes, which is a real delicate area that you don't want to trust to just anyone - especially someone inexperienced in cosmetic surgery like Dr. Jonov. Notice on his website that he did his cosmetic surgery fellowship at the Gallery of Cosmetic Surgery - which is the name of his office?? I guess he was practicing on people for his own benefit.
