I switched over to this dental office about a year ago because of their ability to schedule exams and cleanings on the same day. In addition, for emergency cases, they can take you in pretty quick. Myself, my husband, and our oldest daughter all attend this office. Staff here is very friendly and outgoing. Doctors are great and have always able to assist us with different needs. I will say that most of my interactions are with Tina who sometimes is checking me in, or also there are to assist with any services that I have. Recently, I experienced a dental nightmare that put me in the ER twice in one week and ultimately I was sent to a specialist to get a root canal performed. After I got my root canal done in December the same tooth cracked before the new year started, and I went back to this office. When I got in touch with Tina about my cracked tooth, she was able to fit me in, and I was so worried that they were going to extract my tooth. This was the day that I met Dr. Chang! He assured me that he would be able to save my tooth, and that he did! His superpower is his kind heart and easy-going attitude. He communicated with me every step of the way about the process and what needed to be done. That day he added a temporary crown, and I did return a few weeks later for the permanent crown. I am truly thankful for his knowledge and skills. I love the customer care that I receive, the cleanliness of the office, and the speed of getting services done. I believe that Tina and Dr. Chang are true assets to the company just by being themselves. Patient care comes first for them and their only goal is to make sure we aren't in pain or uncomfortable. Their warm hearts make me smile when I see them, and I will continue to return and refer others because of the way they have helped me through my horrible dental season!

The front desk continued to press us likely seeing as I had significant coverage left and the end of the year was approaching. I went to a new dentist 8 months later.... Well I have only 1 cavity that needs a conservative filling and has no progressed greatly. I would find it odd how 3 fillings were needed and it's not as if my cavities would have disappeared over time. Sorry but you folks need to work on how you do business bc lying to customers just to get paid is ridiculous, especially when some may not know what to look out for.

The hygienist, Janet, was so so nice and gentle - I really loved getting to know her better. And Dr. Koga was so personable, knowledgeable, and made me feel heard which is super important to me. I left the dental office that day realizing I went with the right dental team for this veneer procedure because they were so comforting and I knew I could trust their decision making. Premier Dental provided me with temporary veneers for 3 weeks and they gave me the heads up that I may experience some tooth sensitivity because the dentin layer would be exposed. When I returned for the permanent veneers, I knew I was in the best hands possible and they got right to it. Something about Dr. Fukada is she's a master at numbing... no intense pain!They drilled a bit to create a bonding surface and then bonded the veneers to my teeth. On my very first visit, my teeth were shaved down without a proper consultation, preview, or discussion of the design plan. There was no wax-up, no mock-up, and no real chance to pick a shade or shape. I was rushed through the procedure without being fully informed of the risks or how much of my healthy enamel would be removed. I then had to live with fragile temporary veneers for three weeks, experiencing tooth sensitivity, anxiety, weight loss, and regret. When I came back for the permanent veneers, they were completely wrong: yellow, wide, and unnatural. I was numbed and drilled before even seeing them, then expected to approve them on the spot. When I rejected them, the doctor only offered to remake them "one shade whiter and a little longer/skinnier," but again gave me no preview, no reference pictures, no tools to confirm the plan, and sent me home still scared and confused for another two weeks. After I strongly insisted, I was finally sent to the lab to pick a custom shade. The lab technicians were far more caring and helped me select a color from a completely different shade guide, far better than anything the doctor had suggested. It shocked me that if I hadn't complained repeatedly, I would have ended up with another failed set of veneers. Dr. Fukada even told me mock-ups are only for "full mouth" cases -- that is unfair and unacceptable. I don't understand how a dentist could disregard a patient's wishes so completely and strip away their right to make informed decisions. This process has left me with weeks of mental stress, tooth pain, regret, and a huge loss of trust. Even though we have a regular dentist, he wanted to get a 2nd opinion from an oral surgeon. Dr Emily is not an oral surgeon but he needed to see her first to get the referral. This dental office is located in the Aiea Medical building on Aiea Heights Drive right across the street from McDonald's/Aiea Shopping Center. For those of you who live in the area, you know what a bear it is to get into the parking lot & leave off busy Aiea Heights Drive. The parking lot is not very big & if that is full, there are more spaces in the building, but not a lot more. I've heard that parking is expensive here & sure enough, the sign by the parking ticket dispenser shows it's free for the first 1/2 hr & $2 for each 1/2 hr after that. Luckily since our appointment was early, when we pulled in, we found parking right away. Parking spaces are a little tight. When you leave, there's a cashier/lot attendant just around the corner from the elevator where you pay then head to your parked car. You will need the paid ticket to exit to insert in the machine. Once it's confirmed, the arm raises, & then you can exit but you have to pay first before you leave your parking spot. The dental office is on the 2nd floor. Small, but a neat waiting area with a TV. We completed some paperwork & waited just a few minutes before we were called in. Personnel were nice & efficient, not overly friendly, but pleasant. Shortly after we were seated, Dr Emily came in. She grew up here locally. My hubby discussed with her why he was there. Dr Emily was friendly, easy to talk to & listened carefully to my hubby's concerns. She was down to earth & seemed to genuinely care, even though he was not a regular patient. She asked some pointed questions & offered solutions & to make some calls on my hubby's behalf. I found that so reassuring that she would go above & beyond for us. From the time we got there until the time we left, 1 1/2 hrs had passed, most of the time talking with the dr. What I appreciated was, she didn't rush us & even answered some questions I had. We don't know if she had other appts after us, I'm sure she did for when we left, the waiting area was full. But the fact that she didn't rush us just to get to the next patient, impressed me. This was probably the only time we'll see her, but if I needed to go to another dentist in the future, she'd be at the top of the list. We appreciated her time, kudos to you Dr Emily Iyomasa & your staff. Two things that would prevent me from going back are - they do not validate for parking & that they charge a $56 cancellation fee if it is outside of 48 hrs - wow! The first time you cancel, they give you a pass because they understand unexpected stuff happens but then that's it. They make you sign a form so that you are aware of this. Parking cost us $4 for 1 1/2 hrs, not as bad as I thought.
