Dr. Morrow isn't - surprise, surprise! - a warm and feely Teddie (Theodora?) bear. Maybe especially when a third party is sitting in and taking notes. She is, however, a clear communicator who was comfortable going over the procedure, what it would entail, possible outcomes, and post-procedure steps and pain management. Twice. AND - she called me immediately after the procedure to let me know all was good and that i could head over to pick up my friend. Okay, maybe she is a warm and feely Theodora bear outside of MSKCC. We don't know. Oh, almost forgot to mention - she's a gifted cutter, which is what my friend really came for, anyway.

Her front desk staff is difficult to work with. They are unclear on whether or not they are in or out of network, unless you call your insurance and figure it out yourself. Their calculations for services with insurance and deductibles is not clear and they don't seem to want to take the time to explain it. If you are a busy person and cannot manage your business by phone and prefer email -- working with this office in the long term is difficult. Also, they try to negotiate/barter the price for certain services, and it undermines my confidence in the quality of their services as a result. I have mixed feelings about my experience at the clinic --each time is different and this is what causes my different reviews.

He's also a very compassionate, ethical and patient human being. His staff is terrific. What can I say, I look forward to going to the dentist. I know, I know." In the interim, I managed to dislodge some temporary caps that he had made for me. I thought I'd just pop into his office, and he'd glue it back in. As it turns out, more damage was done than I had realized. He had to spend a solid hour or more rebuilding the root canal work performed by another dentist. When I asked what the charge was for today's visit, he casually said, "No charge." Clearly, there are two very different Dr. Friedmans, and I'm most fortunate to have found the right one. He's moving to West 68th Street, and I have every intention of following him over there.

He has capabilities to perform other cosmetic dentistry (implants, etc) but I have not had experience with these services. All of his staff members are very friendly and nice to work with, especially his receptionist who works hard to find their patients appointment times that work for them. Additionally, when my insurance company has tried to charge me for extra services, they have worked on my behalf to get those expenses covered by the insurance company. They are located right next to the train station which is also very convenient. However, he sometimes smells of cigarettes which can be distracting and gross when his hands are in your mouth.
