All of a sudden I am paying higher than what I can buy at the retail level? I just reordered a Main halyard line, and then decided to investigate the line and other competitive pricing....I could have saved a great deal at West Marine which is disturbing because their pricing is outrageous. So, just saying......shop around before you buy. Will not recommend others to them anymore.

The folks there were just as friendly as can be, very knowledgeable about local fishing, and if you forgot it, they have it! As a non-resident I'm always happy to find a great bait store that's fair on price, (very reasonably priced) friendly folks, and above all, decent customer service, Hooked Up exceeds! I frequent Warwick, and I'm coming after y'all's secret fishing spots, and Hooked UP Bait and Tackle will be my new "local" bait shop. Family owned and operated. Has what I need, and they also went above and beyond to help put me on the fish. I'm not going to let y'all in on what they did to help me out, but I'm just certain that if you have a fishing need, they can facilitate! See you soon on my next visit!

This store is primarily for commercial fishermen and commercial fishing boat owners, where you can…read moreget pretty much anything and everything that the boat and crew might need while out at sea. They sell a bunch of different stuff, including safety equipment, boat cleaning items, outdoor gear for being out on deck, boat parts, etc., etc. Though geared towards the commercial market, *anybody* can shop there! Sometimes the door is locked and you have to ring the doorbell, but if they are open, they will let you in. And they have a lot of nice sweatshirts, T-shirts, hats, etc. that look good on everyone. And it's kind of exclusive, because you can't find that stuff anywhere else. You can also find a large selection of rain gear, boots, gloves, and other gear for being out in the cold and rain, and the prices are great! I consider it a hidden gem.

We don't post often, but when we find a great place - well, we need to share. We needed an impeller…read morefor our generator and also wanted to check out the consignment section of this shop, so we called in advance to check whether they stocked the impeller. The person who answered was very helpful, asked my name and said they'd set the impeller aside. We walked the 1.2 miles from town (it's what cruisers do) and got to the shop. We had our dog with us and asked if it would be OK to bring him in (it was about 85 degrees out and he was wiped). Not only could we bring him in, but they even provided him a bowl of water. The impellers were on the side, just like they said they'd be. We wandered around the store and it was a really cool place - lots of things you don't always see, and the consignment part of the store had some really neat things. After we paid for our stuff, we decided we wanted to cab it back. We called the cab company and they said they wouldn't allow dogs in their cabs. The owner's son said there was a pretty big storm coming, and he actually drove us back to the dinghy docks in his own car! I'm all about buying local and supporting local businesses. When you have customer service and friendliness like this, it's pretty much worth any price (and for the record, their prices were very reasonable). I would definitely recommend a visit, if just to check out the consignment area.
