Brought my shoes in to have the liner replaced. When I went back to pick them up, they gave them to me but they were never done. Told me to come back in two days. When I picked them up they were horrible!!! They used an off the shelf liner that they cut way smaller than the original liner, and uneven too. The liner had perforated holes all around the edges. Not the way shoes are when you buy them from the store. Since they were cut smaller, i could feel the uneveness on my foot. I told them i could not accept them. At least they gave me my money back. Bottom line... not the quality of work i would expect from a shoe cobbler. I do not recommend them! read more

I took my husbands Stacy Adams shoes to get the soles fixed. Picked them up and I looked at the one shoe sole and they had glue all on the sides and was not neat. After inquiring about the shoe he then said no charge. He said that the sole wouldn't bond together. But oh boy after I got home my husband looked at them and wow!!.....somehow the other shoe sole , which had nothing wrong with it, was missing chunks out of the sole. The owner never said anything about them being messed up. I guess if I hadn't asked to see them I would have paid for damaged shoes. My husband was very upset to say the least. I should have taken the hint when I made several trips to the store and they were not open. But yet the sign with the store hours said they are open 5 days a week. read more

This place is JOKE! 4-5stars? Must of had all family and friends write those reviews. I took a pair of shoes there as lower and the upper separated and needed to be glued. Simple right ? Not with this shop. They had my shoes for nearly 3 weeks and I finally got a call that they couldn't repair? WTH. I took to another repair shop, Ocala Country, they had them fixed in 3 days!! So far, all the reviews Ive read have been positive, so I took a project to them. Super friendly greeting, and wonderful price. I'll reserve final judgement for when I pick this up (will be updating next week), but I can't wait to refer people to this business. Took dress shoes to them because the soles needed to be glued. I was told they would be ready the following week. So went back the next week to pickup and to my surprise they were not repaired no phone call explaining why they just waited the full week for to come back to p/u and just said they couldn't fix them. So I left and threw my shoes in the trunk of my car. I forgot about them until I went to Stuart,Fl to visit someone and we went to shoe store/repair and decided to take my shoes inside to see what the shoe repairman thought and said that there was problem that he could fix them and to come back in few days to p/u. I was thrilled to find a well rated cobbler and took my soft sided golf travel bag in for repair. During its last transit to Florida, the carrier destroyed one of the wheel assemblies. I located a replacement wheel assembly from the bag's manufacturer and brought the travel bag and wheel assembly into the Crafty Cobbler at the end of March 2022. The job would entail drilling out four hollow rivets, remove and replace the wheel assembly and then install four new rivets. After prepaying $30 plus sales tax, I was told the bag would be ready for pickup on April 13th. On the 14th, I traveled about 40 minutes each way to the shop and found them closed, even though the sign on the door read that it was open for normal business hours. I started calling the shop every day that they posted they were open but there was no answer and their voice mail box was full so I couldn't leave a message. I took another couple of trips to find their shop closed during the posted normally open hours. Finally, I reached them by phone at the beginning of May and was told that the shop's phone is cordless and that the battery was probably dead so they never heard the phone and that illnesses caused them to be closed on occassion. I made the trip once again to retrieve the repaired bag. When they handed it to me, I quickly noticed that only two of the four rivets had been installed. They took the bag back and informed to come back in an hour. When I returned, I was handed the supposedly repaired bag with now only 3 rivets installed. I was through wasting my time and left with the bag. While placing the bag in my car, the newly installed 3rd rivet fell out and by the time I got home, one of the remaining two rivets fell out. I went to the local hardware store and purchased 4 pan head screws with locking nuts and repaired myself for about $1.80 I will not return to have any additional cobbling work done at The Crafty Cobbler. read more

I dropped off a shoe to be repaired a week ago. The lady inside discussed with me how they could fix the shoe and what they would do to repair it. I went to pick up the shoe today and it was not fixed the way they said it was going to be. Instead of replacing the broken eyelets, someone just did a half ass job trying to stitch them back closed. They had the shoe for a week, their employee did not read the ticket and when I came to pick it up all she did was have someone quickly do what was supposed to be done in the first place. The final straw was the fact that the lady who wrote up my ticket was more concerned about talking to a couple that was sitting in there shop petting their dog than dealing with me a paying customer. I felt that her concern was not genuine and she could have cared less. So, as they say, first impressions are everything and I was not impressed. I will not be back! read more

First of all, they don't stick to their posted hours of business. They say they open at 10:00, but many times I've gone to drop something off or pick up items and they were closed, even though it was many hours after 10:00. This is very unprofessional and frustrating. This has happened at least 3-4 times just this year. The final straw was how they "fixed" my torn purse straps. It looked like a little kid did the work. I was embarrassed FOR them when I picked it up. I'm done with them and they've lost a lot of business from me. read more

Very pleased! Every person there that I interacted with was pleasant. The shoe technician was very caring and careful about understanding the complicated alterations I need for my shoes due to my anotomical abnormality. The timeline was very quick and the price was less than I have paid elsewhere. The visual quality of the alterations is excellent. This shoe repair really fixes shoes the right way, making them look pretty close to new. I took in three different pairs: expensive cowboy boots, boat shoes, and cycling shoes. I traveled from Gainesville (an hour away) because the only shoe repair shop in town had abysmal reviews and the Crafty Cobbler had glowing ones. I had 6 pairs of shoes, 2 were slides that needed new foot beds, 2 were heels that needed new tips, and 2 needed reinforcement of the Velcro closure. I took them in at 1 p.m. on a Friday and figured I'd be returning the following week to collect them. Nope! The lovely woman at the counter spoke with the cobbler and said they could all be fixed within an hour and a half which would save me a trip back. All repairs were top quality, as were their professionalism, pride, and friendliness. All my shoes and heels were polished and I received a 20% discount for bringing in 6 pairs (10% is given for 3 pairs.) So, for less than 50 bucks I got 6 pairs of shoes I can wear again. Will definitely support this business for all my shoe repair needs. They're awesome! read more
