This is a nice place for drinks, food and a view. A friend and I stopped by around 4:30 in the afternoon on a weekday and found a table quite quickly. I was happy to see sanitizer on every table; that's a great way to make sure guests feel secure about the cleanliness (during covid19). Also, the menus are disposable. The service was friendly and efficient. We ordered some great beer - a tangerine beer and a coconut IPA, which is perfect for summer. I had the Cali salad bowl, which was fresh and tasty. It was raw and fresh. There are several other items on the menu, one of which is a poke bowl I almost ordered. This is a nice spot to eat and drink with a view of the water. I recommend stopping in if you're in Olympic Village. read more

The food was good but the service was quite bad. Lots of staff but they walk right by you if you needed anything, including the bill. We stayed because we are good honest people but could have easily walked out and no one would have known. Owners of this establishment take note. Your staff is costing you more than you think. read more

A few reasons why I go here: 1) to eat 2) to drink 3) to people watch. All are very good reasons why you should come here especially on a weekend. I've had many, many dinners and late night grubs here after dragon boat practice and although you can say they are on the pricier side, you do get fairly consistent service and food quality. If you love beer, you have endless (endless!) choices here. If you love wine, they have some selections but it's a beer house so that's expected. If you love pub food, they've got a good variety from greasy (pb + j burger, anyone) to healthy (yes, salads!). If you love brunch, hey they serve that on weekends, too. If you have a big group, this place has an insane amount of space! If you love people watching, grab a seat anywhere and enjoy the view. I recommend that you should always ask what's on tap and what the daily specials are. I recommend you try to make reservations as this place gets busy. I recommend you talk to the staff, they are quite friendly. I recommend you go to the washroom downstairs so you can peek at the barrels in the basement. read more

Vancouver blessed me with a hidden gem. Who knew Canada had a good craft beer scene? I had the six pack sampler that kept it local. I truly enjoyed each one. I don't want to describe each one because that's what the menus for. Now, let's talk about ambiance. It's an oversized barn that slightly reminds me of the Delirium bar in Brussels. Tons of beer, tons of satisfied people, and most importantly, good beer. If you get bored of Science World, check this place out. read more

I do a weekly morning run club with my church, and Craft is always a reliable spot to get some food/drinks for lunch after a solid 10k run. The staff's service is excellent. As you enter, the greeter informs you, in a very friendly and not rude way, that the maximum party size is 6 people per table in order to comply with BC COVID guidelines. Hand sanitizer is readily available at the entrance, at each table, and near the bathrooms as well. I was impressed by Craft's COVID system because this tells me that they are serious about the public's safety. Now onto the food...I ordered their crispy fried chicken sandwich w/ fries and a side of chipotle aioli sauce. 1) Crispy fried chicken sandwich (4/5) The make-up of this sandwich consisted of sweet bread buns, a small-sized fried chicken sandwich, hot sauce, maple syrup, slaw, and house pickles. I will have to say that the maple syrup is definitely what made the chicken sandwich taste so good. The only knock is that the size of the fried chicken sandwich was pretty small. 2) Fries (3/5) These are just your typical, average fries aka the fries were not too crispy and the seasoning did not make any impressions. 3) Chipotle aioli sauce (5/5) I would highly recommend this sauce as this really saved the fries. With many beer selections, average bar food, plenty of COVID-friendly seating, and a plethora of TVs to watch your favorite sports (NBA playoffs, let's goooo!), Craft is a great option to choose! read more

Nice location. The restaurant is quite large. Unfortunately there is no air conditioning and it was quite warm inside. The food was acceptable. Happy hour menu has one food item on special each day. Wish there were more options to choose from. Our server was pretty good and friendly. She did disappear for a while after we got our food. We had a big group of people and any parties of 8 or more, they charge 18% gratuity. It was very noisy which made it hard to have a conversation but we still had a good time. read more

Went to the Village location for this restaurant, based on the feedback from a business meal at the English Bay location. Ordered 4 beers and water for everyone at the table.the beers came rather promptly, with an apology on the water ostensibly due to lack of glassware, but with a promise of water shortly. After consuming the beers, and asking for water yet again, it was not until we asked for water to put into our empty beer glasses that we finally got some water to drink. My father was along, and he is at risk of seizures without enough water, and this was a concern for us as the day was quite warm. After the server poured the water, she left. I was holding my debit card at the time we asked for water the third time, but even after getting our glasses filled with the much needed water, it took another several minutes for her to return so that I could pay my tab. Unfortunately for the restaurant, the service was so severely lacking, I cannot recommend this location. They beer menu is extensive, and the beer is good. But with such lackluster, disinterested service, I felt robbed of what could have been a much nicer experienced. I have no desire to go back. read more

My friends and I have been to CRAFT Beer Market a few times and every time we go, the food, service, and overall experience has been amazing! The ambience was lively, warm and exciting. The staff were helpful and attentive. We really enjoyed the setting; the building is an ABSOLUTE BEAUTY! First things first, my boyfriend & I came on a Sunday night. It was fairly busy , but we got seated at the bar immediately. Our bartender (forgot his name) younger gentleman was an absolute PLEASURE. We were visiting Canada from Southern California & we had a whole conversation about it and how he likes San Diego! He was constantly checking on us , making sure our cups were always full & gave us recommendations of different beers they had on tap as well. He also gave me my first ever pickle shot as that was the shot of the night. It was delicious to say the least! They have lots of TVs around the bar which was great as we were watching NFL. Prices were great. We tried the pizza & it was delicious. I wish we had a place like this back home. But a huge kudos to the gentleman that helped us out! You were amazing!! My boyfriend & I definitely enjoyed our time there! read more

Terrible service and bad food. Not enough servers on a holiday Monday with dirty tables everywhere. I ordered the chicken fried sandwich, it was like 1/4 chicken breast and didn't even fill the bun. Not worth $23! so disappointed. Our server was lovey, btw, not her fault. But she was serving a huge section and trying to keep up with clearing tables while serving (where were the bussers to support her?!?!). I felt awful for her, especially with the cost of food and crappy portion size! Do better CRAFT. read more

Great location, fun atmosphere and patio is awesome! Food was pretty good. they have a decent happy hour menu that is even on weekends. Ordered the Hawaiian Ahi Tuna appy which was delicious! For lunch I ordered the Hawaiian Heat pizza. I love a good pizza, this one was ok. Ham is already a salty meat and this pizza had rock salt on the crust which was just too much salt. It overpowered everything else. Hubby had the chicken sliders, he liked them alot and the pork carnita tacos which he said had great flavour. Service was a bit dodgy. Craft is an enigma. It's supposed to be a beer centric restaurant but you feel like they don't care about beer. Staff don't know much about beer and the menu is merely just a long list of beer. It tried to cater to an adult beer loving clientele but you see a lot of family with unsupervised children running around. It also tried to create a food menu with a beer focus but the result (and taste) does not quite hit the mark. The restaurant is in the middle of the Olympic Village and is a historical building that used to be a salt factory. The decor is very photogenic and the location is very popular in the summer with people wanting to find a watering hole while walking along the sea wall. read more

On my trip to Vancouver this was the best place I had ate and drank while in Vancouver for my four day trip. My friend had been to this place before and said the service was the best she had ever seen that particular Sunday afternoon. I started off with a beer and the waitress helped me pick out one that would suite my preferences. It was interesting because I took the quiz online before going and it turned up the same exact beer that I really enjoyed. My friend opted for a cider since she is gluten free. Equally yummy! Upon ordering food I was in-between a salad and a sandwich. I settled on the CRAFT T.L.T. Sandwich: Seared Tuna served on toasted focaccia with pea shoots, fresh avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber and togarashi aioli. I am so glad I made that decision because the tuna sandwich was out of this world. The flavors came together perfectly and the tuna was cooked just right. I hate when tuna is dried out, cooked wrong, and or tasty super fishy. I got the yam fries as my side. Another delicious factor in my book. My friend suffered a gluten allergy (like I mentioned before) and she originally ordered something else. The waitress wasn't sure if they could accommodate her today due to some kitchen issue. My friend picked a flatbread as an alternative instead since she has enjoyed them here in the past. I had a bite of the flatbread and I wasn't a fan. However, I don't like gluten free items so no surprise here. I was too full from my meal but would have loved to try a dessert in a jar. I was told by my friend that it is so delicious. Especially the Butterscotch Budino. Maybe on my next trip to Vancouver. read more

This is a great place to hang out and relax with some friends. The place is big and is usually packed at night so try to make reservations or wait. For weekends, they are booked up for several weeks to over a month, especially during summer and December. The service is great. The last few times I've been there, the server was on top of things and the time for the food to arrive is pretty quick. The servers are friendly and fun. The hostesses are always smiling and outgoing. I do feel bad that they sometimes look a bit chilly even with a heater. I had the TLT ( tuna, lettuce and tomato ) and salmon soup on the side. It was delicious. The TLT was moist, flavorful and a little kick from the spices. The salmon soup had the right amount of spices and flavor. I'd definitely would order it again. My friend had the fish tacos. What can I say, those looked so good, I'd eat 5. The burgers are good but one time, it was a bit salty. However they did correct it so that was really good. They have a lot of different beers so you'll be able to find one that you like. Go for the flight so that you can try different ones. Bring friends and each get a flight with all different beers, that way you can try a lot. Only thing is you'll have to try to remember which ones you like and which ones you don't. Another time I went, it was for an event where we were upstairs. Servers were awesome and quick in helping us with drinks, food and just having fun. We had the upstairs to ourselves for the event which can accommodate a lot of people. We probably had at least 40-50 people up there. All in all, great place to relax after work. read more

I imagine that if I happened to live in Vancouver one day, this brewery would be one of my go-to spots. Failed to get an appetizer or any food but definitely gives me reason to revisit once I make my way back up to Vancouver again. I hear the nachos are something to talk about. The world beer flight is great for a first-timer. (Rule of thumb: Any first brewery visit, always do a flight. Gives you a good summary!) For you LA kids: This place reminds me of a cross between a barnyard (namely for the outside), a Costco warehouse & Angels brewery. Different company, Different reasons: - Come with a girlfriend, chances are you can have a good wing(wo)man once you're brave enough to talk to the guy with the nice eyes at the bar - Come/Meet with a date, it can be intimate, casual, and easygoing all in one - Come for a birthday in your 20s & I'm sure it'll be a good time. I live close to Craft and have been going for years. It's a spacious place and has a very good selection of beer. Nice to go for a Sunday brunch or weekend meal in general. I've never thought of reviewing them before as nothing really stood out. Having said that I've always noticed that their hosts and hostessed have never greeted me with a smile. They help you and when taking you to your table ask how your day was but the initial greeting is that they kind of don't care that you are there at all. The food is good pub food. The Hawaiian pizza is probably my fav. They put really big pieces of pineapple on it in rings, not just chunks so if you like pineapple on pizza you need to order this! My reason for writing this today is that we went there last night. Again, the chilly greeting.. I've yet to receive a welcome smile.. and both me and the person I went with got sick after two beer. It took a long time to get the first one, as the reason was they were changing the keg, but I believe that we likely got the last bits of the previous one and something was off. While their food is good and it is a very spacious place, good music too, I really don't think that they care about their customers. As I said, I've been going there for years, but that is likely my last time. I'd rather a restaurant with nicer staff that actually care that I'm choosing to be there. read more

Cool place with lots of Beer! Im not a "beer" person but this place is a cool hangout. Large restaurant, very cool decor / sports bar feel, and great location. Came here for a light lunch with a group of girls. My knowledge of beer is very slim but I like a beer here and there. I asked our server to recommend me a light beer, and she brought me a Stanley Park Amber Ale which I enjoyed. Food I wasn't too hungry and ordered a salad, I know boring!!! So I cant really say much about the food, my salad was good, but I have yet been to a place that screwed up a salad. But my group of girls enjoyed their meals. After walking around for awhile, my wife and I decided to drop in to Craft Beer Market. It's a big place inside! We were promptly attended to after we were seated and handed the drinks menu. There are quite a lot of beers to choose from, and, not being from Vancouver, we hadn't heard of most of them. We settled on a dark amber lager which was pretty good, but for round two I wanted to try something else. I asked our waitress if they had anything resembling bock beer. She wasn't sure what that was, so she asked the bartender. She returned with his reply that whatever they had was on the menu. Ok. fine. It only went downhill from there. Because it's a big place, and because their music was being played too loud, and because there was a good size crowd there ... communicating with wait staff was difficult: I couldn't hear her, and she couldn't hear me. By leaning in closer and pointing to the menu, we were able to order an appetizer to share called the Mezze Platter which consisted of falafel, avocado toast, veggies and hummus. I wanted to like it. It sounded like a light but pleasing snack to go with our beer. If you look at the picture you will see the problem: The falafel was overcooked and borderline scorched, while the toast was flat out burnt. Now, toast covered with avocado is far from fine dining, but in this case it wasn't even good pub food ... unless you enjoy avocado topped charcoal briquettes. read more

How do I know this place? Not from Yelp or Google this time. My company had X'mas party or Beer Event at Craft Beer for last few years. However, I didn't make it. One of my hubby's friend asked us out on hockey night. I believed Craft Beer Market would be good place for beer and watch hockey. They don't take reservation on Saturday and we went there at 6.30 to wait for the table. During an hour wait time, we got free appy (pizza) from the hostess. It's spacious and décor quite cool! The assortment of beers and samplers are great! We ordered 2 sets sampler. It's good to try all out. His friend order Bacon & Blue cheese burger, regular pub food. This place is huge! and right in Olympic Park. Got here around 5 pm on a Friday and there was already a wait. Heads up: FOOD is OVERPRICED! Their beer selection was heavy - wish there was a way to try them all. They have flights, but it's a pre-built flight. Which is super lame because their selection is whatever. Give us the option to build our own flight. Their service is on point, very attentive! We ordered: 1. Chicken wings - this was not 1lbs. Fucking rip-off. DO NOT GET THE WINGS. For the cost, these were the worst wings I have ever had. Tiniest shit ever. 2. Mac n Cheese, were okay. The flavor of cheese masked everything in the dish. It just tasted like macaroni with cheese. Nothing to compare too. 3. Ribs and Chicken dishes, that was ordered by brother and boyfriend. This place would be better if they did not overprice everything. If they allowed us to build our own flights, I guess that's my American in me asking for that. read more

A friend an I were out on main St one night when we decided to choose this spot for a bite to eat. As it's name predicts, this place is pretty big on beer, and it nicely serves plenty of local brands I'd heard of , and many I had not. We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated, but once we we're, our server was always nearby to fetch our food/drink orders. I ordered the Gaucho Chicken Flatbread ($17.50) which came with cheesey chi Ken and a nice vegetable mix. The Flatbread also came topped with a creamy Chipotle sauce. The chicken was better than I was expecting from a beer joint, but other than that, the meal was pretty average. The main thing that bothered me was that the meal was pretty lukewarm when I received, and by the time I was finishing, the chicken and bread had grown cold which was not a pleasant taste. The best thing about this palace was the attentive service, but other than that, the meal was quite subpar and a bit overpriced. I usually try not to mention price in my reviews, but when I see pretty basic pasta dishes for $20+, it pushes some of my many buttons. I'd prefer trying to find a better spot to get a quick bite to eat with a nice drink after this meal. read more

Came for a late work Christmas gathering last week. Close to twelve of us. Happy hour at 4. We reserved a table, but was warned that if we didn't show up on time, they'd have to give our table up. It's a Thursday at 4pm, there's plenty of seating even if we didn't grab a reso. Pros: - extensive beer and wine menu. Extensive - massive beer hall, doubt there's ever a time where a wait is necessary for a table. - friendly server Notes: - bathroom is accessible by stairs and wheelchair lift on one side - food is on the pricier side, common bar menu items - people usually go in large groups, servers can get busy - parking is street metered in the village, free parking can be found around 3rd/4th ave, around Ontario/Quebec St. read more

When I want a salad, I will not usually pay for one for the price that restaurants charge because I can make that at home. BUT, I will pay to eat the taco salad here. I can not find another quote like it in this entire city. I have tried. They don't use iceberg lettuce either, it's real spinach and the crispy friend taco shell that comes with it is TO DIE FOR. Surely had my doubts upon entering this generically named, behemoth of a restaurant slash bar. However, I shook my thoughts that this place would be too touristy and overpriced, and instead just enjoyed it for what it was. Cool wooden beams everywhere (the building used to be a salt mill?), an ungodly amount of different beers on tap (the WiFi password is "100beers"), and pretty nice views of the Olympic Village plaza, giant bird sculptures, and the charm of False Creek at sundown. Their Monday special was any pasta or flatbread for $11.99, and the portion of mac 'n' cheese that I ordered was certainly satisfying. In addition to that, flights of 6 4-oz. beers (all from the region, or you could choose the "world" variety) were only $8. Pretty solid deal overall if you ask me, and our server was very nice and professional. Great place to come with a big group! read more

I've been meaning to try this place for ages now and finally went yesterday. I loved the ambiance of the place. The beer options was mind bogglingly long.... It took me forever to decide on a drink seeing how they had a $5 special on BC beers last night. The Gypsy Tear was pretty good :9 However, I wasn't a big fan of the buffalo wings. I think I prefer dominoes. I don't think I'll ever order the poutine with the extra pulled pork ($3h) again. The gravy was overly salty. There's not enough cheese curds or pulled pork. The fries felt a bit soggy The butternut squash ravioli was meh. I like the ones I get from Cactus more. I feel like for the price I'm paying at craft beer, cactus gives you a better deal with the full shrimps. In addition the pasta was a bit doughy and undercooked. The flavours were good, just not executed properly. I like how it's topped with sunflower seed though... To give it a nice extra crunch. The dessert in a jar was pretty darn good..... If only the earnest icecream hadn't melted so much by the time it got to our table and I wasn't so darn full by that time.... I think I would have enjoyed it. Service was good. Anyways.... Next time I come..... No appetizers or mains for me. Just beer and dessert, and I think I'll be satisfied. read more

Happy hour prices for pints are good but the prices for food is really pricey for bar food. For $10, we literally got one pickle, slivered up and battered up and deep fried.
