The customer service at Craft is nothing today that the poor reviews indicate. The staff were all very helpful and even helped me work with my rental car timeline due to a busy travel schedule. They provide text updates with a link to the total estimate (in the event that things are changing). I've taken multiple vehicles here ranging from major repairs to simple body work. They always repair them very nicely and I have zero complaints. The quality of work is five stars and the value is evident. read more

Deer slammed into the front passenger door of my truck. Significant dent and door sprung near top. Craft replaced/painted door, and at my request did additional paint work painting top of both front fenders, hood, and 'A' posts. Blending in paint was perfect. Not cheap, but with what a new truck costs my older one looks GREAT! read more

If you want to be aggregated, this is the place. Car was estimated October 2022. They ordered parts and set appointment to repair February 6, 2024. Only a $8,000 repair. Promised repair by March 1st. USAA paid them in advance. Five broken delivery promises later, no car no phone call. USAA says they will investigate for the second time. Offered to pick up car with tow truck, my expense, and take to my Audi dealership body shop. USAA will investigate.. I'll keep you posted as this saga unfolds read more

Wow reading all these customer comments makes this a scary place to even consider takeing your vehicle to!!

I don't know what has happened at Craft Collision but the customer service is horrible!!! They don't provide updates on your service and you have to call them to get updates constantly!! Don't go there!! They had my car for 22 days and still did not fix an item I told them about that was damaged!!! read more

I had an accident in Georgia. My insurance agent recommended driving my car to Craft Collision on Graves Mill Road in Lynchburg because that is the only repair shop they use for their personal vehicles. I'm glad that I followed his recommendation! My car was repaired in a much shorter period of time than the shop in Georgia offered, and it was ready on the exact day that Craft said it would be ready. I felt like I was driving a brand new car when I left Craft Collision. All seams lined up perfectly. The doors, hood, and hatch closed perfectly. The paint matched perfectly. Shana, the Office Manager at Craft, was very helpful the three times that I visited Craft. She provided all of the information that I requested, and more, including updated detailed printouts of the work being done. When I called she got me answers, instead of merely switching me over to someone else. Gavin, the Repair Manager, called to give me updates on the repairs. He explained that their work is guaranteed for five years. These two people were very conscientious about providing good customer service. Attached are before and after photos of my car. I highly recommend Craft Collision on Graves Mill Road in Lynchburg. read more

First let me tell you Chris is absolutely worthless to talk to because he just ignores calls or never calls you back. I stayed in my rental car and called the number and asked to speak to him. With him standing right at the desk I was transferred and it ended going to voice mail. I then walked in and he stated he was in the back going over someone's repairs with the technician. He completely lies to the customer but try's to give you a good feeling by telling you they're going to take care of everything for you. I got rear ended and have a Camry with blind spot monitors. I told him driving over to Craft I got the warning the blind spot monitor gave an alert that the system failed. He stated it'll be fixed. 2 weeks later I get it back and drive away. Next day the blind spot monitors fail again. I call him and a week later he returns my call stating he'd have to send it to Toyota. Okay so it goes to Toyota for a day and they call me stating they cannot fix the sensor because of damage so Craft needed to order a new one. Chris in his wisdom calls me and states they finally fixed it and it was a matter of 2mm of damage to the bumper that they were able to fix. So I take my car and 4 days later same failure message comes up. I ended up calling my insurance company and tell them I'd like to by pass Craft and bring it directly to the Toyota dealer. I get the approval. It goes to Toyota and the same broken sensor that Craft Collision Center stated to both myself and my insurance company they replaced. The Toyota tech stated he had marked the bad one so Craft would replace it. So now Toyota has issued a bill to Craft Collision Center of $1300 and my insurance company is working to get them black listed. I still have noise coming from somewhere in my car that Toyota is going to be looking at and if it's part of the collision Craft Collision Center will be fitting the bill plus a rental car. Maybe Chris will stop lying and cutting corners or they'll just keep paying out. read more

The repair work was done well. However, the customer service is a joke. I agree with other comments about Chris. He lied to me about when my car would be completed and would not return my calls. He lied to me again about when to bring my car back to the shop for some additional work he said would be completed after the paint job they did had time to set. When I took it back I was told they didn't have time that day and to bring it back another day. We live nearly 20 miles from the shop and couldn't keep returning to be told they didn't have the time to do the work they had promised. We never got any kind of apology for our inconvenience even after it took 2 weeks longer than promised to get it back the first time. read more

Fair priced for my windshield replacement however they did not clean up after themselves. There was no glass in my vehicle before the window was replaced and now my seat is covered in little shards of glass! read more

After almost three months of them ordering wrong parts or forgetting to order them in the first place, my vehicle is "ready". PATHETIC!!! Radiator support painted in vehicle, bumper not aligned, headlights set too far in, paint imperfections obvious and plentiful. I'm pretty sure I could have received a better job from the trade school with teenagers! It'a a shame these guys can even afford to keep the lights on with stuff like this. Please go to another shop! read more

Took my daughter's car here to get fixed and they ended up increasing the estimate so much that the insurance company totaled out the car. I purchased the car in the unfixed state so that we could just go get it fixed on our own. During that time... The windshield was broken during the start of the repair which ended up not being completed. My insurance company didn't want to pay for this added cost because it happened there and I certainly didn't so they did work with me and I end up paying $70.99 for part of the windshield. Apparently, received a deal but seeing as how we have full coverage insurance and we didn't have a broken windshield when it arrived there I didn't feel I should have to pay anything. Clearly it is what it is and I paid it to retrieve the car. When we went to pick up the car a light had been left on and the battery was dead and the radio no longer worked. It was just dead. We take it back today and after trying to figure out why the radio is dead the conclusion was that the radio just died and it was just a coincidence. It was noted while we were there that the power/volume button was loose and it wasn't loose when we dropped it off. A little while later she starts the car and the radio is now on with NO power/volume controls and it's quite loud. So my daughter is driving around with a loud radio that she can't turn off or down. I call back to Craft Collision and the story is that it's a strict policy that employees aren't allowed to touch the radio so it couldn't have been them. Bottomline..I'm calling my insurance company to report this vendor and I'm paying out of pocket to replace a radio. Seems shady to me!! read more

If i could give them 0 stars i would. they took over a month to fix my car that only needed a new bumper, headlight, and tire fender. it doesn't take over a month to do this!! I'm even more upset because they said it would be done 15 days earlier than it actually was. All in all, unless a insurance company makes you go here don't bring your car here read more

They fixed the car but found that the switch to the window wouldn't work any longer. Since it was winter I didn't discover this for a few weeks and they refused to even look at it to assess if they were responsible. They said I'd have to pay someone else to diagnose it. Same window they worked on during the same time and they say it's just a coincidence and likely just died from being an old switch. This is a 2016 car. Boo. read more

We were absolutely disappointed by Craft Collision Center. We brought our 2016 Jeep Cherokee to them to get a dent in the passanger's door repaired. We had 2 issues with them: a) When we picked the car up after repair, we identified some new scratches on the left quarter panel that must have happened on their parking lot. We immediately complained but they refused any responsibility although it was clearly proven by pictures they made when we dropped it off. Even the Location Manager was very unfriendly and didn't even want to go over the pictures with us to find a solution. Absolutely inacceptable behaviour! b) The quality of the work was also inacceptable. All they had to do is painting two doors. On both doors I could find bubbles and lints in the coating all over the repaired locations. We had to bring it there a second time to get this fixed, but there is still a minor bubble visible. What noobs! Our conclusion: NEVER AGAIN! read more

5 delays due to lack of follow through. I would have given them 0 stars. Recently my wife's 03 Honda CRV had a run in with a Deer. which caused minor damage to both edges of passenger side, A simple repair, Now doors are all new looking while the rear and front quarter panels and top section are dull, A very large Dent was missed between the 2 Plastic door panels as well as 1 on the passenger door, They released the vehicle with 1 plastic panel loose which they did glue. A very shoddy group of workers indeed and after another incident of 3 years ago this is the final time for Craft Collision Center. Fixed my car in a timely manner, stuck to the estimate, and when I found an issue after I got home I brought it back and they fixed it free. Keep in mind people are more likely to leave a review after having a bad experience so take reviews with a grain of salt. read more

Went with a friend to get his car looked at. The estimator was extremely rude, and when I asked a simple question..instead of considering a future potential customer the rep responded with..is this your car or his in an extremely sarcaatic insulting tone of voice. I understand you want to speak with the cusyomer, but that doesnt necessitate an abrupt manner and sarcastic attitude with anyone. He wasnt professional and instead seemed to be bothered by having to do his job. read more

I had my Honda repaired by Craft Collision after hitting a deer. They were a great help coordinating with my insurance company, however I was not impressed with their body work. The curve of the hood doesn't match the fender and the radiator (or transmission cooler, I can't remember which it is) is a different color from the original I've also had to return the car twice to correct problems with the repairs. read more

my car was hit and ran so i brought it to craft collision with knowledge that my headlight needed a new assembly and told them this and for 5 weeks now it has been in their shop 3 of which i have gotten a text that it was nearly complete then when i called to see when i could pick it up on Friday i was told i had to wait till Monday waiting for parts. it started with all we have left is the absorber "everything else is fixed just waiting for Acura dealership to get us the absorber" i called on Monday night asking where's my car, is it done, they hang up on me after putting me on hold for 3 seconds and then Wednesday i had to call to get an update on my car again because it was now 2 and a half weeks since i was told my car was almost complete. it's now three weeks since i was told my car was almost complete and i just got another message i have to wait another weekend because they don't have the part i told them for a fact was needed which was a headlight assembly is the same part that was "already fixed" is now the part they are still waiting for 5 weeks later. i get you can't rush some things but the customer service is awful. been hung up on 3 times waiting for them to get brett the manager. nobody keeping me up to date on where they were actually at with my car. when i went in two different times thinking my car was done because that's when i was told it was to pick it up, neither time did i see my car in the garage nor was the manager there on a Monday and a Wednesday at 2 and 3 o'clock. they fix cars well but the quality and speed isn't there when it comes to customer service and communication read more

If customer service, quality work, and an overall good experience are important to you then do NOT bring your car to Craft Collision Center. I brought my car in for an estimate and the shop ended up losing my spare key in the process. I went in to try and walk through what happened with the staff and explain to them that my car is a keyless start so if the key was somewhere misplaced in the car then the car would be able to start regardless. That is not the case. I immediately contacted them after I realized they only had the keys in the car I left in there and not the spare key I had given them. After speaking with the tech who was unable to remember the incident I spoke to the manager who then proceeded to yell at me that "we don't have your key we never had your key." I explained they had to have my key when I first gave them the car. He then proceeded to say "well maybe your car was unlocked." I explained that I just wanted to figure out what happened to my keys and he continued to yell "we don't have your keys." I left there defeated and discouraged. I have never been treated so poorly by a shop, especially a manager, in my entire life. Especially as a woman I have never been in a situation where a male manager has used aggression and intimidation as a way to take control of a situation and discourage a customer from figuring out a solution. I've never had a manager yell at me without any regard to common courtesy or respect. Most managers want to ensure that the customer has a positive experience and will try their best to somewhat redeem the situation, even if they cannot fix it. Not Craft collision center. If this post can save one person the headache and stress it has caused me then it is worth it. Please save your money and take your car to any other shop in town. I promise you won't regret that. read more

Worst experience with an auto body place in my life. Guy with no insurance backs into me just leaves a small ding. I file uninsured motorists claim with my insurance. I had a 2 year old Dodge Challenger R/T maybe 32K book value when this happened. They only allow like $150 to fix it and talk me into using Craft as their preferred shop. They did a terrible job on the small repair but they painted another car next to mine without covering it. I had clear coat overspray over the entire vehicle and they just left it out for me to pick up. When I asked what happened, they said "Thats the way it was when you brought it in" I threatened to sue, weeks and weeks of run around, They finally buffed it out which reduced the life of the paint on my car by years. My damage was like a 1" ding in front fender. They had paint overspray all the way back to covering my rear bumper. They are not qualified to paint any cars worth over $200. They will destroy an expensive auto and then call you names. The Geico reps that try to talk you into using Craft are as crooked as Craft is. read more

I hit a deer on November 2 and had to leave town on December 12. Craft stated that it should've been ready before this time, so I was gracious with them and told them it was fine - I will just fly home and get my car when I return to town in January. They graciously stored it for me for three weeks (which I appreciate). However, I emailed Chris two days in advance of my return to town, as he told me to in order to be sure that my car would be cleaned up and ready for me to pick it up. I returned on a Sunday, which meant they were closed, so I was told it would be ready to be picked up at 8 a.m on Monday. So I get to the shop Monday morning at 8 and my car was not ready - I was told it would be ready this afternoon and they could give me a ride to wherever I needed to go. Which again was helpful, but I was left without a car for the day so there were many things I needed to complete that I could not. Then I ended up getting rides from friends to get from place to place - and since I did not receive a call by 3 p.m on Monday (they close at 5) I asked a friend to drop me off. Turns out my car was ready - just someone had to go pick it up. So I spent 2 extra hours at Craft on that Monday to get my car which should've taken 15 minutes tops. Also, I had to bring the car back to the shop a half hour later because the alarm kept going off for no reason due to what I was told was a "short" in the hood sensor. And on top of that, had to get multiple rides from friends to get to and from the dealership to finally get my car by 5. read more

I can honestly say they did a great job on the car yet I will never go with them again. I'm interested in honesty and quality help and clarification. Craft offered poor customer service when questions and clarification were needed. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone because they lost the trust factor. James is unaware of what is happening at the shop and offers no help when you contact him. This was my experience. read more

In repairing a Honda towed there by the insurance company as a direct repair program partner they took longer than normal to complete the repair, added 4000 $ to the initial repair estimate as a supplement, and during one conversation with the manager acted rude and arrogant. In addition they removed the windshield ,which was required to do the repair , but then they broke it and they broke a door latch. They did pay for both things but that was after I complained to the SW Virginia director of my insurance company. I am unsure of the quality of the windshield replacement and very concerned about the safety of the vehicle now. I only learned about the direct repair program after this accident but my advice to anyone who is driving a car- familiarize yourself with the program. It is controversial and the shop and your insurance company are working together and I do not think it is in your best interests. This has been a sad and upsetting and extremely frustrating, anxiety provoking experience for all concerned. My advice - take your business elsewhere. PS I only gave it one star because I could not post without a rating. My rating does not include even one star. read more

They are very very professional at Craft Collision and Craft Service. I have been a dedicated customer there for years, all types of service and they have been just as dedicated to me. The service manager of service takes care of any issues i have and is quick. The Collision center is very nice and professional, thorough and after learning they had my van scheduled to be out for 2 weeks and it was my primary method of transportation and as young mother of 3 little ones including a newborn, they had my van out within a couple of days without sacrificing quality. I REALLY REALLY appreciate them and their service. And always with a smile. Thanks guys and gals!!!! read more

Highly satisfied with the quality of the repair, but the customer service was subpar. Made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience for them and they took my side view mirror without permission. I'd come in on a Wednesday to get an estimate/figure out when I could have the side view mirror replaced. They were nice enough to detach it from my car for me, but when I came back on Friday I'd left the part in my backseat. Come to find out hours after I'd left that they'd fished though the backseat of my car to keep the part. It'd be one thing if they'd asked me/I'd signed something unknowingly authorizing them to keep the damaged mirror(mind you, the glass was not damaged - I suspect they wanted to reuse the actual mirror), but they just kept it and acted like it was nothing. I went back on Monday to retrieve the part, and the receptionist and the auditor acted like I was crazy for wanting the part back. They even went as far as to say "I'm surprised they still had it". Well, I'm surprised you thought you were going to get away with stealing my property. Anyway, it was a fast repair, but after my experience I'll tell people to go elsewhere. read more
