The chicken fried turkey was excellent. The squash casserole was delicious as well. The chicken pot pie tasty but I felt it needed more chicken. The waitress and the cashier were super nice and friendly. I would have given 5 stars but the bathroom was out of toilet paper and it all needed to be cleaned. read more

Been here many times and used to really enjoyed it. However, the last few times we've been here, it's gotten worse and worse. Either it's super dirty or they don't have what you want or, more recently, they have you sit there and wait before anyone comes to check on you. In our case, no one ever did so after 15 minutes, we left. Cracker Barrel, at least in Lafayette, is really going downhill and they either need to change management or just shut the place down altogether. read more

This will more than likely be my last trip to this cracker barrel. The service was some of the worse I have ever experienced. Our waitress took our order and brought our drinks then vanished. Once the food came she gave us the check and was gone for good. We even had to get our own to go container. I realize I shouldn't have expected much, but this was really pitiful. The reason i gave two stars is that the food was actually decent. If you want horrible service and decent food this cracker barrel is for you. read more

We eat here all the time as a family. We love the store and also love the food. Our food is always great, and you truly cannot beat the price. The service can be a little iffy but you just can't beat the price for the servings and food taste. read more

The service was awful and the food was terrible... first when we were served the presentation of the plate was not pleasing.. the bacon was unevenly cooked, the eggs were not prepared as requested and the pancakes were horrible along with the grits.. I ended up returning most of the food.. and yes, manager charged me separately for eggs that I barely ate along with bacon as well.... Zero stars if I could. Horrible service and attitude from hosts and servers. Server said there's only one cook in the kitchen to serve an entire Cracker Barrel?? That doesn't add up. Gave us an attitude because we asked for the missing food from all three of our breakfasts'. Don't waste your time. There's plenty of other better Cracker Barrel's. Friend and I ordered two simple breakfast dishes of eggs, sausage and hash browns. Took over 52 minutes for our meal to come out. I know because I got the text from them saying our table was ready and had an idea when we ordered. Our waitress never checked in on us during that time and coffee was never once refilled. read more

Dinner was subpar. We had to ask for gravy after we were served our chicken fried chicken and a refill of water never came. Their glazed chicken tenders were tasty, however they were extremely tough and chewy. Kids meals clearly state milk is included as a beverage yet we were charged for two. After pointing it out to our server, she got the manager who realized the mistake and told our server to remove the charge. She came back with only one removed; several minutes later she made the second adjustment. If you're in a hurry I would stay clear of this restaurant. read more

This is a convenient stop right off the interstate. Plenty of gas pumps outside. The restrooms only had a couple of stalls but were reasonably clean and up to date. There is a good size store with plenty of drinks and snacks. I would definitely stop here again. read more

The food was decent....that is the last good thing I have to say about the place. Waitress made two visits, one to take the order, and one to drop off the food and check. Never received refills, never asked if there were any issues, etc. Highly disappointed. Had not visited a Cracker Barrel since I was a kid, and it will be a long time before I go back. Gross! Our last time here! We travel a lot! Eat at Cracker Barrels often..first time I will mark one off list! We got raw sausage patties....burnt hamburger steak....and the sawmill gravy had a strange taste that we could not put our finger on...ordered eggs over easy....the yellows were more like hard and no runny yellow at all....asked for crisp bacon...ha! Horrible. Absolutely horrible. If I could possibly give a restaurant 0 stars I would in this case. First of all the service was terrible. It took an hour and a half for our food to get there and they changed our waiters at 1 point, almost seeming to forget we were even there. They forgot several parts of our order. And the food. I haven't even begun to describe the food. The french toast tasted horribly bland and dry, the syrup was cold, the bacon was cold, and the dishes were filthy! Also having to do with the sanitation, at the beginning of the meal they wiped our table off with a towel they dropped on the floor. RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR EYES! And the bathrooms. Oh, the bathrooms. Contrary to what was said on the sign outside the bathroom door they obviously didn't strive to keep the bathroom clean and didn't pay any attention to the customer's requests. It's reeked so badly I got out of there as fast as as my little legs could carry me. Overall, horrible. Although what's strange is it didn't reflect any of the characteristics of the cracker barrels in texas, which are usually rich with their country pride and hospitality.
