I love going to Island Pacific and saw that there was a seafood boil place next door so I wanted to try it out, and I would say that it was good. I don't know about life changing but it was definitely super worth, good bang for your buck!! No one was there when we went on a Thursday night. We ordered the Fisherman's Half Bounty, and it was such a good portion between two people. I would even say you can share between 3 people depending on your appetite (and the sides you get). We got the crab mentality sauce ?? or whatever their house sauce was called and it was interesting. Definitely tasted unique and it took me a while to like it but I definitely did like it. The mild wasn't bad, still a little kick but I think I'd prefer medium next time. The decor is super cute and I loved the little vibes. Very lowkey and the server was nice. Overall I'd come back, I definitely want to try some other flavors. Also, I wouldn't order the mango float again. It was just some mango icecream over sprite and we personally weren't that big of fans. Cajun fries were delicious. Anyways, we will definitely be back to try some other sauces! read more

Portions are solid, the sauces hit exactly the way they should, and the quality is noticeably better than a lot of other boil spots. It's definitely a dependable place when you're craving a good seafood spread. The only thing keeping it from being a full 5 stars? They use regular corn on the cob instead of sweet corn. For a seafood boil, sweet corn makes a huge difference -- it absorbs the seasoning better and adds that perfect balance of sweetness with the spice and butter. The corn they use isn't bad, but switching to sweet corn would elevate the entire experience and take their boil to the next level. You add more than one too! And they offer sauces too!! Delicious! A cute, comfortable dining room with booths and table/chairs. Light gray surfaces reminiscent of weathered wood. Big ropes, nets, and wooden sea creatures in nets. The music is a collection of upbeat, cheerful pop top 40. It all comes together really well, in my opinion. I was so proud to suggest this new seafood restaurant Crab Mentality, a part of the newly opened Filipino owned, Island Pacific Supermarket, located in Los Angeles! The GLAR (Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors) was looking for a restaurant to highlight Philippines as a retirement and investment option and after going through 4 locations, this came the perfect choice! Location was perfect, just a few minutes from the Philippine Trade and Investment Office, it was easy for our guest speaker, Com. Eric Elnar. Ample parking and its free, next to the supermarket that carried a lot of fresh seafood, meat and produce. Food was freshly made and reasonable and the open Kitchen was very clean and efficient service plus the place was spacious good for 40-50 seats and take out counter was snappy too. the Manager and his crew were very friendly, accommodating and gave us personal service! The fisherman's catch has a pound of shrimp, a pound of mussels, some sausages, some potatoes and corn. We chose the cajun sauce. This was really filling for 2 people. The seafood pasta looked promising but was kinda bland (reason for not giving 5 stars). We had soda with our food. There is no fountain here. They give you bottles and cans. Service was quick and helpful. We asked for a bag to take the rest of our boil to go and the waitress bagged it up for us. Overall we were happy with our food and service. read more

I love love loved my experience in this restaurant! We were craving seafood but was also in a time crunch and we wanted to get a swift meal in! I called the restaurant and had asked if they were busy and they mentioned that there should be tables available within the 20 minutes we arrived. I then asked how long it would take to cook the meal upon order and they said it would take about 20 minutes. I asked them if they would be able to accommodate us ordering ahead and she said she would try since it had gotten busy with orders from the store and takeouts. I said that would be fine. When we got there, Carmina, the crew I spoke to had asked if was our party and she said we could sit down and they would get to us. In less than a few minutes, she had prepped our table, and had brought out the food we ordered! The ambiance of the place was good and clean. Carmina, had accommodated us and was very friendly to our group. She made sure that we were assisted and had been very friendly to our group! We ordered the CM Family Bundle 1 and this bundle had a Fisherman's Bounty (Full),, 1 Aligue Crab Rice, 1 Garlic Noodles, 1 Chicken Tenders and Fries and Drinks. We did also order their mango float and got some drinks. CM Family Bundle 1 - 10/10 Fisherman's Bounty - we did CM Special Sauce, Mild. It was so good and flavorful! The seafood was very well cooked and it all tasted so amazing. Aligue Rice - it was also very flavourful but since most of the meal was already flavorful, it tasted better when we had added some more white rice in it. Garlic Noodles - DELICIOUS!!!! We loved this so much. It was a bit oily but I felt like it was still delicious eitherway. Fries & Tenders - we loved the dip this came with. The fries were well cooked and was a neutral taste to the meal. The chicken was also delicious not too oily. Mango Float - 10/10 typically, we would expect this to be mango drink with ice cream but was pleasantly surprised with what we got. It was sprite with mango ice cream and I knew from spotting the ice cream that it would be very good. And it was! The ice cream didnt taste artificial at all and the drink just made sense. The CM Tea and Passion Green Tea were also very good drink alternatives if you dont want soda! The meal was so good we had started eating before we even got to taking photos. Me and my husband love this cozy and amazing seafood place. They have incredibly good seafood boil within an affordable price. Their service is top notch. Our server Carmina is a ray of sunshine. Wow wow wow!!! Located inside the brand new Island Pacific Market food stalls. Our group did the ordering but basically we had the fisherman's bounty I believe which had everything. The best part were the Alaskan crab legs which were the biggest I've ever had at these types of establishments. And they come pre-cut so it makes it so much easier to get into. Their prices are also much more reasonable than other crab boils. The only complaint I have would be that the potatoes were not as soft as they should be, could use a few more minutes.
