Tino and his team were great to work with. Very professional, flexible, and quality work. We used them for the inside and outside of a house we were remodeling and they did an amazing job not just with paint but some demo removing wall paper and chair rails, other drywall work, wood repairs and other miscellaneous things. They also did a great job painting the old metal fence around the house. His quotes, change orders, and invoices were electronic and streamlined making it easier to keep up with and have copies of everything. UPDATE (response to your post): Tino, you knew I tried to paint and gave up and called you for help, you could have updated your contract. I'm not trying to getting out of paying for proper work, as you are attempting to make me look like. I told you I needed this fixed, not painted over. And you did not even do 2 coats NOR sanding, like your promised. The workmanship of your employees was terrible. Cutting corners wherever possible, instead of doing the work right. I also texted you to come fix this, and you were unresponsive. I would NOT recommend this work to anyone. As a painter, you should take pride in what you do, not cutting corners by painting over someone's mistakes. That's why I i hired you, to fix what was wrong and to continue the job. But, after seeing that your guys just painted over the, without any communication of needing to fix it to make this right, I asked you not to come back. You also treated me poorly when I asked you to paint my stair banister, even though I said I would pay you. This is terribel business! *************************** Unprofessional Work and Broken Promises - Avoid CR SocalPaints I hired CR SocalPaints (operated by Celestino "Tino") to paint the baseboards and trim in my home, and it was a highly disappointing and frustrating experience. Before hiring Tino, I had already done the extensive prep work of sanding and priming the first floor myself. Tino assured me he would complete the job properly. Instead, he cut major corners and was untruthful about the work performed: Downstairs: He claimed he applied two full coats of paint. In reality, he applied only one thin coat of semi-gloss, leaving behind terrible, heavy brush ridges and a highly textured, unprofessional finish. Upstairs: He claimed his team hadn't started upstairs yet. However, they had secretly gone up and applied a single coat of semi-gloss directly onto unprimed trim surfaces. Because they completely skipped the primer stage, the fresh paint has zero adhesion and peeled right off the baseboards like a sticker when painters tape was removed. Property Damage: Because of the rushed single coats and improper taping, fresh paint peeled off to the bare wood along the bottom edges, and dried paint drips were left pooling at the floor line. When I reached out to confront him about these issues, I got nowhere. We ended up having to buy an electric sander, re-sand his entire messy job, patch the peeled areas, and re-prime/re-paint the house ourselves to fix his mistakes. read more
