Chopping block was the first to respond and the first one who made time to come meet in person. Kyle came out and was beyond respectful, motivated, and full of knowledge about the tasks at hand. He provided a highly competitive and honest quote, so I committed and gave them the job. Boy, was I impressed. He was on time, full of enthusiasm, communicated well, and worked extremely hard. It's great to see great work being done. I was impressed. He's a local guy who will go the furthest mile to get the job done. I am happy with the full experience I received from start to finish and will definitely contact him for any further projects I have. Thank you Chopping Block!

He's friendly but has a bad memory and didn't take notes as we discussed the job. Basically Damien and his crew have no follow through at all. Once on the job he'll forget most of the things he contracted to do, most of which were in writing in his contract and he'll simply leave you hanging. I had to remind him several times during the job what he had contracted to do, things he said he "remembered" or "understood" differently. They were in writing! He even called his own communication skills into question when I had to ask, again, why he wasn't doing the job per the contract. He offered to Clean up the pine needles and pine cones from my side yard. They didn't have a spare minute to address that at all. During our initial walk through, as I described the work I wanted done, he referred to "his crew", which sounded reassuring. He estimated the whole project would take Thursday, Friday and "into Saturday". He arrived with one man Thursday, they got very behind and never recovered. They spent the next 3 days in a rush, desperately cutting and tossing pavers into place til 7 pm Saturday. He returned Monday to finish the job until he had to leave to go buy a new truck early afternoon. He and his guy just took off and left several piles of ugly messes in my yard for me to clean up. I sent him photos and he didn't reply. The best part? Since the job was completed to his liking, he invoiced me $3000K+ on July 14, to be paid "before July 29 to avoid late fees". The very next day he charged my credit card that amount with no notice to me! Told me it was his right. I gave one star because I did get my paver patio. After that I've had nothing but bad business practice and frustration. And absolute silence when I reached out.

One thing to stood out to me is how quickly they were able to get the jobs done. Jeremy, the owner, is very good at coordinating the various workers so there was very little waiting time during the project. He moves the project along quickly and does very good work. Another thing to stood out to me is the quality of his drywall work. My basement has a rather peculiar texture pattern, but his guy was able to perfectly match the pattern, and his seams and taping were so clean that there's no way to tell there was ever any work done. The shower he remodeled for me turned out very well. He was even able to relocate an exhaust fan, expand the size of the shower, and the quality of the tile & grout-work came out very well. Next year I plan to use Amason All Around again to remodel my two downstairs bathrooms.
