C.P.S = scam I just received an official SS-4 application for Employer Identification Number where I already filled in online. This is a scam. Be careful. Do not respond to this company. read more

Legally nothing they do is a scam, but effectively everything they do is a scam. They write forms that look identical to government agency forms, and they do clarify that they are not a government agency nor a contractor to a government agency, which takes any liability away from them. They also write a vague statement regarding responses and due dates that are designed to make the reader immediately react so they don't get in trouble. In January I got a letter from them asking me to file NYS Biennial LLC fee, and at first it didn't make sense to me that the fee is higher than the LLC original filing fee. I put the letter in the drawer and took it out later to see what it is really about. They put a "respond by" date, but they never state the "due date" after which you can get in trouble with the state for missing it. So I am well past the "respond by" date they sent me, and I thought maybe there is an issue, I go on NYS website and sure enough, the Biennial LLC fee payment is not even open for processing yet, in other words, I can't even pay it. The fee NYS asks is $9 every 2 years, the fee these guys asked for is $150. NYS offers me the ability to e-file it, takes about 2 mins total to do. Meanwhile, this shady business wants me to write a check, mail it, pay $141 + mail cost EXTRA. So it's a massive UPCHARGE and a massive INCONVEIENCE. It is a psychological scam designed to prey on the uninitiated by using negative language to ensure compliance. Unfortunately, that isn't illegal... yet. read more

These despicable people use public records to target new small business owners to scam them out of money, time and energy. CPS solicited me to file my BOI with them whereas filing is free via FINCEN using inflammatory language meant to scare you with late fees. However, their real target is your personal and business information which can include: - Your passport data + photo copy - Your drivers license - Your EIN and home address - Your social security number Giving them any one of those can cause untold damage to your livelihood. Do not trust them and allow them to use your information to potentially commit fraud, such as: - Opening lines of credit on your personal/business accounts - Selling your data to other 3rd parties - Stealing your identity or committing tax fraud with your EIN It's astounding how they're still in operation after 8 years of reporting them to state and federal agencies. I would report this phishing scam directly to their domain host (GoDaddy.com) as WHOIS will not show the real perps due to GDPR. If you have given them your personal or business information, demand they delete any and all records via email and protect yourself by changing your SSN, Passport, freezing your lines of credit and alerting the IRS via Form 14039-B. read more

**SCAM ALERT** All the below reviews are so accurate! I was about to write a check for $150 before googling this document because I SWORE I had MAYBE a fee of $20 to file our INITIAL LLC Statement of information. To fear monger small business owners into paying money and threatening a $250 late fee is absurd and makes me sad to think of how many they've probably scammed in the process. Look alive people! Don't give this company your money! read more

The state should take the information, as there clearly is an address of C.P.S. @ 1026 Florin Road, #312 in Sacramento, CA 95831 and pay them a visit to cease and desist their deceptive operations unless they comply with full disclosure that they're not a state entity and declaring the granular details of what their $120 fee covers and what actual costs are for the LLC Statement of Information. CPS is banking on the lazy, ignorant and confused to just mistaken their solicitation letter as an official government request for payment. It's fairly clear by the reviews here and the materials they send, that they're trying to intimidate, strike fear, create a sense of urgency or act as if they're an official entity of the state to get people to send them the check for $120. I'm sure whomever has been swindled has cancelled checks to identify the account(s) being used to deposit the ill gotten gains. I hope the state steps in to protect the public from the deceptive marketing tactics. read more

Scam for Annual Report Filing in Florida! Got this in the mail today. They must have gotten my information from the Division of Corporations because it is public information. This "service" charges you $263.75 to do something that should cost you $150.00... and that is if they even bother to send in the report you send to them. Instead, If you are required to make an annal report to the Florida Division of Corporations, simply go to this website: https://dos.fl.gov/sunbiz/ after Jan. 1, 2025 and click on Annual Report under Filing Services and fill out the information for your business and save yourself $113.76.
