I went into this place after reading several reviews.I came in an I sat down not feeling this place. The instructor then walked in and was very enthusiastic about getting started. She was great, I learned more then 3 classes I've taken at other places and I felt like she wasn't just provide me a card but actually teaching me something that can change/save a persons life. Oh man where do I begin... I walked in for my renewal BLS class, not greeted with a "hi or good morning" The instructor was a tall African American man I believe his name is Fred (I could be wrong about the name). He asked for my name and to show him the payment, he then walked me back to the class room then asked if I had my old CPR card on me. I let him know that I don't have that card it's at my job, he said that I could not join the class if I don't have proof of my old CPR card (I've never heard of this policy and I've been attending CPR classes for about 10/11 years) he tells me "How do I know you need to renew, I need to see your old card" Well first of all "Fred" I wouldn't be just coming to this class just because.. obliviously I need to renew my card that's why I signed up and paid for a renewal class. I told him while I was signing up on line NOWHERE on the website does it say that I need to show proof of my old CPR card. Fred says "Yes it's on the website before you place your payment" again I told him your incorrect the website does not state that because if it did say bring in your old CPR card I would come prepared. I'm one of those people that reads the fine print on everything to avoid BS and lies like this. So I call my job (LLUMC) and they send an email with my CPR card, I show "Fred" and he tells me "oh we can't take that card it's incorrect" whaaaaat?! If my CPR card was invalid then I would not be working for the past 2yrs. By this point in time he started to get loud, rude, unprofessional, ignorant, talking over me, very degrading. I asked him to lower his voice and to not speak to me in that manner. So then he just walks off..... so unprofessional. So I follow him and I tell him that I will need my money back from this dump and I showed him on his website, confirmation letter and receipt that NOWHERE on there does it say you need to bring in your old CPR card or they only take certain CPR cards. So I guess that pissed him off even more because he continued to raise his voice be unprofessional and tell me that he's not going to argue with me (LOL I'm just showing you facts buddy). I ask him again for my money back and he tell me that I will get my money back in about 2 days. I told him "can I get that in writing please because I don't trust you guys and I need to have something in writing before I leave" he again gets loud unprofessional and rude and says he can't give me anything in writing and that I will see my money back in about 2 days. I tell him that I'm not leaving this dump until I have something in writing saying I will get a full refund. He storms off and comes back and slams a paper on the table and says "here is the refund paper for your money" so I get down to his level and tell him "thank you, now see that wasn't so hard for you to get, it took you all about 2-3 minutes to get me my refund ticket" that pissed him off even more the walks out of the room and slams the door behind him, I could then hear him talking to the 3 women in his class about what happened between us. Such a crybaby all because he wanted to make up some crap about seeing my old CPR card and my CPR card was not valid. Again I've been doing this for years and never had an issue. If you need to renew your CPR class or want to get a CPR class/card go elsewhere, spend the extra money and go elsewhere to honest trust worthy people. You don't want to bring business to these clowns. read more

Very professional and informative, yet such a fun learning experience! Our awesome instructor, Ms. Jamie Donald was so generous of her time to answer all of our questions and even encourage them. She made sure that we understood the topics being discussed and had more than enough practice on every aspect of the course before going to another subject matter. What an amazing class!!! I learned so much. Talk about a morning well spent. The most productive 4 hours of my life. Should a medical emergency arise I feel so prepared. Jamie Donald is amazing. So positive and so informative and just generally friendly. Put all 4 people in the class immediately at their ease and the play along video from American Heart Association was just the best. I have a First Aid kit in the trunk of my car and if God forbid a medical emergency does arise, I feel better prepared. I took this class since a few days ago I was in that situation and I felt that my ability to help the person in distress was somewhat limited. However no longer. Very rude instructor which is the wife of the male instructor. Threatened to throw me out because I was asking a question about the right certification. She made a mistake with my name on the card and said that it was I who made a mistake with writing my name on the sheet. I showed her the sheet which is correct and she gave me the right one while being sarcastic. I have been renewing my BLS certification at CPR Success for years. Fred and Jamie are the nicest, most accommodating people, not to mention fantastic instructors. The class to renew is fast, but thorough, and you don't feel like you've wasted an entire day reviewing information you already know. First time having a bad experience with this place. First, the CPR instructor Mike was late to the class. He started with "WELCOME TO BOOTCAMP for CPR" very rude, unprofessional, demanding, and was a big bully. Didn't feel like I learned anything from him. I wouldn't recommend going to this place as long as Mike is there. He needs to learn patience and kindness. I have very bad arthritis in my wrist and am limited to do physical work but I did demonstrate how to do effective CPR once. But mike demanded that I do the full 5 rounds of chest compressions with a hurt wrist. He said he wouldn't pass me and I would need to reschedule once I could do the full 5 rounds. I've been a nurse for 8 years and needed this renewal to continue working so I had to stay but he continued to yell and be unprofessional like it was a real bootcamp. I work for a large named hospital (Kaiser)and will never recommend this place to any of my coworkers, friends or family. Horrible experience. Mike needs to be retrained on how to treat people. I took this as a last minute class because I had overlooked my BLS had expired and I got a call for my job asking for it before I went in tonight. They were able to fit me in, the woman on the phone was very nice and helpful. The instructor gives you a lot of hands on action which prepares you for how chaotic giving CPR is, and prepares you for the test. He spoke about all the new rules for CPR, The video was also very informative and easy to follow. I will be using them again next time as well. read more

I needed to get this done in a day and they were the cheapest and fastest apt I could get. I signed up for a CPR class and apparently registered for the wrong one. They registered me in the right class and was able to start the class right away, I did not have to return. The class was small, only 4 people. And the hands on training made everything really simple to understand. Great place!!!! The instructor Fred was very nice and made sure we understood everything about saving a person's life. He went over certain parts of the video to make sure we know the importance of the information.
