This is a nightmare of a school. It is the cheapest option and accelerated, but DO NOT ATTEND. I…read morecannot speak on the quality of the other programs, but if you were considering OTC for surgical technology...run far away! The surgical tech program here only gives you the AST certification...not an AS degree or the national board certification that most hospitals and surgical centers look at for their new hires. Besides that, my instructor MELISSA RODRIGUEZ was extremely unprofessional, lazy, and more childish than most of the students attending the program. She would gossip about all of the students and if you did not try to be best friends with her and kiss her butt every second of the day, she would turn incredibly rude and give you no guidance whatsoever. There were so many things that I needed to learn that she never showed the class. A month before my lab final she excluded me from practicing in the OR with her simply because she had negative, personal feelings towards me. I witnessed her enabling cheating from my other classmates and the list of unprofessionalism just goes on and on... Unfortunately, the director of the program, TIMOTHY LAMB seems to protect her unprofessional behaviors instead of doing the right thing by the students and hiring a much better, and qualified instructor. The social environment of the program, and especially my own classroom became so toxic to me that I made the decision to withdraw halfway through this program in order to protect my mental health. If OCPS knows what's good for them and the success of the attending students, they would do a complete overhaul of the surgical technology department. I am currently enrolled to start a much better program at another school in the near future. I can't say I didn't receive SOME type of learning experience from my time there! Now, onto better and more positive experiences.

Yes, the cost is cheap but DAMN is the professionalism lacking! The admissions office NEVER answers…read morethe phone! There is absolutely no sense of urgency at alI when they have to complete something on their end. The website is super sketchy. I graduated there in 2019 and I have lost out on 2 jobs because they couldn't get a hold of these people to verify my course completion. Even taking into consideration the lowest of the low price, this school follow through and customer service is a freakin' joke. I can't speak on curriculum for every course obviously but for the nursing course the quality of the instruction you get is questionable honestly.

I had to give up something so it was my MTI membership. I called cust svc and spoke to a retention rep Vanessa. She was so uncaring and said I had to complete hours of tutorials and classes/quizes.. She even wanted medical records as proof.. How dare she! Like I want MTI having my medical records.. I spoke to a manager Benny de Jesus in Cust Svc.. He made several promises but never came through. He was useless.. It's taken hours on the phone which rolled into days and still I didn't get the promises made to me by Benny.. I played hours of tutorials. They want to hold onto your money as long as they can.. Now I'm paying interest on $4k and I'm not able to concentrate on trading in the forex market.. Buyer Beware...the contract you sign is overwhelmingly demanding and its a constant battle with them.. When your not feeling well who wants to deal with a business like that UPDATE.. I just got the email confirmation I was hoping for about my 100% refund.. I just hate having to fight for something I felt I deserved.. One cust svc rep said credit may not post for 4-6 weeks.. What! This email, from the same Vanessa, said it will be a couple of days.. I forgot to mention the Forex product is excellent and well worth it for people who can afford it and have a stable life.. and can devote the time and attention.. The training and classes and support are outstanding.. I recommend their product. They need to work on their service quality and that difficult contract.. And stop using the mute button when customer is talking.. It's disrespectful.. Their phn staff uses the mute constantly when your talking..That dead air.. you think your call dropped or something.. Best wishes, Melissa

Stay away from this school!…read more I completed my training elsewhere and came here for CDL testing. Examiner Jose Martinez was rude and dismissive from the first moment. When I asked how to open a compartment on an unfamiliar truck, he used the word "shit" in his response. His attitude made me feel targeted because I was not their student. He treated tires, lug nuts, and several other inspection items as unmentioned even though I explained them in detail. I strongly believe he deliberately denied me credit after our disagreement. The owner witnessed part of his behavior, yet the same unprofessional treatment continued after she intervened. They also refused my request to record the test for an objective record. I am filing a formal complaint with FLHSMV requesting an investigation into the examiner, the scoring, and the school's handling of this incident. Take your money elsewhere!
