    All Seasons Horse Riding

    All Seasons Horse Riding

    (54 reviews)

I've been meaning to write this review for a long time but life has a way of getting away from you…read more I took two blocks of lessons with All Seasons Horse Riding and their team is phenomenal. I had and rode horses as a kid but it had been a good 20 years since my last ride and I'd lost all the skills and confidence I once had. All Seasons helped me build that confidence right back up. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, patient and approachable. Every lesson there seriously felt like therapy. Just being around the horses, the kind folks and learning without a ton of pressure was always so nice. They make it a point to end each session on a high note - it's good for the horses and for you as a rider. During extra hot or rainy days, sometimes the riding lessons would be canceled but more often than not, the lesson would just be horsemanship and/or groundwork. I know some people only want the riding parts of the lessons but having instructors that can teach you the horsemanship and groundwork techniques is invaluable. You build so much more skill and appreciation for the horses that way. It allows you to actually foster relationships with the horses too. I enjoyed that aspect so much that sometimes I'd request those lessons even if the weather was good to ride. I had to take a break due to my own budget constraints but i will be back! The lessons are absolutely fairly priced and worth every dollar.

All Seasons Horse Riding is an incredible place to practice and learn horse riding skills! The…read moreteachers are unbelievably kind and friendly and they'll help your kid learn and grow from their experiences! The owner Julie is incredibly responsive. All seasons takes riders of all ages -- my child takes classes regularly, but I took just one class, and it was amazing. It's a great vibe: about learning, building skills, & challenging riders without being uber competitive. There is an emphasis on fun and building self-confidence that I see pay off for my kiddo in life, beyond horse classes.

May - We wanted to schedule a riding session using our Groupon because they are expiring soon…read more Bethe says sorry, 'We are booked through end of June because of a deadly horse virus and are running in limited operations mode." But she says they will honor the Groupon through the end of the year. Ok, fine with us. August - Called and left a message to book a session on September. After no response in one week, I called and left a message AND an email to follow up. Finally got an email three days later saying she just got back from a horseshow competition. She says ok, we can schedule your session in September. I email her back immediately because I want to schedule lesson #2 because she is difficult to get a hold of. September - I email to confirm our lesson #1 date. She replies and says, "I'm sorry, we don't have you scheduled on that date. I thought it was last week. But hey, there's an opening tomorrow for your 2nd lesson". I want to cry. End of September - We email Bethe saying we give up and call Groupon to get a refund. Outcomes: a. I now question Groupon's quality of vendors. b. My friend and I really let our group of friends down with all the back and forth of scheduling rides. Made us look incompetent. c. I really wanted to go horseback riding but now am afraid to go near this place and meet with Bethe in person for fear of more disappointment.

I can't say enough great things about Community Concern For Cats (CC4C)! Their dedication to…read morehelping cats and kittens in our community is truly inspiring. Every volunteer I've met has been kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the well-being of every cat they care for. I especially want to give a huge shout-out to Lea. She runs the Saturday afternoon adoption events at Pet Food Express in Martinez (except on the third Saturday of the month), and she truly goes above and beyond. It's obvious how deeply she cares about every cat's health, safety, and future. Her compassion, patience, and unwavering dedication make a real difference--not only for the cats but also for the people who come looking to adopt. Volunteers like Lea are the heart and soul of this organization. With the overwhelming cat population increasing every year, these volunteers give so much--not just their time, but also their homes, their energy, and even money out of their own pockets--to help these animals. Their selflessness and commitment are nothing short of amazing, and they deserve so much appreciation for all they do. If you're looking to adopt, I highly recommend visiting one of CC4C's adoption events like the one at Pet Food Express in Martinez. The volunteers are always welcoming, happy to answer questions, and committed to matching each cat with the right family. Thank you, CC4C, and thank you, Lea, for everything you do to give these cats a second chance. You're making a lasting impact in the lives of both the animals and the families who adopt them. I wholeheartedly recommend supporting this incredible organization.

Someone on Nextdoor referred us to a woman who volunteers for CCforCats and she came out for 2 days and patiently "trapped" the kitties and took them to a foster family. She was incredible and the fact that there was someone willing and able to foster 5 try scared kitties was very impressive.
