We have had the absolute pleasure of working with Maaike for almost two years and would highly recommend her if you are looking for a reputable, highly skilled equestrian trainer, instructor, and mentor.
I really can not say enough about how great she is. I have seen more advancement in my daughter's technical abilities since she started training under Maaike. My daughter's knowledge of horsemanship has grown exponentially, as has mine. Most importantly, Maaike has made the sport fun, safe and challenging for my daughter. Moreover, Maaike has created an environment at the barn that is welcoming for all ages and personalities. We truly feel part of the barn family. She is charismatic, has positive energy, is very patient and has excellent communication skills. She is honest, hard-working and truly cares about each and every student. She goes the extra mile to make sure that the students are achieving their goals and takes the additional steps to ensure the wellbeing of the horses under her care.
In respect to the other services she offers, shortly after we transferred over from another barn it was apparent that our daughter had outgrown her pony. New to the horse world, Maaike guided us through the process of securing an incredible horse (our unicorn) that will be my daughter's forever friend for the years to come and will allow her to continue to grow as a rider. The purchase process can be overwhelming with trial rides, vet checks, transfers, getting the horse settled, and training. Maaike was there every step of the way.
