After purchasing a Christmas cookie event as a birthday gift for my sister a few months ago. I was…read moreexcited to do one with my husband. I booked the Conversation Heart Cookie, aka "Creator's" conversation heart cookie class lol, which was emphasized at the beginning and twice during the class. The class came with 6 cookies to decorate and a beverage from the Hopfly Brewery. Laura and the ladies taught us how to put filler as a background on the cookie and other neat little tricks to do. The icing was really tasty and went well with my mango passion fruit cheesecake blender drink. I think the class and brewery was a good idea. But, I honestly did not like the fact that I paid $60 for this event that was diluted by the highlight of "The Creator's " being on set for free with a guest. I think there should have been a separate private class for them vs the way it was done. I get this is the New way to spread the word about your business. But it should not out shadow your paying guest. Being mindful is big in my book.

We recently decided to try the Story of Ramen as my daughter was celebrating her 16th birthday and…read morehad strong interest in the culture and loves Ramen. When we arrived the location was immaculate having a spacious sun room area for us to sit and dine after finishing with the preparations. Our group of 10 was handled with extra care allowing each person to mix, measure, and pour ingredients then crafting our dough into perfect shaped noodles. The arrangements were clean and well stocked and amazingly delicious. It was a true hands on fun experience; I would try again and high recommend those foodies that love to get their hands dirty while learning from two wonderful experts about the history of Ramen. You must try the egg that was marinated for 24 hours that in itself was a treat, and defiantly try the spicy sauce. When you leave you will be full with a smile thinking I am glad a tried this.

My son has done this camp for 3 years and really enjoys it. Having a brother who is a professional…read morechef, I feel this camp is the closest camp to chef school out there. Students have the option of baking camp (they bring home daily baked goods) or cooking camp. My son did the later. They learn food prep and clean up, how to properly sauté, chop, hold knives etc. They prep the daily lunch that is served for all the students. The bakery group usually sends home daily baked goods with this group in exchange for lunch. The last day parents are invited to feast on all the recipes that the students learned to make throughout the week.

My daughter did this camp and thought it was a waste of time. Unlike other cooking camps where kids…read moremake their own dishes, this is a line cook approach so she would only do a small part of a dish like cutting onions or kneading dough. She said she didn't get to actually cook anything. The instructors cooked which defeats the purpose of a class like this. The foods the classes prepared became lunch for everyone but then my daughter's class had to clean all the pots, pans, silverware, dishes etc. They spent an hour and a half washing dishes daily! For a $600 camp I did not expect that. The students were not allowed to bring home any leftover either (in the savory food camp). I can't recommend this camp.

I am so happy to have found Chef Kev. He is a personal chef but does drop off dinners/meals which…read moreis just amazing for a busy household with young kids. He does our Monday - Thursday dinners and it's been fantastic not having mental load of trying to figure out what's for dinner every single night in addition to cooking it. My husband and I have more time to spend together and with the kids. The flavors and variety of meals are always incredible and so fresh. Not one meal has been a disappointment. I have to mention that he makes the absolute best steak I've ever had. Imo Chef Kev is clearly skilled at what he does, but he's also just a great communicator and makes the whole process feel seamless. I highly recommend working with him. I believe he also does private dinner parties and events but I have not had a chance to go down that route but I certainly will.

He told me to buy a specific grill which I did, and to pay him 100% up front for the services which I also did. It's been almost 2 weeks and he continues to say "I'll send it tomorrow", "no need to follow up with me I'll send it" and never does. Seems this has happened to other people as well. Use caution.

There's kids night out where it's a theme session. Last time was Minecraft so everything is in green even the ranch dipping sauce for the chicken tenders. Pretty funny! Their website is a little hard to add kids to. For example: I have my son, 2 nephews and their 1 friend. It asked for us to pick how it's related to the payer. Well it didn't give me an option for relatives and friend of the payer. So I register them the best I could and sent the staffs a note on that part. The theme session lasted 2 hrs. Kids cook, eat and play. It's soo much better than them playing games at home. But if you want them to stay an extra hr beyond the 6pm to 8pm than it will be an additional $10. I would like to register the kids to this every month. They liked it and I get to make them do something else beside video games soo win win!
