The addition of their handheld sandwiches along with their incredibly clever and beautiful boards (and locally sourced flowers/foliage) made for a stunning and delicious centerpiece for our reception. No regrets, and I am looking forward to visiting the shop and booking them again for our catering needs in the future!!

I have to say the I have been honored to work with many clients during the planning their special event and there are few vendors that have really stood out to me. Seasoned Provisions is one!! I can't stress the appreciation I feel towards them!! Communication was spot on, and the food was out of this world!! Thank you, Chef William and to your staff!!! You guys helped create a special night to remember for the bride, groom and their families!! I am looking forward to working with you again in the near future!!

Throughout the process, the Chef was communicative, excited, and understanding. He worked with us to tailor a delicious menu, came on time, prepared the food beautifully... and of course, the food was DELICIOUS. He prepared so much food for us that we were happily eating leftovers for days :D He even went out and got us Tupperware since we forgot ours. For weeks after the wedding, my wife and I were talking about how much we missed Chef Hassan. I would absolutely recommend the Chef over and over again for any event, and I cannot wait to get back to Charlotte to have him cook for us again. Thank you Chef!!! :D

A few days later I tried to order the same again and they were out again. They do not update the availability of their items. You just order and pray they have what you want. And if you don't get what they offer to you instead, they disrespect you and then still don't apologize but instead gaslight you calling YOU the mean one when you respond to them about their disrespect. Then they refuse to cancel the order trying to make you do it for them. To make matters worse, I posted my review on Google (initially to the wrong profile but it's fixed now) and they sent another nasty response (that I have a screenshot of) basically saying I was the nasty one, coming at me for not having any reviews on that initial profile and telling me to post the entire convo. So I did there and here. I hate to do this to a small black owned business, but this is on them. It's what they wanted.

I didn't realize that I needed to look for "The City Kitch" instead of Boujee Soul Food, but I figured it out after going in and asking around. It's a great concept. Several eateries share the same location. Once you arrive, you scan the barcode on a hanging sign, select which eatery you ordered from, and someone from your eatery will come from the back with your food. You can also order when you arrive. Fortunately, I ordered in advance so I didn't have much of a wait. There are a few seats inside if you'd like to eat there, but on a Saturday afternoon like yesterday, it's best to take your food and go. There were lots of people in that space just standing around, waiting for orders from different places. My husband and I both thought the wontons were the biggest hit of the day. Fresh, hot, delicious. We both could've eaten more of them. The unique spin on the deviled eggs was interesting. I love fresh deviled eggs as-is. The fried take on them wasn't my preference, but they were still good and I ate a few. My husband doesn't like standard deviled eggs at all, but he absolutely loved the fried deviled eggs here. We had high hopes for the oxtail sliders, but the meat didn't taste like oxtails. It wasn't seasoned. I envisioned Caribbean Hut oxtail meat on a slider, but it didn't taste anything like that. The coleslaw was delicious and the slider bread was super fresh. All in all, the majority of items we ordered were fantastic, and I'll check them out again in the future.
