The office is NEVER open, even though a very bright red "Open" sign is blinking in the window. Every time we went by, the door was locked, and it did not matter if it was a weekend or weekday, good luck trying to figure out the hours the office and "store/bait shop" was open.
This place is also very snobbish, cliquish, and basically an unfriendly campground. The "owner" Amy is very ambivalent, she says one thing, but her actions yell something completely different. Don't let me forget the jackass maintenance guy, Dennis who YELLED at us and scared my children and was just plain RUDE, not only to us, but other families who were there for the weekend! We went swimming, and the 'residents' basically ignored us, even if we smiled and said hello.
If Amy, her family and her 'friends' in the campground don't want you there, they will do everything in their power to make sure you leave, including making up a bunch of bullshit lies about the "guidelines" the 'owners' of Cozy Corner must follow to keep their Good Sam rating, but after talking to Good Sam and searching their guidelines, it is now apparent we were told lies, and it didn't take us long to figure out we were not welcome from the start.
If you want to be flooded out when it rains, this is the place for you. The main road through the campground appears to have enough gravel, but the second and last one towards the woods, expect water to be running through your campsite or pooling up in your camp due to a lack of grading and trenching. You could very well be parking in mud. After severe weather, heavy storms and high winds blew through, the 'owners' don't bother to go around and check if the campers were okay. If they did, and saw you might have had some damage, neither the owners nor any other 'resident' bothered to ask if you needed any assistance.
If you want to see the daily golf cart tour of the residents driving around the place, not smiling or waving, and wondering when the residents who lives by the motto "it's 5 o'clock somewhere" (which most likely starts at noon), are going to hit something, then pull on in, this place is for you.
But, if you would rather be in a place, where people say hello, the manager/owner is helpful and considerate, and is actually looking out for her "tenants", find a spot elsewhere, head towards Warsaw, there are plenty of RV Parks/Campgrounds along the way. read more
