Two people on staff is not enough when it's busy, especially if they have to prepare somewhat elaborate items. We probably waited 10 minutes for our orders. My mother-in-law had a breakfast bagel and my mom and I tried an espresso and ice cream desert. This desert is awesome by the way and consists of coffee ice cream, condensed milk, espresso and a chocolate wafer stick. There might even be some whipped cream in there. Tumbleweed is a nice change of scenery after a few hours of everything vintage.

It was situated in High River, Alberta, around 45 minutes from Calgary. We did not hesitate to drive there. Since there are limited seating, make sure you book in advance. Three tiered tea was fantastic, we ordered earl grey and English breakfast tea, the tea comprised of scones, clotted cream and jam, sandwiches, blackberry macaroons with balsamic filling,amaretti cookies and sugared grapes and trifles, mini pumpkin pies. The owner of the tea house was very accommodating, excellent customer service. The staff were nice and warm. Offered fresh brewed coffee and even brought it to my table one time. There's plenty of free street parking. When you step out there's plenty of other shops to explore. They have the Marble Slab Creamery. Of course the Chairman's Steakhouse. Yes there's a beach and sand, in the middle of the neighbourhood. Awesome! A paved running trail is conveniently located around the beach. I've gotten a couple of London Fogs here and they're pretty on the mark. So many places make them way too sweet. The building faces east and there's some nice big windows at the front so you can enjoy your morning brew sitting in the sunshine and reading something from their sizable magazine rack. They do have some food options including sandwiches and baked goods which are pre-assembles and individually wrapped. The service has been friendly and served with a smile on both occasions I've popped in for a pick-me-up while out on a job site.
