First of all, out of all the several glass companies in Cheyenne they were the first to respond and give me a quote within 5 days, the others never responded. Hmmm must be a good day to go fishing! Once we gave them the go ahead they followed up with calls to let us know the shower doors had arrived, it took 8 weeks( they quoted 10 wk) unfortunately, it was made wrong by their suppliers, they worked hard to get replacement, 8 weeks later new shower doors. They never made any excuses, we were patient and so were they, considering how all the supply company's are all having issues. Kris (Owner) and his installers Carl and Joe were on top of everything and very helpful along with the people in the office as well. This is definitely a Company that takes pride in their business. When a local window company gave us an unusually high estimate to replace our fogged up, hard to…read moreslide patio door, we checked out Yelp for a better company. We found great reviews for JDI Windows. Rex, the owner, came out to do an estimate, and it sounded reasonable. His service manager Casey came out to measure. He estimated 6 weeks for the door to arrive. 6 weeks later on the dot, the installation took place. All appointments were scheduled and conducted on time with highly competent, efficient and friendly employees. Casey and Mark arrived, covered the work area and carpet, and two hours later we had a new smooth operating, clear see-thru, sturdy sliding glass door in place. Extreme disappointment regarding the quality and installation of the 18 Simonton windows I…read morepurchased from JDI. The overall product quality is unsatisfactory, and the installation was subpar. I continue to experience drafts and excessive noise through all the windows. The amount of noise I receive from planes (I live nowhere near an airport) and cars is crazy; it was never like this with my old builder grade windows. Furthermore, the caulking is very sloppy. The owner said he was ok with the work and threatened to place a lien on my property the day after the windows were installed if I didn't pay, even though I was not satisfied. Following the owner's suggestion, I completed a Home Energy Audit. I have attached a few photos from that audit which clearly demonstrate significant temperature differences. I have also attached videos demonstrating the air leakage using a fog machine.(I can't attach all the pictures and videos I have and would be happy to share) After I called the troubleshooter radio show, the owner sent a crew to insulate three of the windows that I felt were the worst (which helped a little). I was then asked to pay for the insulation of the remaining windows. It is unclear why new windows would be installed without proper spray foam insulation in the first place. Additionally, two of the windows still do not close or lock correctly, even after the sashes were replaced twice. Given my significant investment, this has been a regrettable experience.
