It was a Sunday when we visited Bern and of course everything is closed - we had a nice lunch at…read moreThe Beef. There were just two people managing the restaurant and service the entire time we were there. Note that there is an outdoor patio, the first level bistro and the bar area - approx 18 tables that could be full at any given time. I note this because although the food was good the service is extremely slow- even for those that sit and relax after their meal. It was hard to get drinks and service timely so they could be enjoyed. As for the food - we had the ladies filet - rib eye - with lobster tail - and garlic herb risotto. The most flavorful part with the risotto - although the steak was cooked perfectly it lacked in flavor. If you have time and want to sit and enjoy your meal for awhile this is the place for you - for the money we wish the service was better - maybe add a service person to help keep up with requests and needs of customers

That happened to be the quickest part of the night. We ordered drinks and got those pretty quickly. It was our food that took around 1.5hrs to get to our tables. I thought the store was going to close on us before we got our food. It finally got there and it was good but I'm not sureure if I was just super hungry or it was really good. I'd gotten 200g sirloin, added a lobster tail and a baked potato and sour cream. That plus water ended up being close to $85usd. Not sure if this would be a place I'd recommend to someone else first but it's an option for sure. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks and a good time was had by all.

An upscale and hip burger and wing spot in the center of a European city, what's not to love?!…read more We popped in as our last meal in Switzerland and were extremely grateful for the staff to allow us to eat even though we didn't have a reservation. (Note: make a reservation if you dream of eating here) After looking through the menu we started with the house-flavored wings and LOVED them. In fact, my wife thought they were some of the best she's ever had! We then both had burgers and shared fries. The portions are very well-sized and I don't think you'll leave hungry. The flavor and food quality helps with that aspect as well - both are top notch! The ambiance is super chill while maintaining an upscale fit and finish. On a nice day you could even eat outside at their tables, would be a wonderful treat given the little square it borders. A word of caution: prices are at a premium (even for Switzerland). I'm a fan of Wolf and couldn't recommend it enough for lunch or dinner. Get a reservation for tomorrow and thank me later.

The sandwiches are fair size and come with all the fixings you want or plain if that's your thing. Both had good flavor and were cooked just right. They are also a brewery. I had the in house Wolf Beer pale. It had good body and went down easy.

If you were looking for a steakhouse in Lausanne, this is the place you want to try for sure. The…read morerestaurant-café located in Prilly has fresh meat from the butchery next door. They have huge selection of meats going from Pork, Horse, Beef but you also have some Seafood and Pasta selection. Atmosphere 3/5: This is a typical café restaurant Swiss style. Nothing over the top or fancy, this place is more a stop and go for the truck drivers as well. The place is a clean place to eat tho. They have a bar section as well and a terrasse outside. Food 5/5: I think this is one of the prime spot for Steakhouse lovers. The meat served are quiet big as you can see on the pictures and they serve it with 3 different kind of sauces; Café de Paris, Pepper sauce or Mushroom sauce. I read that if you ask for a sample of all 3 of them, they would bring it with no extra charge. The fries are good as well. The salad is alright, nothing over the top but you can feel that everything is fresh there. Service 3/5: The service was alright. They were nice to accept us at 1.45pm on a Saturday but we sometimes had some trouble to get in touch with our waitress. The service was fast tho, we were served food quickly and everything went smoothly. In conclusion, if you're a steak lover, give it a shot! The price isn't excessive at all and the price/quality is pretty good for what you're getting. A horse entrecôte is 24 CHF which includes a Green salad as well.

Looks not very fancy, but what a terrific meat! Good choice…read moreof wines. You won't regret visiting this restaurant.
