Kayla got me set up in a wheelchair and offered to bring me my ID and the check-in tablet so I wouldn't have to get up. We had quite a wait, but once we got in a room things moved quickly. My PA, Amy (with dark, curly hair--she says they have two Amys) was very compassionate and did a thorough exam, and collaborated with me on the treatment plan, including being willing to give me a steroid injection when I asked (after educating me on the pros and cons). She also gave me an rx for a muscle relaxant and OTC recommendations. Upon waking the next morning, I am still wincing and walking bent over, but no longer shouting and swearing from the pain. With three days left of vacation I have high hopes that I'll be able to mostly enjoy myself and participate gently in the rest of our planned activities.
