If you are looking for an insurance agent in Austin, avoid this agent and this office. State Farm…read moreis a great company (and I would give them 5-stars). There are plenty of other agents in town, so do yourself a favor and stay away from Karen Easterling!!! We are switching to a new agent today and have filed a complaint against her office. Here is why: The only time we heard from Karen's office is around our birthdays each year trying to sell us life insurance (which we keep telling them we already have through our employers). Every time I have had to call or visit her office her staff has been rude and unhelpful. But here is the worst part... back in 2008, we moved across town and wanted to change State Farm agents, Karen refused to let us switch. Again in 2013, still dissatisfied with her service we again tried to switch to another agent and insisted on trying to talk me out of it over the phone. When I was not convinced she insisted my wife would also have to call and tell her to her face that she wanted to switch agents. My wife hates dealing with crap like this, so we were again stuck with Karen. The final straw was in April 2015. When faced with a major issue related to our auto policy, we contacted our agent (as instructed by customer service) and she was completely unhelpful and downright nasty to me. Agents are supposed to advocate for their clients, but you will not get that from Karen's office. Both my wife and I grew up with parents with State Farm for 20+ years. We have had State Farm together since we have been out of College. Because of the fantastic job the corporate office did to resolve our recent issue, we will be staying with State Farm, but with another agent. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM KAREN EASTERLING!

After 16 years with USAA, I switched to David Simmons and it was the best decision I made for me…read moreand my family. Not only did we get a lower rate- believe it or not, but we have the best personal/customer service from David. No matter the day or time he is always there to answer and help. He is punctual, educated, professional, kind and will work hard no matter what the task. Hands down, from a home claim, and recent auto accident claim with my college kiddo... David was on the phone handling it all. He took care of everything for us so I could be there for my daughter- David knows this industry and he knows family. He puts yours first and that, I will pay anything for. No loop holes, no agents to repeat yourself 6 times to- just David! Thank you David for taking such good care of my family and I. You're #1 in AUSTIN!

Lynn Osler and her staff wrote the book on customer service…read more I don't use "no service" cheap providers because my grandfather taught me you get what you pay for. But in the case of Lynn Osler, I get what I believe is more than I pay for. From regular reviews of my insurance needs to concierge service on those occasions when a claim is necessary, Lynn and her team make me feel well taken care of. I originally started with state farm decades ago with a different agent close to where ai lived. He kept burning through staff and I always felt as though I was helping to train his new people. When I learned Lynn was not only my neighbor, but with State Farm too, I moved all my policies to her office immediately. I never had an insurance worry again. She does the worrying for me and my family. You can tell by my review profile that I'm not the axe-to-grind entitled Yelper specializing in one-star reviews. My reason to yelp is to recognize outstanding businesses and let people know about them. Lynn's team IS outstanding. So, if you want to save a dollar or two, or need an animal mascot on your commercials, call the other guys. However, if you want a full service insurance rep that cares about more than writing a policy, and actually cares about your needs, call Lynn. You will be glad you did.

Ashby was responsive throughout the process, clearly explained the different rate and point options, and worked through several unusual title and underwriting issues as they came up. He was also proactive about keeping the loan on track and helping offset some costs that arose late in the process. Overall, Ashby was knowledgeable, accessible, and easy to work with.
