Andrews Garage another word Andrews Garbage…read more On the 28th December 2011, I saw 2 adds on the auto trader for ford galaxy, one of the advert was as follows FORD GALAXY 1.8 LX TDCI 5 DOOR DIESEL 7 SEATER MPV MPV£7,6952007 (57 reg), People CarrierTrade seller, distance: 85 miles 75,374 miles Manual 1.8L Diesel 1 0 5 Doors, Manual, MPV, Diesel, 75,374 miles, SILVER. Full service history, ICE - Radio/CD, Air-Conditioning - Auto, Central Door Locking - Remote, Immobiliser, ABS, PAS, Parking ... So I called them on the same day (as it did not have any photo of the car) and spoke to a lady who asked which car we were taking about as they had 2 galaxy, one was light blue 07 plate zetec model and the other was silver 57 plate LX model and informed both were still available, so i told her i was interested in the silver LX model, so she gave me more details of the car and also mentioned that the rear windows were electric and had Alloys. she told me that they were closing at 4pm so we had to go atleast an hour early. I spoke to my brother who told me it was impossible for an LX model to have rear windows electric but may have alloys, it could be that the previouse owner had put it on. So my brother called and the same lady answered. she also informed the same things to my brother so we got the address 4 Caludon Road Stoke Coventry CV2 4LP Tel: (02476) 458635 Tel2: (02476) 459605 Fax: (02476) 441327 and headed for the almost 2 hours journey from London. when we got there, we could not see any one on the forecourt, I and my brother took a tour but could not locate any of the galaxy but the rest of the cars were spanking show room condition. We walked in the building/office and saw a lady behind the a tinted glass known as the office, we informed her that we called and she said yes I remember, my brother asked can some one show us the car, she said its in the forcourt, we told her it wasnt there, she repllied "strange", she called some one and a man came out, we told him we came to see the silver 57 plate galaxy, he looked surprised and said its not her yet, its coming on Saturday. We told him we came all the way from London cos the lady told us it was here and explained to him, he went and spoke on the intercom to another guy, he said take them and show it. The guys then told us that the car was in the other garage which was few minutes down the road, told as to jump back in our car and follow him. we went following him down the road, there was another garage with a sign saying accident repairs, free quotes. the foucourt looked like a scrapp yard, he went and opened the shutter, we went in and saw 2 galaxy along side other cars which were either damaged, getting repainting etc, the blue 07 plate galaxy had masking tape on the saide near the front passenger door, it was getting ready to get painted. the man then pointed at the car we were interested in, it was def 57 plate but the colour was gold not silver, the wheels wornt alloys either, the car looked mashed up had dents and the back bumper was broken, looked as if it had an impact at the rear. the dash board was taped up with sellotape( no wonder he said the car was coming to the site on saturday). I told the guy maybe I'm colour blind but the car is gold and not silver as described, he then said no you are right its gold, I said whats the mileage on it, he then told me it was the same mileage as advertaised, it was LX model though. I then showed him the advert on the auto trader on my iphone, he then replied very strange, nevery seen that car, then i told him that the lady said it was available. he then walked away and spoke to someone on the phone. came back and said the car you came to see is sold mate, im really sorry. "SORRY" the man says...... Stay away from this garage, the cars are all unrecorded accidental cars which they repair, paint and then sell it, no wonder the cars in the main garage forcourt look showroom condition. DONT TRUST THIS PPL, they made us travel so far for nothing. they wasted our entire day, BUT I must say at least I got to see what kind of garbage they have in stock.

I was impressed by the reviews on their website and that was my first mistake. There are no dates…read moreon the customer reviews so they could have been from the 1990's when it was a family business. I did buy a car from them and the salesman was extremely nice and helpful until I had signed the contract. He had told me they did a 16 point check before they let a car go, but afterwards could not produce anything to prove what was checked. He just said "we make sure it's okay for you". I now believe this was a blatant lie, as I had to top the oil amongst other things myself. They told me a date that it would be ready and that they would phone me to say how it was going beforehand. They never did and I had to phone him several times on the day to ask if it was ready. It eventually was at about half past four. When I got there the chap told me he had had second thoughts about having my trade-in vehicle and hacked 50% off the value to 'show goodwill'. He claimed because the owner was on holiday he hadn't got the authority to go any higher. Even though I had driven up from Northampton for the car, I was on the point of walking out and giving up, when he agreed to up this a little and eventually gave me 80% of the original price he had offered and said it was out of his own pocket. He even charged me a fee to put the tax disc on. I felt completely conned. It was worse the next day. I discovered I had 2 slow punctures. They must have known as their foreign 'car mover' would have had to inflate them every couple of days so they looked ok on the forecourt. I phoned and left messages for the owner and emailed but never got a reply. I would not go back there again.

I've been going to Richard for 3+ years, I had a service 2 weeks ago all was OK until my oil light…read moreflashed two weeks after it supposedly had 4.5 litres of new oil according to my service invoice from Richard. 4.5 litres would normally last 6 months. I pulled over and checked the dip stick and to my horror it was bone dry. I have had other mechanics to have a look at my vehicle and they have confirmed that no service or oil change was carried out on my vehicle and certainly not in the past two weeks. After a visit and telephone call with Richard who stumbling over his words, he refused to accept that this was the case but could not explain why the dip stick was bone dry and where 4.5 litres of oil could have gone after two weeks. His own mechanic checked my vehicle's sump tank for any leaks and no issues were found. No offer of an oil change was offered at this point or a refund. How can I trust Richard now? I am deeply hurt and disappointed even after having raised the issue as a regular customer. Other mechanics have confirmed that none of the filters have been changed and that the service message on the vehicle was simply just reset.

Not to be confused with another garage with a very similar name! It's the one on Dutton Road in…read moreCoventry. I previously used another 'branded' garage for our car as it was convenient for work, and it was okay, but when we bought a motorhome we wanted a garage we could take both vehicles to that was good, reliable and affordable. RMS had good reviews, but you never know really until you try it, but we've used them the last few years and I can honest say that they have been exceptional. They've sorted a few issues we've had with our car and a major issue with our motorhome (thanks to the previous garage which could've meant a new engine), but Rich's contacts, skills and determination sorted both problems out and for much less than expected. No problems with MOTs either as they did my Astra while I waited. Never had a better garage and certainly worth a positive review. Can definitely recommend and would be worth travelling to.
